1 Other Fuel System Pump problem of the 2006 Chrysler 300C

Failure Date: 02/26/2021

Fuel vapor was leaking into our car through air vents and from fuel pump itself. It caused the car to fail and not start. Had to replace fuel pump, yet same thing keeps happening. Now gasoline leaks from the outside underneath the car (when driving, or parked but with car turned over) where the fuel pump is non stop.

2 Other Fuel System Pump problem of the 2006 Chrysler 300C

Failure Date: 09/14/2020

7/11-5/12, I took my 2006 300c hemi into my dealership for my car stalling after I have driven it past 1/4 tank then fill it up. I was told different repairs was causing the issue. On 5/4/12 I got an answer it was my fuel tank. My warranty ran out 12/10 the dealer wanted $1500 to replace the tank. I contacted chry corp explained what I had been dealing for the last 10 mos. I didn't have money to repair. Chry offered to help had me pay a deductible of $245. My mileage was about 57,000. I was thankful for Chrysler helping me out. In 2013 there was a recall on the fuel tank. I called chry corp again and they said yes it is a recall & offered to refund me back for the deductible I paid. Now in 2020 my car is doing the exact thing, (125k mi) wanting to stall/does stall after I ran past 1/4 tank, then fill it up. I took my car to my private mechanic, he told me this is a recall take it to the dealership. I called the dealership, they said my VIN # was not on the list. I called chry corp explained what I was experiencing. They told me they do not take 3rd party diagnosis, I needed to take it to a certified chry dealer. I did and they confirmed it was my fuel tank! Chrysler corp said there's nothing they could do for me my VIN# does not qualify, besides the warranty expired! on the forums I read said this recall is a lifetime recall. I sent my work orders to both dealer & corporate and the dealership said my fuel tank was never replaced just fuel pump. All these years I never let gas tank get lower than 3/4 tank, it was a habit from my prior problems. Until 9/14/20 I ran my gas past 1/4 tank and filled up. As soon as I was driving on side streets when I would come to a stop at a signal and start to go. My car would do the exact same thing as 2011-2012! sending all my info I was still denied by Chrysler to fix fuel tank recall!! please help, to repair now it's $2500!!!.

4 Other Fuel System Pump problem of the 2005 Chrysler 300C

Failure Date: 03/03/2019

Takata recall . My 2005 Chrysler 300c 5. 7 started smelling like gas every time I filled up the tank. Time past till I decided to take a look why it smelled like gas. Furst thing to check was the fuel pupms. Finding thst the passenger side had a budle of gas ontop of the fuel pump housing . I replaced the rubber gasket but that didnt help at all . So now I need to replace the fuer pump because it looks like it might have a crack somewhere .

5 Other Fuel System Pump problem of the 2013 Chrysler 300C

Failure Date: 11/20/2018

On more than 20 occasions, while traveling at speeds in excess of 60 mph, the vehicle abruptly shuts off. Everything is completely off. Engine, powertrain, power steering and power brakes. Sometimes there's a warning light that flashes after the shut down that looks like a reddish orange sideways z lighting bolt. The check engine goes on sometimes and other times it does not. When it goes on it sometimes stays on and sometimes it disappears. I've had 2 Chrysler dealers and 1 independent mechanic run diagnostics and no one can pinpoint the problem. So far, I've replaced the throttle body, hanged the transmission fluid and pan, and had the fuel system cleaned. I'm being told that maybe it's the fuel pump or the power train control module. The shit has only occurred at highway speeds so far. Thankfully, I've been able to pull off on the shoulder every time. That may because I avoid roads with no shoulders and only drive in the right hand lane. This is obviously a very dangerous situation and has rendered the vehicle unsafe for highway driving. I've discovered a current Chrysler recall, u87 that appears to be exactly my symptoms, but my Chrysler dealer could not find a code that proved it.

6 Other Fuel System Pump problem of the 2006 Chrysler 300C

Failure Date: 09/10/2018

2006, Chrysler, 300c starboard fuel pump leaking from the plastic housing. I changed the o-ring and it still leaks gas. The gas puddles on top of the plastic gas pump housing. Fumes accumulate in the passenger area and outside near the bottom of the car. This happens when the gas tank is above 1/2 full. It doesn't matter if the car is driving, running or the engine off.

7 Other Fuel System Pump problem of the 2011 Chrysler 300C

Failure Date: 09/18/2017

Fuel pump cracked at top of fuel pump. Car has low milage 11,300 and for the safety of others we feel it should be a recall on the pump. The pumps sit under the back seat of car. Dangerous to think of people sitting on top of them. We even had to get rid of the awful gas smell. Our car had sit in the garage and we are so thankful the gas furnace or something else did not ignite the gas standing on top of pump.

8 Other Fuel System Pump problem of the 2006 Chrysler 300C

Failure Date: 03/14/2015

I noticed that my car will stall out after I have filled the tank up with gas. I use the recommend gas grade the book said to use. The problem has been happening since February. It will drive away from the pump or gas station without a problem but will stall in traffic or while at a light I had the fuel pump replace a month ago and it will stall out I don't know what else the problem can be but a car stalling out in traffic can cause a accident.

9 Other Fuel System Pump problem of the 2006 Chrysler 300C

Failure Date: 11/19/2014

2006 Chrysler 300c-(aprox. 45000 miles) car started randomly shutting off when stopping or turning. Problem became more frequent to shutting off while driving, idling, and shifting backwards. Chrysler replaced the fuel tank but problem continues. Told by the Chrysler dealership we need to replace the fuel pumps as they aren't working properly but at our own expense. Independent mechanic said pumps seem to be working fine. Does not register a code on diagnostic test. Our car has 45,000 miles and this is a known problem. . . We should not be having engine stalling troubles!!.

10 Other Fuel System Pump problem of the 2006 Chrysler 300C

Failure Date: 10/12/2014

Car continues to lose power in the midst of driving down the highway it in traffic. We experienced power failure some 45 times last night driving home. At one point we could not go faster than 45 mph. The fuel pump has been changed and the issue has not stopped. Now the Chrysler tech says that the computer is not communicating with the transmission and a module is needed. This problem has existed for quite some time now and we don't know now what to do and I'm afraid we will have a deadly accident with this vehicle going dead while driving down the road or highway in traffic. There is no warning prior to stopping it just stops.

11 Other Fuel System Pump problem of the 2006 Chrysler 300C

Failure Date: 02/16/2014

Tl- the contact owns a 2006 Chrysler 300c. The contact stated that after refueling, the vehicle suddenly stalled. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was found that the fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was contacted about the failure. The failure mileage was not available. Mh.

12 Other Fuel System Pump problem of the 2006 Chrysler 300C

Failure Date: 12/01/2012

Vehicle stalls shortly after refueling. Stall happens mostly when coming to a stop although has also occurred at a low speed cruise (25-35 mph) and when accelerating from a stop at an intersection. Happens only after fuel tank is fully filled, being the automatic shutoff on the fuel pump. Does not seem to happen when tank is only partially filled. While the problem has not resulted in a collision yet, there is a high probability that it eventually will. This is due to the fact that stalling when leaving an intersection causes loss of some control. When the engine stalls, upon restart the transmission does not come online for a few moments. This can cause dangerous scenarios when left immobile in a busy intersection of a major metropolitan area.

13 Other Fuel System Pump problem of the 2006 Chrysler 300C

Failure Date: 09/21/2011

The car stalls at random after a fuel fill up. Eventually it will run normally, however it happens multiple times first and puts me in a dangerous position when it stalls in traffic. I have had both fuel pumps replaced lsat year and it seemed to help for a while, now the problem is back.
