The contact owns a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact stated that while driving at 35 mph, the vehicle shuddered and lost motive power. The contact was able to coast to the side of the road. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the crank shaft position sensor needed to be replaced, and the engine control software needed to be updated. The vehicle was not repaired. Upon investigation, the contact discovered NHTSA campaign number: 18v049000 (electrical system, engine and engine cooling); and linked the failure to the recall; however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 128,700.

2 Engine Cooling System problem

Failure Date: 12/06/2024

The contact owns a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle lost automotive power and failed to accelerate above 5 mph. During the failure, several unknown warning lights were illuminated. After turning off and restarting the vehicle, the failure self-corrected and the vehicle operated normally. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. 3 Engine Cooling System problem

Failure Date: 07/11/2019

Tl- the contact owns a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 18v-049000(electrical system, engine and engine cooling), 18v-395000(electrical system, equipment), 18v-332000(electrical system, vehicle speed control) however, the parts to do the repair were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair as the recall notice was received over a year ago. The dealer ray brandt Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram fiat 1660 westbank expy, harvey, la 70058 (504) 334-8908 was contacted and confirmed that the parts were not available for the recall remedy the vehicle was taken in for a diagnosed test to be performed and determined that the batteries failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure recurred. The manufacturer was contacted several times and was unable to confirm when the parts were to become available. The contact had experienced a failure while driving at various speeds with the engine, brake warning light illuminated. The vehicle would loss power once the contact released her foot of the brake pedal. The contact would have to turn the vehicle off and back on in order for the vehicle to resume back to normal. The vehicle was seen at a independent mechanic who ran a 2nd diagnosed test but found no failure. The VIN tool confirms parts not available. The failure mileage was approximately 53,000. Ck.

4 Engine Cooling System problem
