I have a 2008 Chrysler Sebring sedan. The radiator is leaking fluid that splashes all over the wires causing a burning smell. I later found out that this is caused by an electrical issue with the sensors. Similarly my tire pressure sensors are fried. These issues have eroded wires causing my a/c and cruise control systems to malfunction. My power windows have issues sometimes I can't get them to roll up or down. My internal lights in my car flickering on and off. The mess from the radiator is also causing my engine to overheat. I am now having issues with oil pan leaks as a result of too much pressure from the engine. I see that only certain vins were added to the recall list. I strongly suggest that NHTSA add other vins to the recall list, especially mine, since I'm having those exact same issues. I see that there are complaints about this year make and model as recent as last year. Why hasn't the recall list been updated? please update the recall list. Please and thank you!!.
The contact owns a 2007 Chrysler 200. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the transmission failed to shift out of 1st gear. In addition, the contact lives in a hot climate, and the a/c was not functioning as needed. The contact stated that the hatchback occasionally failed to open unless force was used. The vehicle was taken to a local independent mechanic where it was scanned with an obd2 scanner and dtc codes: p23, 06033, 2100707, and 0803806 were retrieved. The vehicle was repaired but the failure reoccurred. The local dealer was contacted, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. Unknown put car into park and went into store came out and could not get car to shift out of park.
While driving approximately 25 mph I crossed over railroad tracks in the road. There is only a very small bump going over these. The front drivers side wheel came off. The lower ball joint pulled out and pulled the front axle out. The vehicle only has 91,000 miles on it. There was no warning that this was going to happen. I was driving in normal traffic. And was unable to move the vehicle out of the traffic lane. Vehicle had to be towed. This happened yesterday 7/10/21. I have seen other reports of problems with this but vehicles have higher mileage than mine. Is there not a recall for this?.

Transmission does not shift from 3rd to 4th gear. Supposely dealership drove it over 25 miles never had the problem. I pick it up and drove it less then 5 miles and it does not shift.
Horn stared going off on its own, while driving or just sitting, then the transmission started lagging, rpms drop while I'm driving and am unable to get back up to speed for a minute. I drive on the interstate daily for work and both of these are a huge hazard for me and other drivers. I assume the problems are related being as they both went crazy at the same time. While driving on the interstate to work my car just sort of died without dieing the rpms dropped and the car tried to die but diidnt. The gas ped stopped working while this was occuring and I was unable to get back up to speed. It eventually kicked out of it but did it again the following week, driving out of my parking lot at work rpms dropped and was unable to use my gas ped. I gotit again to get out of it but all its going to take is this happening and a car behind me and and accident will happen.

Bought battery and somethg is still draining and it keeps hsppening.
About 2 years ago my tpms sensor on my driver side stop working, not even a month later my car started stalling. I would be at a light, stop sign, or pulling out into traffic and it would just stall. So I had the alternator replaced at not even 70,000 miles which solved the stalling issue. Then about a year and a half ago I noticed when I was on the interstate driving to tampa from orlando and I put the cruise control on and my car started slowing down on i4 and almost got me hit by a semi truck but he was thankfully able to swerve into the lane beside me. I called Chrysler and told them the issue and they said well there is a recall on the tpms but your VIN number doesn't match and turned me away. Then a few weeks later I started having problems with my passenger side door not locking and the window going up before the door was shut, and would have to mess with it to get the door to actually shut. Then about 8 months ago my rpms where jumping erectly and my dad who is a mechanic cleaned all the carbon out in my motor and I was still having the same problem. Then today my car shift would not shift out of park and my dads friend noticed the cable in the motor was popped out and popped it back in. So I drive to class and when I get on campus and go to park my car my var gets stuck in reverse and I had to sit in there for over an hour with my foot on the break before someone was able to help me. This car needs a serious investigation and Chrysler refuses to help me when I have less than 95,000 miles on the car and my issues match there recall perfectly. These issues could lead me or someone else to get killed or seriously hurt, but I guess they wont due anything until enough people get killed or injured to realize theres a major problem with this vehicle.
Etc light comes on and vehicle will not accelerate it happens when I start the vehicle when I drive it happens constantly I took vehicle to Chrysler dealership and was told it wa the throttle body paid 800 dollars still have the etc and same issue happening. This is a libility and accident waiting to happen it is unsafe to drive a vehicle and have it lose acceleration why driving up hill or highway.

