The van will lose all power no matter the speed. This has happened on numerous occasions within the past year. Will have to stop turn van off, then restart. Sometimes takes longer than others but has restarted and will happen again after a little while for no reason. This needs to be fixed before something more serious happens. Please fix this. My families life does matter and so does others>>>. . . .

Vehicle stalls randomly while driving. This causes steering to lock and breaks to malfunction. Very dangerous. This has happened on several ocasions.

The car goes from the "run" position to the "accessory" position all by itself while driving on streets. When that happens you have no power steering or brakes and the engine turns off. Since you have no steering or brakes, you can't control the car or stop it. Very dangerous/ life threatening. There was a recall for this on 2010 Town & Country's, but they tell me that my car is 4 months outside of that recall. So they know it was an issue and still is.

My wife was backing out of a driveway, the engine shut off and the power brakes and power steering didn't work. The vehicle drifted into the road because she was unable to stop in time. There were no other cars involved in the incident.

2010 town and country engine died when in motion going around 35 mph also died when coming to a stop at stop light. The electronic stability control light went on when engine cut off. Loss of power steering and power brakes. Was able to put it in park and restart.

I purchased this car two years ago with a limited mile warranty. A month later the ignition module went, we are constantly taking the car to have breaks front and back and rotors repaired every month on the vehicle. We were given a false carfax report as well. If that wasn't enough there was a faulty spark plug which cost me 800. 00 to remove the head gasket to replace the plugs that were never replaced and had dry rotted. This occurred in July of 2017 after I spent 3k in rental cars to get to and from work. On 8/4/2017 the thermostat blew which cost 200. 00 to repair now the catalyct converter is gone and on 8/5/2017 the car was acting possessed. I came outside side to start the vehicle and noticed the windshield wipers were going off and the car smelt as if it were burning. They keys were not in the vehicle. I need help I have a family size of 6 with small children that ride in this unsafe vehicle every day. It is our only means of transportation to and from work and additionally I pay a monthly car payment of $410. 00 not including insurance.

Vehicles turns off while being driven and different speed and brakes and steering wheel locks up.

My 2010 town and country shut off while driving without a warning it almost cause me and my kids to be in a accident this morning taking my kids to school please something needs to be done about this problem before someone gets hurt or worse.

Driving along and all of a sudden the car turned off, steering became tight, and steering wheel locked. After checking into the situation, the ignition key was in the off position, upon trying to restart the engine it says bad key and vehicle would not start, wheel wouldn't turn and vehicle was disabled.

Vehicle randomly shuts off while driving. I was driving during the day,straight, on a city street. Vehicle turned of and I lost all breaks and power steering. I took it to a dealership and they told me they couldn't find anything wrong. I have 5 kids and can't be using a vehicle that may or may not just shut off while driving.

2010 town and country can has been stalling while driving the steering locks as well as the breaks. It usually happens when I'm going between 20 to 35 mph. Iit will completely die in the middle of the street and the worst is crossing a busy intersection! I have taken it to several mechanics and unable to find the problem some of them just ignore this dangerous problem. It has shut off in the middle of rush hour with my kids in the van. There has been several town and country van owners with the same problem. When will Chrysler corp or anyone going to address this issue before someone gets killed? this has been an on going problem since last year with no help!.

While driving vehicle we have lost power steering and all controls to vehicle on 5 occasions. This commonly occurs after hitting bump in road. Symptoms of vehicle match up exactly to NHTSA campaign number: 14v373000, this is an expansion of recall 11v-139 (the engine will turn off, which will then depower various key safety systems including but not limited to air bags, power steering, and power braking), however Chrysler says my vehicle is not included in this recall. My vehicle was manufactured several months after the vehicles included in that recall. I believe my vehicle is also affected.

Van will unexpectedly become unresponsive while driving. Esp light comes on. No power steering. Brakes hard to push. Loss of control. Very scary. Have to try to pull over. Put in park. Then restart van. All recalls have been preformed. Dealer can not replicate issue. No code for dealer to determin problem. Has been to dealer three times. This issue has occurred 4 times now with no resolution. Very unsafe. Chrysler customer care has been made aware of problem. Can not come up with solution. Since they can not replicate. Will not offer to buy back car. Please help.

At random intervals while while in motion, either on city streets or the highway, the electrical stability controls fault out, causing the engine to shut off, and the steering wheel and brakes to lock up. The only option is to drift to the side of the road, come to a complete stop, and restart the car. This occurs multiple times throughout the day, though there is no official diagnosis from Chrysler as to the problem. It has experienced the issue for about 3 months and has gotten progressively worse. A separate recall is in effect for 2010 Town & Country cars manufactured during the first part of the year for this problem; however vehicles manufactured from July-December of the same year have no recall, despite exhibiting the same issue. Chrysler has been unhelpful in coordinating restitution for the faulty system, which induces dangerous operating conditions for drivers, especially on the highway. Though my family and I have not yet wrecked, this issue has caused multiple wrecks for others, and accordingly, numerous complaints.

