2010 Chrysler Town & Country, unit 1 was traveling eastbound on the ohio turnpike at mile post 124 in the left center lane, unit 1 hood latch failed causing the hood open striking the front windshield. Unit 1 pulled off onto the north shoulder to final rest. According to the police report, the latch was still attached to the hook on the vehicles frame. The hood latch was missing and the screws appeared to be stripped. The driver claimed he secured the hoof after checking the fluids on March 25, 2011.
