1 Radiator problem of the 2008 Chrysler Sebring

Failure Date: 01/01/2017

I was driving and my vehicle started over heating and then wouldn't run. I have put w gone coolant in it several time. The radiator hose top part is completely busted. Needing a new head gasket, and whole top radiator hose now. On top of that the power steering hose is messed up also. My car window also doesn't work. It's stuck rolled down because of an electrical problem. I want it all fixed ASAP. I can't afford the fix. I am a single pregnant mother who has several appointments to get to and from between my daughter and I. Just going to the store for food has almost been impossible. We have to rely on others to help us. I need my car out the shop. Please help.

4 Radiator problem of the 2004 Chrysler Sebring

Failure Date: 06/23/2010

My car has cut off on me 4 times in the past 2 months. It seems to happen every 2-3 weeks, when I come to a full stop. Also, when my foot is on the brake, the car will vibrate violently and then lunge forward by a foot or so. I have almost hit cars in front of me because of this. This has happened 4 times as well. I've gotten my catalytic converter checked- no problem, I've gotten radiator and transmission checked- all fine. I've had an a/c flush, transmission flush, and air induction/. Fuel system cleaned out. Everyone says that the car is fine, and I've had half a dozen mechanics check everything out. No one can find a problem. And a new thing happened, just the other day, when I had started my car up for the first time in the day, the car didn't want to shift above 30 miles. The rpms were really high, but I was at 30 mph. The mechanics can't find anything wrong with it at all. I saw a posting on another website where someone had the same problems, but no one could find the problem. June 23rd is the first day that these things started happening.

5 Radiator problem of the 2004 Chrysler Sebring

Failure Date: 06/13/2009

2004 Chrysler Sebring convertible with 2. 7l, 6 cyl engine. Engine shut down while driving on highway in michigan; when I opened the hood, the radiator was steaming/boiling. No warning, no "check engine" lights, no oil pressure or temperature warnings. Had car towed to michigan dealer, they couldn't get the engine to move; said I needed engine replacement. Chrysler wouldn't honor any warranties because car was just over 70k miles (warranty to 70k). Also, dealer I towed the car to had just lost their Chrysler franchise 3 days earlier as did the dealer I had purchased the car from; Chrysler said they wouldn't even talk to these dealers anymore about the car, I was on my own. I found numerous websites showing complaints about this engine that were exactly like mine. There's been a class action lawsuit filed in NJ regarding this engine failure but I haven't found one that I can participate in yet. I surrendered the car to Chrysler as I wasn't ready to pay over $8000 for a new engine (more than the car was worth).

6 Radiator problem of the 2001 Chrysler Sebring

Failure Date: 05/14/2009

The contact owns a 2001 Chrysler Sebring convertible. While driving 75 mph on the freeway, the engine shut off and the vehicle lost all power. The contact pulled the vehicle over and had it towed to an independent mechanic. After inspecting the vehicle, the mechanic noticed sludge build-up. He also observed leaks in the head gasket and radiator, and engine and transmission failure. The contact feels that the vehicle is unsafe to drive because a crash could have occurred on the freeway. The current and failure mileages were 98,000.

7 Radiator problem of the 2008 Chrysler Sebring

Failure Date: 07/18/2008

Brand new (2 months old) Chrysler Sebring convertible caught fire while driving down a residential street. I have now discovered that there is a safety recall that was issued October 2007 for this but I was sold the vehicle in may 2008 and never notified of the safety recall. Car was a total loss.

8 Radiator problem of the 2007 Chrysler Sebring

Failure Date: 07/01/2008

The contact owned a 2007 Chrysler Sebring. When the contact stopped at the traffic light, the vehicle shut down. A few minutes later, the vehicle began to smoke under the hood and burn. The manufacturer took a report. They sent an investigator to the tow yard, but the contact has not yet received a response from the manufacturer concerning the outcome of the investigation. Chrysler recently mailed her a recall notice for NHTSA campaign id number 07v473000 (engine and engine cooling system: radiator assembly). The VIN was unknown. The current and failure mileages were 30,000.

9 Radiator problem of the 1999 Chrysler Sebring

Failure Date: 08/03/2007

Where do I begin? I purchased this 1999 Chrysler Sebring lxi used in 2006. It had over 100,000 miles on it, but appeared to be in good running condition. The check engine light was on when I purchased it and the dealer told me it was an O2 sensor. They could not find any engine problems with the car and told me it would be fine, so I bought the car. Silly me! after a year and a half later, I've had a total of 3 distributors put on, constant hesitation when accelerating and vehicle dying out. I also had a fuel pump replaced and now the radiator fan is going out and making a loud terrible noise. I cannot accelerate over 40 mph without the car cutting off and it will be paid for in about 8 months. Talking wishful thinking!?? the rims bend easy, the air always leaks from my tires and now there's also a bad oil leak. Chrysler makes a beautiful car, but it's a piece of junk after the first year I see! Chrysler's should be leased so that way you'll never have to worry about being stuck with it.

11 Radiator problem of the 1996 Chrysler Sebring

Failure Date: 05/01/2001

Radiator: the whole inside of the pipes; hoses; radiator is rusted. Every time I get an oil change I must get my radiator flushed and the coolant is completely rust color. It takes about 6 flushes for it to be clear again. This is abnormal for a car with only 86000 miles on it. I want all the hoses and radiator replaced free of charge. Convertible top: all the seems have come unstitched. . . I've had to glue them with special glue. The edging around the windows leaks. This should not happen!.

12 Radiator problem of the 1996 Chrysler Sebring

Failure Date: 06/01/1998

After replacing head gasket, I now have rust deposits in the radiator fluid. The window in back falls with a thump when put down, and the brakes constantly squeak. My dealer told me there was a national back order on head gasket replacement parts, and that he had a whole parking lot waiting to be repaired.

13 Radiator problem of the 2008 Chrysler Sebring
