While driving our 2018 Chrysler Pacifica on I-95 south in nh, traffic came to an abrupt stop and we rear-ended a Jeep wrangler at approximately 30-40 mph. I braked for about 20 ft and struck the Jeep. Our airbags deployed and the engine compartment immediately burst into flames upon impact. The flames were so immediate and so violent that my wife and I only had time to remove our young daughters from the middle row of the vehicle. The accident itself was minor, the Jeep was able to drive away after the accident. Our Pacifica was a complete loss as a result of the fire.

The first incident occurred when I was in a parking lot. I got into my car and when I went to press the brake and push to start, my brake was locked and my computer started flashing service electronic stability control, park brake unavailable, enter auto-theft code and other numerous error messages. I had to have my car towed to the closest service and they didn't find anything wrong. Yesterday I was in traffic at a stop light and my car dinged, the check engine light came on, and my car said to put it in park and restart (this happened twice at the same light) then the error messages starting flashing (service air bag, service electronic stability control, blind spot alert unavailable, etc) today when I went to start my car the engine did not come on and the same error messages starting flashing as well as the check engine. This became an entirely new concern when this started happening while I'm driving. I have two small children in the car, and I'm pregnant. I just don't feel safe driving and this is our main vehicle, so we don't have much of a choice.
On Wednesday night (13 July 16), se michigan had severe thunderstorms and street flooding. I drove through this for at least 6 miles. The next morning as I was leaving for work, I got into the car, buckled my seat belt and put the car into reverse. There was a loud "crunching" noise but no movement. I put the car in park, got out to see if there was anything behind the car to make that noise but there wasn't. I got back in the car, buckled up, put the car's gear into reverse again. No movement, but an incredibly loud screechy, whiny noise could be heard 4 townhouses away. I barely tapped the accelerator and the car shot backwards out of the space, across the lot, up over a curb, through a flower bed, taking out a large, wooden sign and stopping only when the vehicle crashed into a tree. No air bags deployed at all. Police and emts were called to the scene. I was transferred by ambulance to a local hospital. I am not familiar with the vehicle's systems, but I would think this was a throttle issue. For the few seconds the car was moving in reverse, I was stomping on the brake pedal. The brakes were "stiff" and the pedal would only go half way to the floorboards. Witnesses stated the car shot out of the parking space "like a bullet" and/or "like a rocket" and that there was no way to stop the car at that speed.

Front passenger airbag deployed during frontal impact with another vehicle. The front seat belted passenger was permanently blinded by the air bag. The airbag struck the rear view mirror on the windshield and broke it from the mount causing half the mirror to impact front seated passenger's face. Passenger totally blind as a result.

Letter from senator garrett on behalf of constituent re 2004 Chrysler Pacifica airbag. The consumer stated the air bag panel opened and the air bag could be seen. The dealer informed the consumer, there was no issue with the air bag itself.
2007 Chrysler Pacifica. Consumer writes in regards to vehicle stalling while driving. The consumer stated the vehicle was at the dealer for a month, with no remedy in sight. The clockspring was replaced. However, the vehicle continued to stalled. The dealer stated the clockspring was replaced, because there was a light on the dashboard.
The traction control and esp lights have been on for months, dealer states that the problem is the clockspring, but part is not available. So currently the esp and traction control, both of which are safety features are not functioning and I can not repair cause part is not readily available, I feel there should be a recall to cover this safety concern.
Vehicle was broadsided (aka t-boned) by another car that ran a stop sign while I was crossing an intersection. Windows shattered and the drivers side of the vehicle (including front and rear drivers side door) were completely caved in and door had to be snapped by two firefighters in order to extricate the driver and at no point during impact did side impact airbags deploy causing further damage and a mild concussion from impact with drivers side door post.
The horn for the car will sound indiscriminately. It will sound at any speed, any time of day, and even when the vehicle isn't running or has a key in the ignition. When the horn sounds, other drivers get distracted or confused by the sound. Driving with the horn on is also very distracting. I am uncertain if pulling the fuse for the horn will affect the airbag operation.
The clock spring in the steering column failed causing the airbag and horn not to work. Clock spring is no longer manufactured or found in Chryslers inventory. The part was never produced by an after market company. Dealer has tried to find it in junk yards with no luck after 3. 5 months. Chrysler is relatively silent on helping to correct or replace the vehicle. Vehicle is owned by a consumer with multiple sclerosis and without the vehicle has lost her independence.

