1 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

Failure Date: 06/01/2020

I was involved in an accident in which I was hit by a vehicle traveling about 55 mph and I was stationery sitting at an intersection on a freeway service drive going east and the person hitting me was going south. The impact turned my vehicle south I was waiting for the light to change. It hit me on the front driver side headlight and did $5000 damage. I suffered three fractured ribs and a head and back injury. My airbags failed to deploy.

4 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

Failure Date: 12/24/2009

The airbag light came on this winter during snowy sloppy weather conditions, indicating an air bag safety failure on our 2006 town and country Mini van. It has remained on all winter. We talked to the dealer and they stated they would fix it but we would have to pay for it. Our concern is why Chrysler is waiting so long to issue a recall. This could be a life or death situation since the airbag will not deploy when that light is on.

5 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

Failure Date: 12/01/2009

Our 2006 Chrysler town and country air bag warning lights lit occasionally in fall 2009. By Dec 2009 both driver and passenger air bag warning light are always lit when the van is running. Our internet search found that 270,000 2005 Chrysler minivans were recalled for this same issue (warning lights stayed on, airbag sensors were corroded causing airbags to either fail to deploy or deploy at an improper rate). This seems to be a significant safety issue. Why haven't the 2006 Chrysler minivans been recalled?.

6 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

Failure Date: 10/28/2009

My wife was in an accident on the 28th of October going south on sudley manor dr. In manassas, va at 35 mph when a Ford f-350 made a left turn in front of her. She hit the truck in the rear quarter panel head on smashing the front end of the 2006 Chrysler Town & Country. Surprisingly, the drivers air bag did not deploy on an accident at 35 mph. My wife sustained injuries requiring her to receive a month of therapy.

7 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

Failure Date: 05/28/2009

I own a 2006 Chrysler town and country with 54,000 miles. The airbag light is continuously illuminated on the dashboard. Since the airbag light is illuminated, the airbag will not deploy. I had a mechanic look at the codes, and the drivers side frontal sensor is corroded. This is the same problem as the 2005 Chrysler Town & Country which has a recall with NHTSA campaign number: 07v192000. I hope you can amend the 2005 recall to include 2006 models, that way; this can be paid for by the manufacturer. The cost for a mechanic to repair is approximately $160 or parts and labor.

The contact owns a 2006 Chrysler town and country. The contact stated that the passenger and driver's side impact sensors were corroded. The sensor flashes on the instrument panel, which indicates that the air bags will not deploy. The contact discovered a recall on the internet, but the vehicle was not included. If the vehicle was involved in a crash, the air bags would not deploy. The occupants in the vehicle could be seriously injured. The current mileage was 53,500 and failure mileage was 52,500.

9 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

Failure Date: 09/08/2008

The contact owns a 2006 Chrysler town and country. While driving 65 mph, the vehicle was involved in a head on crash. The air bags failed to deploy and the contact was injured. A police report was filed. The VIN was unknown. The current and failure mileages were 36,000.
