C. E. L came on when car was turned on and when taken to dealership I was told the esim was bad. Cost me $640. 00 to replace this module. On a car that has low mileage and isn't that old I would think that this repair is not normal. I was told had this not been repaired the the fumes would have built up and if I was rear ended then this could have caused an explosion.

The smell of gas fumes inside the car! it was bothering my throat with the a/c on!! went on-line to check if other owners had a similar complaint. Sure enough, found gas puddling underneath the rear seat behind the passenger side on the gas sending unit!!!.

2006 Chrysler 300c dies several times after refueling, which obviously disables the power steering. This will happen up to 10 times and then the car will run properly until the next refueling. This has been going on for over 18 months.
Car shuts off after filling, was just every once in a while starting 2 years ago, but now it shuts off after every fill up, and when it shuts off then there is no power steering. Will shut off as soon as I leave the gas station, and will continue every time I slow down, for approx. 10 miles. After being rear ended in traffic at a stop light, due to I started to move and the car shut off, but the person behind me didn't realize my car quit and lightly hit me. I have learned that I can no longer fill up at any gas station, I have to fill up where I know I can just drive without slowing down for about 10 miles. The car will still shudder like it isn't getting gas, but have been able to keep it from shutting off totally and trying to avoid being rear ended again. I worry what damage is being done to the rest of my car when it shudders like that though. I see that there is a lot of other 2005 300c owners having this same problem, but no recall has happened yet. Hope the recall happens before someone gets killed due to this malfunction.

