Side/rear Glass Problems of Chrysler Sebring

2004 Chrysler Sebring rear window broke. Consumer states that the vehicle was on and the rear window broke into pieces without warning. The rear window also broke when putting the convertible top down.

: the contact stated while sitting in the vehicle for 30 minutes the passenger side window exploded. The passenger side door had not been opened nor had anything hit the window prior to the incident. Glass was blown both inside and outside of the vehicle; however no injuries were sustained. The temperature was in the low to mid 70's on the day of the incident. The dealer was alerted.

The driver's side windows leak during a rain. I have had this supposedly fixed 3 times and just took it back in again. The floor on the rear of the driver's side gets soaked, but not the passenger side.

While putting the top down, the rear windshield shattered. The top shatterd while in park. There was a grinding noise heard in the rear when the window shattered into the vehicle.

The black window sealing material takes forever to dry, and mildews causing the smell of mildew to permiate from the windows when being rolled up or down.

Vehicle was parked to lower convertible top, while convertible top was being lowered rear window had shattered unexpectedly. Contacted service manager, and was informed that window was not covered under warranty.

I have heard of quite a few Sebring owners having this problem. . . . . . Any recalls? no safety defect mentioned.

Rear window of my severing is coming out because of a defective top that they put on the car,the top is literally coming apart. I have complained to Chrysler, they won't cover this and I'm afraid the window is going to fall out going down the highway which I'm sure will cause an accident. I'm afraid to have my grandchildren riding in the car because of the safety issue it presents. Calls to Chrysler go unresolved. Can you help???.
