My seat belts come unlatched Chrysler says its not there problem. My car only has 50000 miles on it. I am a single mother with two children who ride in those seat belts. Does some body have do die before they will fix this? they know there is some thing wrong with them because they want $160 to fix it. And I have a dealer warranty.
The driver's side seatbelt is defective. Several times, including recently, the seatbelt shoulder harness locks-up preventing it from being worn. The seatbelt housing is contained in the seat and is not anchored to the car. The seatbelt seems to catch and won't provide any slack. The seatbelt, while in the resting position appears to recoil improperly. The problem of the seatbelt jamming/locking has occurred several times since I have owned the car. Usually I can unlock the belt by repeatedly pulling the minimal available slack until the belt loosens. This most recent incident has proven impossible to unlock the belt. I will notify the dealership on 6/16/00. This safety defect is very hazardous to drivers and may prove to be fatal if an accident occurs. I hope I'm the only individual experiencing this safety defect and if not I would hope that Chrysler would take immediate action. Thank you. Mike fisher.
My seat belts lock up on me while I'm driving the car. The is no specific speed or road surface that causes this. They will lock and not release until I open the door. Each and every time I drive the car this will happen at some point in my drive. The dealership has tried many things - even replacing the seat belts. This is a safety issue because the seat belt locks me against the seat and I cannot lean forward. Many times a driver needs to learn forward to look for oncoming traffic. I've called Chrysler several times and they have never heard of this problem before. Can you help me? thank you for your time.
The seat belt male part does not always stay attached when inserted into female end. There have been numereous occasions when the seat belt just popped out while I was driving. Last August while driving to florida the drivers side seat belt popped out and I could not get it to work for a whole day. I complained to the dealership in colorado springs (lithia colorado springs Jeep Chrysler Plymouth, 719-475-1155) took my vehicle in. They could not get it to act up so they said they could not do anything. I complained to the manager, called the CO attorney general, Chrysler home office and no one would help, said they would do nothing. I'm still having problems with my seat belt attaching properly. The dealer I listed, is who we purchased the car from. The dealer who has done all the repairs and checking is in colorado springs, @ 1250 s nevada Ave. (719)475-1155. I would appreciate your help in this matter. Thank you, sincerely, debra rose.