Vehicle stall with every fuel fill up. This has been happening for about a year now. Scared to drive the vehicle anymore.
Engine stalls after fill up. Usually stalls 3 times at low speeds. Could be dangerous if it stalled when merging into traffic.
I am experiencing stall outs after fueling my car up. I entered the highway and the car stalled out while traffic is burling on top of me and I immediately put the vehicle in neutral and restarted the vehicle which didn't start right away and nearly created an rear end collision of my vehicle. After it started the car stalled again and started jerking before it stalled again. . This is definitely a heart stopping experience and I am unaware if Chrysler has a recall about this terrifying situation. . I've purchased this vehicle new 10/2004 and never experienced this problem until the spring of 2017 . . My vehicle now has 167,000 plus miles and I'm very concerned about this existing fuel problem which can cause a major accident which I have almost became a victim. .
My srt8 will stall shortly after filling up with fuel. At the moment of stalling, obviously the power steering and power brakes fail to work, which is very dangerous irregardless of where you are. . . .
After each fuel fill up, the car's engine dies.
Started experiencing problems last year. Car would cut off without warning, cut off while in a turn and I was almost hit by oncoming traffic. Took it to the dealer, dealer stated it was pcm. Had the control module fixed ($1000 repair) and now recently we have been experiencing an issue where the car wants to cut off at all speeds. Today, my husband drove it to the gas station and it cut off on him and then wouldn't start back up. It started up a few min after sitting but traffic was too busy so we were unable to drive it home. It is still parked at the gas station and we are hoping well be able to get it home before having to call a tow truck. Replaced spark plugs 1 1/2 weeks ago because we assumed it was misfiring (when it was wanting to cut off). We've changed the camshaft (prior to having the pcm replaced) and egr valve as well. There is no check engine light but have still attempted to get codes read. . . No codes. This seems to be an ongoing issue that Chrysler needs to take care of. I will never buy another car that Chrysler has had a hand in making. . . . . How many complaints need to take place before you realize that this will kill someone. . . But I guess you'd rather a lawsuit on your hands for a death rather then fixing all these cars the right way. #unsatisfiedbuyer took a shot at this beautiful car and am sadly disappointed 2006 300c 5. 7l hemi. Whats the point of having such a beautiful car if you can't even drive it.
Today for the 1st time since I've had my Chrysler 300c hemi 5. 7 liter v8 just randomly stopped at a red light. After taking out the key and restarting the car back up it continued to run, but as soon as we drove off at a low speed you can hear the engine shake and stumble a bit and wanting to stop. I have never encountered problems before since I got it back in 2014.
After fueling, car stalled while in motion at slow speed exiting parking lot. Stalled again a mile further when entering garage, both times while turning. Car has 19000 miles.
The contact owns a 2005 Chrysler 300c. The contact stated that while driving at 60 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle was restarted. The contact stated that the failure recurred after the vehicle was refueled. The contact mentioned that the failure recurred multiple times. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 125,000.
Vehicle cuts off while backing out of parking spots, traffic lights, and stop signs. Also while driving, the vehicle spudders like it's going to quit, and then suddenly surges at a high rate of speed. All of this is random, at different speeds, and is worse in the city when there is more stopping. No codes or lights are coming on, so a diagnostic can't be ran. My mechanic has had my vehicle for 2 weeks and can't determine the problem.
The contact owns a 2006 Chrysler 300c. While coming to a stop at slow speeds, the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle was restarted. The failure occurred multiple times after the vehicle was refueled. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. In addition, the air bag warning light illuminated. The VIN was included in NHTSA campaign number: 15v313000 (air bags). The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 135,000.
Car randomly stalls, at any speed, dash lights flash on and off, wipers turn on by them self , horn sounds by itself. Had it at the dealership for 2 months, had at sometimes 40+ codes come up on the computer. Changed multiply modules they cant figure it out.
After filling up with fuel on take off from stop light twice car died while driving away from light into traffic, then again after stopping car to restart it. Then 2 minutes later making a left turn car made a ding noice and died again!!.
Stalls after refueling. This is a serious problem and we have not been contacted by Chrysler about this know problem!.
Upon filling up the car with gas, the car stalled less than 500ft from the gas station. The car restarted and I drove 1/16th of a mile and as I was pulling out into traffic the car stalled again. The car has approximately 39300 miles on it.
Car dies after fueling. It will sputter then die, it will also die while coming to a stop. After refueling it sputters and dies at gas station but it can happen within the next couple of miles. It will die while pulling out in traffic and extremely dangerous. Reading on line this is a common problem and no one can figure it out. It also will not always go back into gear after it dies.
Vehicle stalled out at about 5 mph. Next day vehicle stalled out at 65 mph on interstate. Very dangerous situation. Repair facility could find no problem, had expensive major tuneup, but problem still exists.
What happen is that I just got the car used, had it 3 days cut the car off would not start back, I called the people who I got the car from, they came and got it, had it for three weeks, could not fix it so they send it to a dealership they had it a month and a half still didn't fix it right, they said it was fixed but was not, I picked the car up drove it home 30 minutes, got home forgot something at the store got in car would not say anything, lights and radio and still came on but car would not start, I could smell gas and they came and got the car again never mine that I had only had the car 3 days, ok they put new Cadillac converters on iti picked the car up,on my way home driving 20, car just cut off I thank god that no one hit me and it was 3 cars behind me I sat there for a minute and it started back but cut right off again, so I waited for a few more minutes, tried again, car started up and I went home cut car off, after 3 hours car was just dead would not do anything. Again call the shop, they came in picked the car up and that Aug, right now the car is in the shop, they cant seem to find out what's wrong with it, they put a lot of new parts on the car they said when they thank it is fixed they let the car run about a hour, but yet again it cuts off, something needs to be done about these cars cutting off while they are being drove, there are no recalls on these cars for that, there are many many complaints about the same thing , what is going on with Chrysler don't they know that a person can get kill driving and the car cuts off at any speed, I have my grand baby's everyday, I will never want anything to happen to them or me, all I can say is something needs to be done. Thank you.
The car stalls while coming to a stop or when sitting at a red light. In a few minutes the car will start and drive just fine until the same thing occurs again.
After filling up with gas the car will stall repeatedly for several miles. It then runs normally until the next fill up. I recently bought the car for my son who just turned 16. The first time it happened was the first time he filled up while driving alone. Needless to say he had no idea what to do. Luckily he was able to pull off the state highway he was driving on (3 lanes each direction) before it totally stopped. The power steering shut off so he had a very difficult time even turning off the main road. It now has done the same thing for the last 3 fill ups which were all at different gas stations to rule out bad gas at a particular station. This seems to be a very dangerous issue that should be addressed.
When I fill the gas to full, the engine stalls and it happened in an intersection on a yellow light. Very scarry. Has happened several times since but this needs to be fixed.
Filled the car with gas and the car died within 5 minutes of the gas station. Restarted the car and had the same thing happen two more times. This has since happened after ever fill up since. We bought this vehicle may 1st 2015. The issues with it dying started happening the very first fill up. We just figured it was a vapor lock but after reading the compliants, oviously not. This needs to be recalled as someone is going to hurt.
My wife was taking our two kids to school when the car made a horrible noise when first trying to start the car early in the morning. I had it towed to my mechanic where he found that the cylinder valve seat fell off the cylinder head and fell down into the piston causing severe damage to the valves and piston. Replacing the engine for $8000 was an option, however you are replacing it with the same type of engine that could potentially replicate the problem again. After researching this seems to be a manufactures defect of this engine for 2005-2006 Chrysler 300 c. This happened 4 months after my warranty expired.
Filled car up at gas station and stalls at low speeds, also was stuttering at speeds of up to 30 mph.
Car stalls at various speeds after gasoline fillup. Very hard to restart. Very dangerous condition. Has shut off at high speeds as well as low speed.
Filled up at costco and immediately after leaving the car stalled, restarted and stalled five more times in three miles. The stalling does create a dangerous driving situation.
This has happened four times in the last 2 months. I refuel the car. The car starts fine. Leaving the gas station I slow down before entering traffic. The engine stalls. I restart the engine fine. I pull out of the gas station and if I make a left turn, and apply the brakes after entering the turn, the car stalls. The car always restarts fine. However, the car will then stall at an idle condition, as when waiting for a light to turn green. After a few restarts, or prolonged driving, the condition goes away. However, it scares my wife silly. I just read the NHTSA action number pe13016 and I am taking this car to linwood Chrysler this Tuesday. Thank you for your assistance. I just wanted to let you know that there are others like myself, and to let you know my personal experance. By the way, when the car stalls in traffic, it is very dangerous.
After refueling my 2005 Chrysler 300c, it will stall at low speeds. I have read the report pe13-016, which covers the 2006 Chrysler model.
Vehicle stalls repeatedly after filling up. In reference to pe13016, the action refers to cars from model years 2005 and 2006. Yet, the final investigation results only include the 2006 model year? 2005 cars are also affected. This is well documented not only in complaints listed here but all over in internet forums. You know this is a problem, Chrysler knows it is a problem thus a recall of the model year 2006. Do the right thing and recall model year 2005 before someone gets killed. This is a very dangerous situation as when the vehcle dies you lose your power brakes, your power steering, and you are a sitting duck. Recall the 2005's and fix this life threatening problem.
After refueling, engine stops running at low speed or idle. Engine restarts immediately. After several miles and 4 or 5 restarts engine runs smoothly. Dangerous because of loss of acceleration, steering and braking.