The contact owns a 2009 Chrysler Sebring. The contact stated that the vehicle experienced a complete loss of power. Upon inspection, the contact stated that the battery failed. The dealer diagnosed that the power train control module malfunctioned, which caused the battery to drain excessively. The battery needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the battery was replaced four times. The vehicle could not be repaired due to the part being on national backorder. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was approximately 52,000.
The electronic throttle light comes on and the rpm decreases then engine stalls. Several times I was able to restart engine and it has now completely failed. I see numerous reports of this issue online but no specific repair for this defect.
The contact owns a 2008 Chrysler Sebring. While driving 80 mph, another vehicle driving at a high rate of speed sideswiped the contact's vehicle. The impact caused the contact's vehicle to spin around in the opposite direction, facing two semi-trucks. The contact's vehicle stalled without warning. The contact made numerous attempts to restart the vehicle, but the gears were extremely difficult to shift and the vehicle suddenly reversed down a ravine. The air bags did not deploy. The vehicle was towed to a repair shop and was inspected by the insurance company. A police report was filed. The contact sustained head, neck, back, and knee injuries that required medical treatment. The vehicle was taken to the dealer more than three times, but they could not repair the failure. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was not available.
This car has a faulty totally integrated power module (tipm). This caused several problems including: the car stalling suddenly while driving at about 50 mph on a straight road, the horn going off intermittently and uncontrollably both while the vehicle was stationary and while it was moving, and a check engine light that would not clear. I replaced the faulty tipm at my own expense and it resolved all these problems. Chrysler has issued recalls for tipms, but they have never recalled the 2008 Sebring. I have the original, faulty tipm out of the Chrysler that I can send for testing and verification.
My car's electronic throttle control light comes on when I am in motion. The etc turns off when the car is cut off and restarted. I feel unsafe driving the expressway being that I drive for a living.
Tl- the contact owns a 2008 Chrysler Sebring. The contact stated that while driving about 50 mph,the tire and battery lights illuminated and the vehicle shut down when the contact reached his destination. The vehicle was towed to the dealer who diagnosed that the alternator shut the battery down. The dealer also stated that the computer system needed to be checked. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 88,000. Fe.
The contact owns a 2008 Chrysler Sebring. While driving approximately 40 mph, the vehicle independently decelerated and the electronic throttle control warning light illuminated. When the accelerator pedal was depressed, the vehicle failed to accelerate over 25 mph. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 96,291.
Car will stall at any speed. Will restart after about 15 tries. Happens after filling tank. 1st thought it was bad gas. But tried different stations. Same problem. Sporadic. Often happens when I shut off car and then attempt to start it again a few minutes later. Doesn't seem to be a problem when the car is cold. Very dangerous situation on high speed roadways.
Takata recall my etc light flashes and you cant accelerate the only way to get it to go off is turn car off then back on . I've put new throttle body and ecm on it but still have the problem. Help if you have any advice.
The contact owns a 2002 Chrysler Sebring. While driving 40 mph, the driver side tie rod fractured and the contact lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic. The tie rod was replaced. While driving approximately 10 mph, the vehicle hesitated to accelerate. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where the screen on the transmission was replaced. The failure recurred, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 133,000.
Vehicle shifts hard from drive to any gear, does not matter if it is taking off or stopping while hot or cold, while on highway at 50+ van will have a few seconds delay with accelerating to a higher speed, while on cruise control at 65 miles per hour when going up hill cruise will kick in and push the speed to 70+ from 60 mph,.
I got the car on Jan 1,14. . Since I had this I have problems. In July 14 I was driving to work and the fuel pump went on the car. . And its reading gas leak as of now . Also the car accelerates by its self I would be driving doing 60 mph and it will a accelerates and it scares me to drive this car some times. Also the seat belts were put in the wrong way. The horn works once in awhile. . This car has given me so many problems since I had it.
