After fueling on several occasions the vehicle just abruptly stalls out and it's very dangerous I notice that there is recalls on other 2006 Chrysler but mine isn't on there but I am very concerned about this as it could cause me to get in a accident.

Engine stall immediately following fuel tank fill up. Chrysler refuses x53 lifetime extended warranty. Service bulletin 14-002-14 applies to 2005-2006. I own 2008. Identical car. Identical problem. Happens every time fuel is filled.

Car stalled after filling gas tank. I was driving through an intersection and had to stop for oncoming traffic, when the car stalled and would not immediately restart, it eventually did start after several panic moments of being stuck in the intersection while the light was changing to let opposite traffic proceed. It stalled 2 more times on the way home. Both times I was slowing the car down when this occurred. I have been fearful of driving this car again since this happened. I heard there was a recall from Chrysler for lifetime replacement of gas tank due to a possible control valve shutoff float failure. My vehicle has never had the gas tank or float replaced, but it does not show up for a recall when I enter VIN. What should I do?.
The oem starter ignited a fire under the front end of my vehicle. Upon noticed, I immediately grabbed a fire extinguisher, and I put the fire out. I had my two young boys in the car at the time when it happened and I urged them to get out of the car immediately my young son has a fear from now on on getting in vehicles. There wasn’t any issuing warning lights that prompted any awareness. Initially started the car to run and get the juices flowing - seeing the car was parked. There wasn’t any movement to initiate spark.

There is a fuel smell in the car, for the first 1/4 tank of gas. The smell is really bad in the back seat. After the car is under 1/2 tank the fuel odor begins to subside. Passengers in car begin to have headaches and upset stomachs. After veiwing other Chrysler forum's - I believe this to be common with this style of car and an extreme safety issue.
Gasket around fuel pump failed allowing gas to pool on top of fuel tank under the back seat on passenger side . This resulted in a strong "gas/fuel" smell from fuel vapors colecting inside the car and the obvious risk of ignition/explosion and negative health effects of breathing said fumes . The vehicle has not been inspected yet because we are afraid to start the vehicle let alone drive it to the shop . We are making araingements to have it towed to the repair shop . We have not had any warning lights . Mechanic said it was a common problem with seal failure around fuel pump . The vehicle has 127,000 miles.
There is a fuel leak coming from the rear right side near the right rear wheel. Fuel leaks when the tank is full.
Fuel sending unit cracks which lets raw fuel pool directly under backseat.
Once fueled, the engine will consistently stall from start to cruising speed, and has even shut off while driving. There was an issue with Chrysler fuel tanks evap valve sticking open, which causes this fault, however I have not received any assistance from Chrysler or any authorized dealer.
My fuel tank is stuck in open position, it is making my car stall, sputter, and cut off. When my gas is very low car doesn't cut off and runs fine, but when I fill car up it stalls and cuts off, this is very dangerous it cuts off at red lights, stop signs, slow traffic, I've seen this is a warranty/recall problem with the faulty fuel tanks, with stuck open fuel shutoff valve. My car is running at max fuel because of this problem. It's been like this since I bought car 2 months ago. I need this fixed immediately. And all parts on my car are brand new this faulty fuel tank is the culprit.
The car will just shut off while driving or at rest. My safety and other people on the road is unsafe in the vehicle because when it shuts off in the middle of the road the steering wheel is also not working. The car has been to multiple shops with each shop guessing what could be the problem and fixing what they think may be wrong and after 2,000 dollars the car is still stalling out while being drove. No lights or diagnostic test come up with anything that could cause the problem.
Fuel leaking through gas gasket under rear passenger seat near electrical components. Gas fumes fill vehicle cabin when fuel tank is full and could be ignited by a small spark. No warnings of issue on dashboard. Extreme danger!.
Everytime I fill the gas tank the car stalls out several times and then stalls when deceleration and turning.
The fuel sending unit is poorly manufactured and cracks and leaks raw fuel directly under the back seat.
Car will shut off randomly after filling my tank up I've only had this vehicle for a few months I wasn't aware of this was going on a road trip with my kids I filled my tank up got on the highway was driving on middle lane normal driving an with out warning my cars dash lights come on an car shuts of instantly pulled over turned the key to off position an the car start right away.
Gas puddles inside under rear seat causing strong smell of gas in cabin. Replaced oring gasket however that was not the problem and did not fix the issue. Still have not confirmed where the leak is coming from. . . . It could be the plastic line, plastic nipple that the line connects too, or the plastic housing fuel transfer pump. Still unsure where it's leaking lots of gas.
The fuel tank gasket failed. When fuel car to full the gas seeps out and puddles on top of access area under rear passenger seats and fills car with gas fumes. Only seeps out when you fill car to full.
When the fuel tank is topped off the vehicle stalls 2-6 times until the excess fuel is burned off. This has happened on the road, in parking lots, intersections, etc. It causes total loss of power & power steering. Additionally, I usually have to shift to park, neutral, reverse, drive, reverse, and then drive again in order to get the transmission to lock back in forward gearing. Causing me to have to additionally pull over, or stop, when/wherever the incident occurs.
My Chrysler 2006 300 c smells of heavy oder of fuel inside occupant seating area. Upon investigation, found the fuel pump situated behind driver, under back seat, and the modulator is situated behind passenger seat. Both fuel and assembly are exposed to occupants, leaking and accumulating pools of fuel. There is no safety barrier between the fuel and occupants! this is a critical design failure for occupant safety!!! the modulator is made of plastic and exposed to caustic chemicals (fuel) which causes premature corrosive damage exposing all occupants of vehicle to multiple health risks including death!! this vehicle needs to be recalled!!! and not only fix the issue with leaking fuel, the vehicle needs a fire proof barrier between the fuel system and the occupants.
Car keeps stalling after I fill it up while driving and sometimes while in park.
When filling the gas tank to completely full, the engine will die without any warning. Does not happen when the tank is partially filled. Several times after completely filing gas tank, a couple hundred yards from gas station, car suddenly dies. Starts right up again and after driving a few more yards it dies again. It died on me about 5 times in a row. Could be deadly when pulling out into traffic.
Vehicle stalls after refueling. Used to be an annoyance, now dangerous. Driven 78000 miles like this. Heard about and have netscape recall and Chrysler lifetime guarantee to replace known problem. It includes canister, valve, gas cap etc but they and Chrysler rep say they know nothing about it even though I gave them your and their own letter to us.
Gas tank hairline crack on fuel pump and bad gaskets.
After filling the car with gasoline, I get a strong odor of gasoline in the cabin of the car. After the fuel level gets to about 7/8 full the issue goes away. After further inspection the odor seems to be strongest in the passenger side aft wheel well. Excessive fuel vapors are harmful to people and could cause explosion or fire.

