Chrysler Aspen owners have reported 2 problems related to side/window air bag (under the air bag category). The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Takata recall: it took over 2 years for my local (only dealer within 100 miles) to repair passenger side airbag recall (repaired 8/19/16). The driver airbag remains defective. I was told by dealer 8/19/16 they had no idea of how long it would take, that they could not put me on a waiting list, that I would have to wait for a follow up recall notice. In the interim I drive this deadly vehicle every day. The recall has been in effect far too long to not have the parts available. I suspect because I have an older vehicle, just like old people who need medical care under obama care, we are being put on the bottom of the list, hoping we either die or our cars are crashed, sold or otherwise disposed of by scrapping the older vehicles. This is ridiculous.

Chrysler 2007 Aspen with hemi engine. Water intrusion causing the airbags to get wet. Due to a problem with the design of the vehicle, water does not drain properly and is soaking the side airbag panel and also the electrical panel in the truck causing the control warning panel to completely light up. This is causing the side airbags to be compromised and possibly the passenger front airbag. The drainage problem was brought to Chrysler's attention numerous times and they did not find a corrective solution.
