Paint Problems of Chrysler Sebring

Faulty or no hem flange sealer in the paint shop was used to prevent water seeping under paint on two places of the front hood and once place on the left rear fender. This has caused the paint to bubble in all three locations, allowed water to gather in all three places and is causing rust damage to my vehicle, not to mention the ugly appearance of bubbled paint and potential for continued rust damage! this is an expensive repair that should never have happened and I'm sure other vehicles made at the same time experience similar issues.

The paint all over my car is fading and cracked and it is only 6 years old. I have saw other cars exactly like mine that have the same problem. I have not done anything to cause the paint to do this and I believe there is something wrong with top coat the manufacture put on.

Since approximately 2004, the paint began wearing off (not peeling) the roof of my 2002 Chrysler Sebring. I went to the dealership where I purchased it. They said Chrysler had a problem with the clear coat that year, and at this point nothing could be done about it. The spot remained the same in size, but continued to wear down to the metal. I assumed I would have to have the spot repainted. This winter, approximately 3/4 of the roof down to and including part of the trunk and rear fenders are experiencing the same wearing away of paint that the roof has. At this point, about 2/3 of my car needs to be repainted. I never received a recall notice for this problem. However, I found enumerable complaints on the internet for black Chrysler Sebring coupes just like mine with the exact same problem. I want my car repainted by Chrysler. I feel that the dealership minimized this problem and refused to make it right when I brought it to their attention. The paint on the roof of my car is worn down to the bare metal.

This complaint is regarding the paint and clear coat use on the 2001 Chrysler Sebring. The car was purchased brand new from a Chrysler dealer. About 3 yrs after the car was purchased the clear coat and paint started to chip away,this has been getting progressively worse over the past few years. The result is that the trunk, roof and hood of this vehicle have no clear coat, and it is now starting to chip away on the doors and quarter panels. This problem has been brought to the attention of the Chrysler dealership numerous times, they keep referring us to the corporate office. We have contacted the corporate office a few times, they say they will get back to us, and they never do. Routine vehicle maintenance was done on this vehicle. What else can we do?.

I have several issues/defects it started @ 8/29/00 both door moldings fell off they had to replace door cladding, started before 7/9/02 but took car in on that date because paint delaminated and was peeling covered 100% by dailmer Chrysler and still as of 6/9/04 I am still fighting with daimler Chrysler to repaint the vehicle, the whole paint job/clear coat is coming off the car. But now they only will cover 50% and only the areas affected therefore, I will continue to have this problem until the car is completely repainted because logically the whole car was painted with the same paint and little by little the paint is delaminating in several areas and will continue unitl the car is entirely repainted. 2 recalls- recall #967 lower ball joints and recall #884 molding trim clips, brakes squealing, brakes replaced twice 08/24/02 & 05/04/04 and rotors resurfaced, tires replaced 3 times, the passenger handle broke and can't enter the car from passenger have to open door from inside. The drivers side inside molding where the door and window buttons are came off and the plastic air vents broke, I am in the process to get the inside moldings, air vents and passenger handle estimates to get it fixed and mailing . Daimler/Chrysler my issues especially the paint defects.