The electronic stability control comes on for no reason. When driving normally under normal conditions. It comes on and stays on. The car then losses power steering, no power at accelerator, and brakes are engaged. A basic loss of control of vehicle. You have to try to pull over shut off vehicle and then restart. This resets and you can drive normally. This is an extremely unsafe and scary when it happens. Has happened three times. Have taken car to two different Chrysler dealers which find nothing wrong because no trouble code for them to read. . This has happened three times now. My wife is afraid to drive the car.

I was driving about 50 mph on a straightaway (city street) when I noticed the speed reducing. Then, I noticed cruise control had turned off and the esp light turned on. Power steering then was gone and power brakes. I steered to the side of the road and turned off and restarted the car. All was fine after restarting. At the time of the car shutting down, all lights and the radio were working fine. Note: the previous recall of 14v373000 does not apply to this van as it was manufactured in August of 2010. My theory is that the ignition switch failure that was cited in the above stated recall applies to not just vehicles manufactured before June 2010 but applies to this vehicle, as well. This was the third incidence.

The vehicle (2010 Town & Country) suddenly shuts down when running but usually turns on after simply pushing in (not turning) the ignition key. The vehicle is currently not covered under Chrysler's recall r03 (win module), since it was manufactured after the cutoff date (June 18. 2010). Vehicle is unsafe to use, since vehicle suddenly losses airbags, brakes, steering and power. Vehicle is now suddenly shutting off a lot more often.

The van ran out of oil. It was completely dry. No warning signs came on. No leaks. No smoke for the exhaust. One day it began to knock real bad and still no oil light was on. Now the van needs a new engine. This shouldn't of happened to a 2010 model with only 65k miles on it.

Was driving our 2010 Chrysler town and country straight down the road in our housing plan when the engine shut off. All of the electronics in the car still operated but, there was no power steering or brakes. Had to coast the vehicle to the side of the road to stop. The vehicle ended up stopping on a hill but, without the brakes it started to drift backwards. At this point the emergency brake was pushed to get the vehicle to stop. This happened the very next day as well. Luckily we were not driving down the highway as my 3 children in the vehicle. This could be deadly if driving at 60 mph down the highway.

While driving the vehicle the engine turns off and there is a loss of brakes, steering and engine.

Lost vehicle electrical system when I went over a bump in the road, on highway us-1 in saint augustine, florida. I pulled over and stopped the vehicle. Then restarted the vehicle and drove off. But this happened twice. Second time, I had to wiggle the key in the ignition, to get the ignition to start the vehicle again.

As I was running errands all of a sudden the steering wheel froze and my brake pedal and accelerator quit functioning, I noticed my stability control light was on and within about 10 seconds the vehicle just stopped running in the middle of the street, thankfully I had avoided the highway that day, it's usually faster but with it being a pretty day I wasn't in a hurry. It was 80 degrees and sunny, this happened on a paved road no standing water, no hazards. This isn't the first time it has happened, leaving my home it's shut off. But since the ignition switch recall and the replacement being installed I have had nothing but problems, my $250 key had jammed and it takes multiple times of starting and re-starting the van to get it out. Yesterday was my breaking point, had I been on the interstate which is how I usually move about the city it could have been devastating. Fortunately I have a extended warranty plan and the dealer will fix the issue for $100, but it doesn't fix the fact that I have a broken key and ignition switch that something is obviously wrong with it. I've owned 4 Chrysler Mini vans and this is the first one that has scared me.

I was driving the van and the steering wheel and brakes locked up. The van stalled in the middle of driving. Happened two separate days.

While driving down a smooth road, and without warning, the vehicle suddenly shut completely off. The power steering and power brakes were disabled as was the engine. This resulted in me having to make evasive maneuvers with little to no maneuverability and no ability to control the speed of the vehicle. It is my understanding from other recall notices that air bags are also disabled when this event occurs. This failure results in a very dangerous situation and in my opinion, the vehicle is unsafe to drive because of this product defect. The incident has occurred at least 6 more times since the first occurrence. I contacted Chrysler because there is a recall for the make and model of my vehicle, but I was informed that my vehicle was manufactured on October 13, 2010, which is outside the window for that particular recall. Again, I repeat that this is an unsafe vehicle and someone will get seriously injured as a result of this defect if it is not remedied ASAP. Again, the vehicle randomly and without warning will turn itself off in the middle of driving down the road. All systems power off and it is a very distressing event. Please expand the recall to include the additional manufacture dates which include my vehicle. I do not want my vehicle or any others out there like mine to be involved in a fatal accident that could have been avoided.