After I refuel my car, it always smells like gas inside the cab. I recently looked to see where it is coming from, and found it on the passenger side back seat. The transfer pump has a puddle of gasoline on the back side of it. I did some research and found that other people who have this make and model car are also experiencing the same issue.
Every time the vehicle is filled with gas, the engine stalls out no matter where it is being driven. Hyw or street/city road.
Gasoline smell inside cabin traced to the gas pump/sending unit located below the floor mat directly beneath the rear passenger-side seat. A 1/2" deep puddle of gas forms at the rear of the unit which reappears after being soaked up.
Car continuously dies or stalls while driving. My wife has also been almost rear ended or hit multiple times due to this issue. Because the car will die while making a turn or at a stop light. The car will also cut out while driving on the freeway at 75 mph. The car will sometimes die and will not re-start leaving her stuck in traffic. I have taken the vehicle multiple times to the dealership as well as other mechanics and they keep telling me its the pcm which has been replace three times.
When fuel tank is filled beyond 3/4 of a tank the engine stalls. I've been in many scary situations where this happened. I bought a new car because I was scared to drive this one. Upon learning there was an issue I contacted my local dealer who said a new fuel tank would be ordered and I would be contacted the next week to have it installed. 2 weeks later I contacted them and was told they had to diagnose the problem. After discussing the issue the dealer assured the tank was being ordered. Hopefully the problem will be fixed with the replacement tank - it remains to be seen. Why is this not a recall? it is a safety issue when a car stalls while being driven. Age of the vehicle should not be a factor - this car only has 66,000 miles. I am the original owner.
Tl the contact owns a 2006 Chrysler 300c. On several occasions, after the vehicle was refueled, it stalled. There was no warning prior to the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. Harry blackwell Dodge Chrysler Jeep ram (1660 business 60 west, dexter, mo 63841) was contacted by phone at (866) 980-9548. The manufacturer was not notified. The approximate failure mileage was 100,000.
Car will cut off all system and stop when driving ,I fear car behind will run into me causing serous injuries and death. Car will stop in motion, city street highway it dosents matter . Car has less then 40000. M.
After filling this vehicle with fuel as you drive down the road it will just stall in traffic. It takes quite a few tries to get it running again. Up to 10 times. This is very dangerous as this will happen in intersections or turning in traffic with no warning. It happens while in motion and when it shuts off there is limited steering and brakes.
I was on the 215 freeway in heavy traffic when all of a sudden my car lost power-icoasted dangerouly to the side of the freeway, a warning light "electronic throttle control" came on. After awhile it went off. As soon as I got back on the freeway it happened again. The second time I almost got hit by several other vehicles. After awhile the warning light went off and I resumed driving. I took my car to the Chrysler dealer in temecula CA and after inspection they said it was my fault because I hit the accelerator while my foot was still on the brake or vice-versa. And so they charged me $183 to tell me that. This has never happened with any car I have driven. The dealer says its an issue with the newer 300 models. No warning anywhere in manual or car. This is a life-threating issue that must be addressed and Chrysler motors is ignoring it. Please do something about this serious issue. A recall must be made before someone is killled!.

Engine completely shut off as exiting freeway and was nearly hit by 2 cars. Managed to get home by driving streets and staying in righthand lane. Shut off twice but pulled to side of rode. It took approximately 4 seconds for ignition to engage. It is in garage and I am afraid for my life to drive it. I am 74 years old and will not give up on this because it is a danger to ones life. I went online to airpark Chrysler and texted with a nicole on February 15, 2019 and she said someone from in the service department would get back with me and no one has. Please help me with this dangerous problem.
