I would like a replacement ASAP.
Currently my vehicle's air bags are on a recall and I have been told that they only have a fix for the drivers side, not the passenger side. When calling Chrysler to ask what are we supposed to do about this. We were told to 1, not drive the vehicle or 2 not to let anyone sit in the passenger side. That metal shrapnel could seriously injure or kill someone if we were in an accident. Seriously!!!! we have contacted Chrysler several times asking why they are not fixing this or recalling the vehicle before serious injuries occur. The best they could do was give us a code to purchase a new vehicle at cost but guess what. There is no dealership that will take my current vehicle with a recall that can not be fixed and resale it. So pretty much I am stuck in a loan with a vehicle that could injure or kill myself, kids, husband, etc. This should be illegal for Chrysler to do!!.
Takata recall. The contact owns a 2009 Chrysler Aspen 4x4. The vehicle was included in NHTSA campaign numbers: 16v947000 (air bags) and 16v352000 (air bags). The manufacturer failed to supply the remedy parts to the dealer to receive the repair in a reasonable time frame. While driving downhill on an s curve at an unknown speed, the vehicle went over an ice patch. The front passenger side tire fractured, causing the vehicle to be unstable and crash. None of the air bags deployed. The seat belt failed to restrain the driver, which caused bruising from hitting the steering wheel. Medical attention was required. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was determined that the vehicle performed as designed. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was waiting for a response from the manufacturer to determine a solution to repair the vehicle. The failure mileage was not available. Parts distribution disconnect.

Takata recall passenger airbag. . This recall notice was published in July 2016, it has not been complied with and no solution is forthcoming in the near future. The vehicle should be purchased by Chrysler so my family is not subject to injury or death in the case of an accident. Chrysler was required to do so on certain production runs of this same vehicle because of faulty suspension parts. My vehicle experienced the same suspension problem but, for some reason, was not included in the repurchase.

"takata recall"- how long will consumers have to wait on Chrysler/Dodge/ram/Jeep to manufacturer parts so that consumers are no longer at risk for death-by-airbag, but also keep owners who want to sell their vehicles trapped with them because of the recall sitting with vehicles that continue the diminish in value???? this recall process is a joke played on the people & Chrysler continues to stall(pun definitely intended). The government needs to make them act now & penalize them further by making Chrysler pay consumers for devaluation of vehicles!!.
