The contact owns a 2009 Chrysler town and country. While driving approximately 30 mph, the contact smelled an electrical burning odor inside of the vehicle. The contact pulled over to the side of the road to inspect the vehicle and noticed that small flames were coming from the rear area of the passenger automatic sliding door. The fire department removed the door panel and extinguished the fire. The vehicle was towed to an authorized dealer for diagnosis and repair. The contact was uncertain if the VIN was included in the recall, and planned to notify the dealer. The failure mileage was 15,000.
