About 5 days ago, the airbag light came on that has caused my cruise control, horn, and radio volume not work. I live in a very busy and congested city. I was almost run off the road twice because I don't have a horn that works to warn people to state in there lanes.

My steering wheel tightened and made this grinding, scrapping sound turning left or right, then something popped where my airbag is and my airbag light came on and my horn will not work. You can still hear the scrapping sound while driving or backing up.

Our 2003 Chrysler 300m airbag light and dtc code p 0581 both went on approximately 3 months ago. P0581 indicates cruise control multi-function input a circuit high. The car has 38,000 miles. I spoke with a Chrysler dealer and was told the two occurrences indicated a bad 'airbag clock spring coil'. In my research I found there was a recall on Chrysler llc minivans for the same problem, also that there are many instances of this occurring in other Chrysler models. Because this seems a consistent problem with Chrysler llc vehicles, is there any investigation in progress? also, the dtc code p0420 indicating 1/1 catalytic converter is not functioning properly. Chrysler llc seems to have problems with safety and emissions.

I have a 2001 300m with 26,000 miles on it, and last week I heard a pop-and the airbag light went on. After paying for a diagnostic, I was told that the clock spring needed to be replaced. Something isn't right! is there a recall on this car?????.
