The contact stated that her sister in-law was stopped at a red light, when the vehicle from behind hauling a trailer rear-ended her vehicle which resulted in her rear ending the vehicle in front. The contact's sister in-law hit the steering wheel four times during the crash and the air bags did not deploy. The contact's sister in-law received medical attention on the scene and was transported by ambulance to the hospital. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic. Possible takata recall. Driver side air bag malfunction - did not deploy. Unknown at this time as to the specific mechanical part of the airbag system that malfunctioned in this accident. Accident: driver of (vehicle no. 2) was driving a 2005 Chrysler town and country on highway when he was hit on the left rear side/rear end of the vehicle. The police report states that vehicle no. 1 was changing lanes and hit vehicle no. 2 causing him to lose control of his vehicle. As a result of the impact from vehicle no. 1, vehicle no. 2 crashed into a median wall and was taken by ambulance to the nearest hospital to treat his injuries. See police report. Upon impact, the air bag on the passenger side deployed but the driver side did not causing great injury to the driver of vehicle no. 2. Please see photo of the inside of the vehicle where is shows the passenger side air bag was deployed but not the driver¿s side air bag. Road conditions were dry. The unsafe condition was that the air bag did not deploy upon impact thereby causing the driver of vehicle no. 2 to incur injuries that should have been prevented if the airbag had deployed as it was expected to. It is noted on the police report that the driver side airbag did not deploy.

Tl-the contact owns a 2005 Chrysler town and country. While driving 30-35 mph on a gravel road turning a curve the sand from the road impaired his vision and he crashed into an embankment. The crash damage the front bump and the right side of the vehicle near the headlights. He stated the air bag did not deploy. This failure occured April 21, 2010. He stated four passengers were injured but he did not know their injuries. A police report was filed. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer and the dealer repaired the bumper and the right side of the vehicle near the bumper. The contact had a similar failure on July 21,2010 while driving 30 mph going around a curve to avoid something in the road the contact crash into a tree. Two passenger had head, neck, chest, and stomach injuries. A police report was filed. The vehicle had damages to the bumper and front area. The air bag again did not deploy. The vehicle was at a local repair shop at the time of the complaint. The approximate failure mileage was 95,000 and the current mileage was 106,000. Vwb.

C. 552(b)(6) [xxx] I have a Chrysler, town and country touring, 2005 model, I met with an accident on 02/03/10 while driving to washington DC, my touring is totally damaged in the front, damages over $7,000. 00, however the air bags did not deploy, I have been trying to communicate with Chrysler, but they have been stalling me for the past month. I strongly urge that this defective airbags be investigated as it could lead to fatalities.
Light came on indicating an issue with the airbags. Light on most times the car is started, however, a few times it did not appear. Was told that it was a short in the electrical system of the srs located in the driver's side seat belt clip. The short would result in the airbags not deploying.

Car accident which severely damaged the front end of my 2005 Chrysler town and country where the air bag did not deploy.
I was a front seat passenger in a 2005 Chrysler minivan Town & Country. It was a rental. We had a front end collision and upon impact the front passenger airbag did not deploy until we were at a stop. Also, the seat belt did not lock in place and I was thrown into the windshield and dash. Injuries were sustained. Please advise.
Air bags did not deploy in front end collision. Air bag indicator was illuminated after the collision.
I had an accident at 45 mph, and the air bags did not deploy. Chrysler is saying there is nothing wrong with the vehicle. Phone intervew update (oct 25, 05): verified that there were no fatalities. T-boned another vehicle at the rear quarter panel at 45 mph and none of the air bag deployed.
Was side wiped by semi while doing the speed limit of 70mph. Hit and run, resulting in uncontrolllable crash into inside guard rail, almost head on. Appears car is totalled, per tow truck driver.
