In oct of 2024 my driver's side window shattered out of nowhere for no apparent reason! I heard this really loud boom then the window shattered ! I took it in the have the regulator replaced and the window. I also put a windshield in it at that time as well. Then in August of 2025 not even a year later and once again my window shattered and my winshield cracked. This time I was driving on the freeway and I heard a big pop the crash and in tiny pieces mof glass fell in to the door driver's side window .

Consistent failure of the "total integrated power module" which controls so many items in the car such as windshield wipers, windshield defroster fan, exterior lighting systems, heater fan, the ability for the car to start, the horn may or may not sound and many other accessory related items. It is a very well known failure of these modules and they are basically un available blamed on the supply chain problems. As a result of these problems in this very well known module failure cars have become basically un-able to drive safely or not at all and sit in dealers service areas waiting for these modules to be replaced at the owners cost in most cases in excess of $1,000. 00 for a part that is a known failure in design by Chrysler corporation and their various owners (Mercedes Benz, fiat, stellantis) and others unknown at this time. This is against the consumer product safety commission as well as the national highway transportation safety commission to have so many defective modules that create unsafe conditions for the vehicle owners where they are concerned about their own safety as well as the safety of those they share the roads and highways with. I am along with many others asking you to look into this situation and find some kind of remedy to correct this ongoing problem for consumers and the safe operation of the vehicles that they operate on the roads of America as well as foreign countries.

While driving at 45 mph on a smooth suburban road, the rear windshield exploded. Previously, there had been no visible flaws in the glass. The windshield heater had been used for about 20 minutes, but turned off more than an hour before. The glass apparently exploded outward, as there were no glass shards in the empty row of kids booster seats in the rear. By internet search we learned there have been many of these same incidents over the years.

I went to turn on my headlights, and they didn't come on. All the other lights work. Parking, dash, tail, and the high beam indicator. But no headlights. Also l read that people complained about windshield washer' not working. I tried mine and they also didn't work. I see there is a recall on same problem with the 2005 - 2007 Chrysler town and country limited and they are under a recall. Mine is a 2004 t & country limited. It my mechanic has checked all the fuses and relay's and can't find anything wrong except for the lights and wind washers not working. I called my Chrysler dealership and they acted like they never heard of the problem. But that's o k with them because they don't have to drive a car without headlights.

VIN# 2a4rr5d16ar298469 ~ a 2010 Chrysler (t&c 230k miles) after turning vehicle on or while driving, these things often happen: 1) front windshield wipers come on by themselves. . . . 2) windows cannot be rolled down at any time while driving or parked 3) dash lights come on (esp, air bag off, rpm, mph, fuel, etc 4) one cannot open the car doors to let people in unless the vehicle is off (only thennnn you can push the key fab unlock button and let people in. . . . So sad). . . .

Back windshield shattered suddenly. Nothing hit it. Defective. Shattered due to weak corner/ defective. Seatbelt buckle broken in back seat. Driver headrest deployed. Transmission went up at 80,000 miles.
The car randomly shuts off when driving. We have to put it in neutral & restart quickly to avoid an accident. It can be city or highway. Also, when car is off windows randomly open on their own. Moonroof has leaked since we purchased & rear window fluid won't work.
The contact owns a 2011 Chrysler town and country. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to start-up. In addition, there was an abnormal exploding noise coming from the vehicle while driving approximately 40 to 50 mph. The contact mentioned that the windshield wipers failed to operate occasionally. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that wireless ignition and win module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 107,000.
For the last 2-1-2 to 3 years I have been having problems where all of my indicator lights on the dash - they will start flashing on and off, audio alarm (dinging) goes off, speedometer, rpm/temp gages repeatedly goes back and forth from max to min and windshield wipers will come on. At times turing off the ignition will resolve the problem and at others they just stop by themselves. I have also found that I can temporary alleviate these problems for a few weeks to a couple of months by removing the negative terminal off of the battery and pulling the 60 amp main fuse for 30 - 60minutes. Google sites states this problem is due to a bus/grounding problem. I finally took the vehicle into a Chrysler shop and was advised that the problem was due to a shorted cable that connected to center monitor of my ves system, which was also bad. The last time I used the ves system was two months ago so this does not logically explain why I have been experiencing the problem for almost 3 years. Also this same cable shorted out causing the monitor to go bad and was replaced approximately 7 years ago by the same dealer who now has the vehicle and the indication at that time was that my ves system was inoperable. As this problem has occurred intermittently while driving it presents a safety problem. I called Chrysler's customer complaint department and was advised that the only action that they could take was to call the dealer, advise them that a complaint had been lodged and write up the complaint. Their suggestion was that due to past negative experiences that I have had with this dealership was to take the vehicle to another dealer - no help at all and due to their lack of action an insult to the being called a customer complaint department, bottom line I have a vehicle with serious safety issues which Chrysler will not address. Search google for online examples.
Power window regulator failure. I have had not one, but two power window regulators fail while rolling the windows up. The regulators shattered inside my driver and passenger front doors on separate occasions. This caused the windows to fall into the doors. I'm told I'm lucky the windows didn't shatter. This is a huge safety issue while driving and the window suddenly falls down, and an obvious security issue if your vehicle has no window.

