Cooling Fan Problems of Chrysler Sebring

My 2008 Chrysler Sebring has been in the shop since November 9, 2019. Defective tipm. The starter has caught fire 3 times. Vehicle stalls out and leaves you in the middle of the road. Battery has been replaced. Ignition switch is getting hot when keys are in and the key gets stuck in ignition. Tipm was replaced. Car is still not running due to dealership not knowing what new parts to try. Have also had several problems with cooling systems/fan not working properly.

I just want you aware that I tried to complete safety recall g39-radiator fan for my new Chrysler Sebring. The dealer is having difficulty obtaining the part. I was told they are "limited" in the number of parts they can order, per week. Nothing was resolved in completing this recall.

Engine failure. While driving west on hillsborough avenue in tampa, FL, the engine suddenly cut out. This is a 55 mph road -- in some parts 60. Husband was able to steer us off the road into a target parking lot. The car is still at the shop while we wrestle with the warranty company over them replacing a sludged engine. Had problems with timing belt screaming if the outside temperature is over 65 degrees for over a year. Had this replaced on first incident -- still screams. Since having it replaced the fan now only works on "high".

I purchased a Chrysler Sebring new around March of 2007. I have taken this car back 3 times now for what has been called a motor fan they have replaced it 2 times and are now saying they can't find anything wrong. The car is making the same irritating noise it made the first 2 times they replaced this fan. It is almost a humming sound with vibration I say it sounds like I am driving a diesel and its a car.

2007 Chrysler Sebring sedan customer states that the car started smoking and was taken to the dealership and the car caught on fire in front of the dealership* the consumer the tires and the cruise control switch were replaced. The brakes were not grabbing and the pedal would go to the floor. The cd player would not eject the cd's. The cooling fan caught on fire.

Creatures are able to get into the heater blower fan and to contaminate it. When this occurs heater blower becomes inoperative. Dealership or manufacturer is unable to provide a solution for the problem.
