Takata recall I received notification of the recall for the driver airbag inflator on July 1, 2016 and both the dealer and the manufacturer have failed to replace the part in question in a timely manner given the serious safety issue associated with the airbag. I have not had a deployment in the vehicle and do not anticipate a deployment, however, I will be selling the car in the near term and need to have this issue resolved.

Takata recall-the front passenger airbag inflator housing may rupture while deploying during a crash. The potential for such ruptures may occur in some of the subject airbag inflators after several years of exposure to persistent conditions of high absolute humidity and/or heat aging. In the event of a front passenger airbag inflator rupture, metal fragment(s) could pass through the airbag cushion material, which may result in additional injury or death to vehicle occupants. Why is there not a fix for this and if there isn't one why is the vehicle not being recalled and those of us who have it being compensated appropriately to get a new vehicle! maybe contacting a lawyer would help. If someone I love is injured or killed because of this there will be a lawsuit!.
Safety recall, driver airbag inflator housing may rapture, due to excessive internal prerssure, during normal airbag deployment events. Chrysler dealer refuses to provide a loner or rental vechile.

Takata recall. 4 months and I am still waiting for a "part order" from the king auto Chrysler dealer in lihue kauai, hi to repair the driver airbag inflator. Frankly when I called to remind them that I was still waiting, it seemed like they had dropped the ball on their part and said maybe next month.
Received recall on driver airbag inflator, the parts are not available ,is it safe to drive and risk a potential deployment of defective airbags that can result in death or serious health risk. The intention to repair by manufacturer is good faith but what is safety without the correction of the defective airbags. . Is there an alternative, perhaps a loaner car from the dealership until the parts can be replaced.
Takata inflators can not get the dealer to do the repairs have been trying for almost a year.