Driving in a parkig lot, electrical system just shut down. This is a recurring problem, same as on other Chrysler vehicles, however Chrysler refuses to issue a recall for this vehicle. There have been other chronic problems with this make of vehicle, but Chrysler refuses to address them with recalls. They just continue to ignore them, hoping the vehicle owner's will simply walk away from the vehicle. They have tried to get me to trade the vehicle in , numerous times.
When I bought it I drove it 20 feet to gas station. The gas tank said I had half a tank of gas. Once I was done I turned the car back on and it said I had no gas! I called the guy who sold it to me and he said it just takes time for it to regrister that I filled it up so I drove it back to him to show him what I was talking about when he got there it said I had half a tank and he told me to drive it home I would be fine! well on the way home it said I had 20 mile till empty but the last thing it showed on gas tank was that I still was at half take so I filled it up agin. I took the car to my brothers which is 35 miles from fargo to have him see if he could fix the pumps but he couldn't so I got back on interstate goin 75 mph to go home and the gas light flickered and the car went from 75 to 0 in like 2 seconds. Resulting in myself bashing my head on steering wheel and no air bags went off either! my husband came to get me and brought gas cans to get me enough gas to make it to a gas station! it took us 58 min exactly to fill the tank completely full so I could make it back home. So the next day I called back and they eventually had me take it to lundes in fargo to fix the gas tank which took 1 month almost 2, so when I got it back multiple times in between that time it was still happening! finally they fix it except the fact that a year later it's happening all over agin! which was 5 days ago on my way to jamestown with my children in the car! I have called many of places and nobody knows how to fix it. If I go back to lundes they said they had no idea why it would happen agin! and how long it would take them to figure it out! it would have happened earlier if I actually drove the car more but ever since the accident when I drive that car I can't stop checking how full the tank is! something needs to be done before someone gets into a serious accident with that car!.
Traveling at 35 - 40 mph and cars came to a stop and no matter how hard I pushed the brakes, the car would not stop. Steering wheel and under steering wheel airbags deployed, burning my shin. Upon starting the car at the body shop, the dashboard caught on fire due to the airbag modular. Fire destroyed my vehicle.
The 2008 Chrysler Pacifica simply stalls while in motion. All electrical systems, including airbags, are dead. This has happened at highway speeds, while stopped, and while accelerating. It has happened during very cold temperatures (below 0), high temperatures (above 90) and other temperatures in between. There does not seem to be any rhyme or reason as to why it happens, as when the car is pulled over and ignition turned to the off position, it can typically be restarted - though it appears that it takes multiple attempts to get that to work as the issue is getting worse instead of better. This is an issue that is not just isolated to the 2008 Pacifica, but transcends models and years. If one searches Chrysler Pacifica stalling, one will find numerous other identical complaints and can quite easily discover that it covers other years and models. It is equally as unsafe as the gm recall. I have called chrylser personally and inquired out the issue only to be dismissed. In fact, their exact claim to me is that they were unaware that there was a problem despite me pointing out the numerous complaints I could discover in seconds. I believe that chrylser group is keenly aware of the problem and is simply hoping that it will go away due to the high cost of a recall. Others have payed significant amounts to dealers to have items changed only to find that the issue is not resolved. In any case, this is a safety issue that needs to rectified immediately before someone (or a family in my case) gets injured or dies. Please help me to keep my family safe when driving this car.
While stopped at intersection a vehicle traveling at 40 to 60 mph tried to turn the corner and struck our vehicle in the left front corner. The collision totaled the vehicle making the turn. At this time the insurance CO. Hasn't decided whether to total ours or not. This vehicle is equipped with front air bags, under dash leg air bags and full side curtain air bags. None of the air bags deployed. I would have thought that with the direction of the impact that all air bags would have deployed, instead of none.
The airbags (driver or passenger) did not deploy in the automobile accident.
Tl- the contact owns a 2007 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact stated the vehicle was in an accident and none of the air bags deployed. The contact passed out and the vehicle went down the side of the road and the vehicle did not stop until it hit a tree. The police had to cut the contact from the vehicle. The vehicle was towed and waiting to be inspected. The contact feels the vehicle was destroyed. The failure mileage and current mileages were 92,000. Rl.
1. Accident where my car was severely rear ended on interstate. The other car (Honda prelude) hit the left rear of my car (Chrysler Pacifica) after I came to a complete stop. 2. No air bag was deployed. No restrain by safety belts for driver and passenger. Driver hit steering wheel with face; passemger hit something and suffered a concussion.
The abs light keeps coming on in my 2005 Pacifica so I thought something was wrong with the breaks so I got the front brakes repaired and the problem stopped for about 3 days, then it started again so I got the back brakes done and the same results, so finally I took it back to the car lot that I purchased it from and they cleared the code but the next day the same result. The brake pedal would go all the way down and it seem like when I hit the pedal that the vehicle doesn't want to stop. This is an on going problem that needs to be dealt with. I called a Chrysler dealership and they don't have any recall on the brake pedal. Something needs to be done before a life is lost because of a faulty brake pedal .

The contact owns a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica. While driving 35 mph in a rain storm, the contact attempted to avoid crashing into a tree branch that suddenly flew across the roadway. The vehicle began to swerve back and forth excessively and the contact was unable to maintain control of the vehicle. The contact crashed into a guard rail. None of the seven air bags deployed. The vehicle was destroyed and towed to an inbound lot. The contact was transported to the hospital with injuries to his back, head and nose. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage and current mileage was 74,470.
I was t-boned by a vehicle that ran a red light and none of my air bags including side impact ones deployed. The crash totaled my car and I suffered a broken hand, neck and back injuries.