For the third time in three months, and while driving, the vehicle lost electrical system, engine power, power brakes and power steering, plus loss of all panel & engine lights, and loss of radio. The latest incident happened in a residential area at 30-mph on 2 March 2015, odometer approx 126280. The previous two events like this occurred when vehicle was on highway at highway speeds and while accelerating, during November 2014 and January 2015. Please note that the ignition switch during this latest event remained in the on position. I am not sure whether in the previous two incidents whether the ignition switch had (or had not) slipped out of the on position. During this latest event on 2 March 2015, to restart engine while still coasting down the road, I had to carefully put trans in neutral position, then turn ignition switch to off, and then turn the ignition switch to start, to restart engine. The engine thus restarted normally in all three of these incidents.

Vehicle was brought it to original dealership for a "winter maintenance" special. Dealership called claiming that both rear brakes and rotors needed to be replaced due to excessive wear yet the vehicle only has 25k miles on it. This is extremely premature wear for a vehicle in my opinion. I do not understand how a vehicle can destroy both its brake pad and rotor unless there is a design defect or known sub-par parts.

Vehicle shuts off without warning during operation. After driving for about 3. 5 miles vehicle shut off in the middle of a left hand turn through an intersection. Radio remains on, but engine, power steering, power brakes stop working, traction control dash light illuminates. Electronic key appears to still be in the run position, and the vehicle can be restarted by shifting to neutral and turning key to off position and back to start. Has happen multiple times, taken to dealership and they were unable to identify a problem. Chrysler also refused to mention or acknowledge existing recall for what appears to be this exact problem because this vehicle was manufactured a few days outside the effective dates of the recall.

Vehicle stalls with loss of engine power, loss of power brakes, and loss of power steering. Stalling event normally occurs within first few minutes of driving and seems to occur in temperatures below 40. Radio stays powered during occurrence and this can make notice of the stall event difficult until you need to turn, brake or accelerate and find you do not have engine power. Stalling events have occurred while pulling into traffic on major streets within first few minutes of driving and often while driving in parking lots and subdivision speeds. The vehicle has been taken to a Chrysler dealer several times and Chrysler cannot replicate the issue. Chrysler does not find any trouble codes stored to indicate an issue. The Chrysler dealer indicates this minivan is not subject to existing Chrysler recalls that indicate a loose key related stall.

I was driving into work around 5 a. M on 10/27/14. I was going around 35 miles an hour. All of a sudden my headlights started blinking, then all the lights on the instrument dash board was going off & heard a binging noise. All of a sudden my 2010 Chrysler town & county van shut off causing me to loss steering & brakes ! I tried to turn the wheel as hard as I could right to avoid going left into oncoming traffic & ended up hitting a telephone pole. The air bags didn't deploy either. I was taking to the e. R. & dignosed with a mild concussion from hitting my head off of the steering wheel & have right groin and hip pain ! now I feel it is unsafe to drive this van since this happened!.

Van engine will randomly stall when in drive and in motion which leaves the driver unexpectedly without power steering and power brakes (and perhaps without active airbags?). This has happened several times within the past month. The local Chrysler dealer is unable to duplicate or find the issue. No active or any relevant codes (dtc's) stored in the pcm. Observations: has only happened on a gravel road (luckily - with low speeds). Traction control light is illuminated every time. Upon coming to a stop and once the van is put back into park or neutral, it will immediately restart.

Driving along secondary road when suddenly car looses all power. Vehicle looses all power steering, brakes, and looses all instrument panel cluster displays except the traction control light. Once vehicle is stopped, driver can shift into the park position, turn ignition to off position and restart engine. Vehicle powers up and driving can resume.

Engine stalled several times. Wireless ignition node was replaced and then found 2010 Town & Country had recall for same problem. I was charged $626. 75 for this repair at dealer and claim our vehicle did not have this recall. However this vehicle had the exact same problem. Engine stalling resulted in the loss of power brakes, power steering and airbag loss. Luckily there was no accident at the bottom of the hill on a county road while my 3 children all under the age of 5 were in the vehicle.

I am the original owner with about 17000 miles on the car front and rear brakes over heating causing warpage in rotors. They were replaced by Chrysler but have gone bad again, when applying the brakes you fell the wheel shimmy and the stopping distance is greatly reduced.
