Leakage of oily substance from mirror. Distortion of mirror reflective surface. Interior lights filled with substance. Damage to car interior around gear shift. Dripped on hand while shifting to reverse. Very difficult to remove from skin. Nlm.

Had received recall notice in the mail (#97v01500), manufacturer's recall (3717). Contacted the dealership. After arriving, dealership refused to perform the recall repairs.

Nhtsa recall 97v015000 manufacturer recall 717; car was parked and unoccupied and it caught on fire. Fire department came and put fire out. Cut all the wires, to make sure no other fire started. Specialist determined the cause of fire. Dealer and manufacturer contacted to investigate problem.

Recall #97v015000, consumer does not feel switch was replaced because water is still leaking into the switch.

The complaint is the obstruction in seeing out of the rear view mirror. Spoke to the manufacturer and was told that there is nothing that can be done since that is the design of the automobile. I was also told that he would turn over my complaint to engineering.
