Many other drivers complaining about same issue: 1. Driving at low speed (10mph or less) transmission does a hard shift as if it was trying to engage 2nd or 3rd shift. Car does a huge bump when the shift is engaged. 2. At high speed (65mph ~) is possible to hear a rattling noise coming from left side panel / drivers side. This is very concerning for us. Already have dealer check the vehicle but they always say they could not reproduce the issue. This is happening since the very first recall for this car. Before the first recall, no issue.

We bought the car new and there has been an on going random problem car that feels like a hard jolt, like being hit from behind, a loud clunk noise and hesitation when it is shifting gears. It started shortly after 10,000 miles and still continues at 50,000 miles. It happens the majority of the time at 15mph but has happened at 35 mph also. We have had to be checked by the dealership several times and they can not duplicate the problem on demand. They have updated software and replaced a module but it still occurs. This is a safety issue as we have no idea when this will happen and could easily cause an accident. The last time it happened five times within a two hour time period. We drove straight to the dealer and they kept the car eight days and were never able to duplicate the problem so we were told there is nothing wrong with the car. It is just not true. Chrysler cares said since there is nothing to fix they cannot help us. We have no choice but to get rid of the car for the safety of our family.
Tl the contact owns a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica. While driving various speeds and shifting gears manually, an abnormal noise was heard coming from the vehicle. In addition, the gear shifter was not shifting appropriately. The vehicle was taken to brown's Jeep Chrysler Dodge ram (483 NY-112, patchogue, NY 11772, (631) 289-8500), but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 24,000.
My van has had this issue since around 29,000 miles and I am currently around 53,000. I have been to the dealership over 15 times and still have no solution because the problem doesn't show on a computer, nor does it happen when a service tech is with me. When the van is shifting between 1st and 2nd there is a jolt like being hit from behind and a noise. I have this on video 3 separate times and the service advisor tells me that it is normal for a 9 speed transmission to do this. There is no way this is normal, others have been with me and have thought I have slammed on brakes because the jolt is so strong. This happens in parking lots, turns and from a complete stop to start. It always happens at 14-15 mph and is extremely scary at times and there is no solution from anyone.
Currently have 53,078 miles on this van. It is serviced regularly by the same dealership we bought it from. Today as I was picking up my kids from school( speed limit is 15 mph) van suddenly lost power, it made beeping noise, and dash said to shift to park. I shifted to park and shut it down then restarted. It is driving normal again but I'm still taking it into dealership because ever since it had a software update last year, I have had issues with transmission slipping as I drive on highway. It slows down by itself and jerks van roughly as it automatically shifts to next gear. Also the trunk stopped making beeping sound when it opens.
Transmission shifting issues. After coming to a complete stop, I accelerated and at 36 mph the transmission acted like it dropped out and back into gear making a noise. This continued issue has caused an erosion in our trust in the van to safely provide transportation for our family.
Tl the contact owns a 2007 Chrysler Pacifica. While driving 70 mph, the vehicle downshifted and failed to accelerate. The contact also heard an abnormal rattling noise. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The local dealer and manufacturer were not contacted. The failure mileage was 161,000. The VIN was not available.

Vehicle purchased in December 2016 for $44,000 from safford of fredericksburg. On October 14, 2017, I was driving with my wife, three children and mother-in-law and experienced a loud malfunction that rendered the car inoperable. Luckily we were not on the highway at the time and the vehicle was eventually towed to safford of fredericksburg, virginia for repairs. The right front axel had ruptured (total miles on the car were 8,311 at that time). The service agent (jim bogan) noted that this had been flagged on other occasions as identified issues at other service department requiring the next "generation" of axel assembly parts for the repair. Shortly after receiving the vehicle, we returned to the same dealership to address a loud girding noise also associated with the right front axel. In early December, 2017 we had the vehicle towed once again to safford of fredericksburg where they again had to repair the right from axel. Intermittently and over the past year while these issues were occurring, we continued to experience electronic issues with the sliding doors and rear lift hatch as well. The uconnect entertainment system will also malfunction from time to time. Several software updates have been initiated, addressing window and transmission concerns according to the dealership's service department. Yet, the vehicle does not function properly, where idle and transmission functioning often appears compromised (rough idle, rough shifting, sudden rpm increases and acceleration bursts when shifting from reverse to drive). I fear this car is not safe for my wife and three young children.
Aug 2017 purchased at 14k miles, then rattle noise on start up, then rattle noise upon pressing the gas pedal while accelerating or DE accelerating, now downshifting hard, shifting hard to the point it gets stuck for a second, people have almost rear ended me, I have almost rear ended people pressing gas to get it to go and it sticking then suddenly speeding up.