A/c evaporator failure at 85,148 miles. A/c refrigerant leak throughout the entire front cabin. Replaced with a new factory a/c evaporator, serviced and replaced with new a/c refrigerant. Failure again at 87,200 miles. Potentially faulty design in a/c evaporator.
This car is a melon. It is less than 4 years old and in the past six months I have had two major issues. The transmission died and there is a recall on other Chrysler town and country's for this same problem but not my car. Now the electrical control unit that controls all the actions of the vehicle (wipers, turn signals, etc) has died and has to be replaced.
The wipers kick on when when there not turned on they squirt windshield wipers fluid too.

Intermetint wipers don't work,, blind spot detection system doesn't work.
Defogger inefficient and unsafe when raining in summer caused by known problem with a/c heat blend door sticking. Ac on one side high heat on other. . Condensation forms on inside while driving on highway. Fca fixing for free on some 2014 -2105 models but not all even though same issue reported and same parts (identical part numbers) involved on same vehicle in same time frame.
Middle clip on sun visor with garage door opener snapped open causing the visor to drop and will not stay up. Caused me to run a red light due to the obstructed view. Safety concern.
While in motion on a city street, my instrument cluster panel lit up, windshield wipers turned on and couldn't be turned off, turn signals stopped working, as well as the speedometer, odometer, temperature gadge, radio, and heating/cooling system. The vehicle still drives, but is not safe to be on the road due to no speedometer and turn signals. Also, my driver side window was rolled down and is now stuck in the downward position.
The Chrysler blind spot detection is faulty on March 30 it began beeping randomly with message blind spot detection unavailable this continued for the next two weeks. It was randomly and persistent when driving. The beeping was a constant distraction to my driving. It was a safety concern. In the third week the message when the beeping was service blind spot detection we took the car in for service at that point. It was a cost of $1400. 00. This is an electric short in the vehicle very near the gas tank. It is a safety concern. As I researched the issue I was surprised that their is documentation back to 2012 that is readily available of this issue.
I was driving on the road I was going to apply bright lights when I did so they did not come on my windshield wipers came on try to turn them off they would not do so had no turning signals left or right and could not get the wipers to stop.

Car acts possessed, dash lights flicker, inside sound chimes, wipers go on there own, car loses power, turn signals won't work, shop said its a faulty tipm happens while stationary and driving.
Takata recall: the heater runs one day and stop the next day and the ac also when the weather cold the windshield will become foggy, and it is hard to keep driving the vehicle, which could cause accident. The transmission sensor light keep coming on and off on check engine light.
January 1st in oshkosh wisconsin while parked in driveway I warmed up our 2013 Chrysler Town & Country for 15 minutes and loaded up ready to go and turned on wipers and quickly noticed stuck to glass from ice so turned switch off. Broke loose from glass and retried wipers and poof they do not work. Checked all fuses & relays and tested wiper motor along with multi switch all good. Hooked my ansus fx4000 scanner to learn I have a tipm module problem. Next issue arouse three weeks later now automatic lights went out traveling in a snowstorm in evening & decided to further this issue. I will inform you's Chrysler is using electrical system that has many, many accessory and options all work on a ground based energizing system. Another way to put this is most all controls are positive energized at all times and body ground module sends signal to relays that complete ground circuits. Anyone with half a brain will realize this is a disaster waiting to catch fire at any given time or place and repeatedly fail. Why is it innocent working people need to die and go broke for dealerships knowingly ignore disasters. Call tipm rebuilders in California to educate your staff in recalling all scrap Chryslers nightmare electrical system has caused & destroyed good working people's pocket books for $1200 a pop to replace tipm module. Oh and dealers also tell everyone that reprograming is needed in replacing tipm module which in fact is a absolutely appalling lie . I hope to god someone wakes up an does the right thing.
It began with the front wipers coming on (as if it was raining) on a sunny day. . And the switch wouldn't shut it off. Have to pull the fuse to get them to stop. Then this progressed into not cranking, as if dead battery. I believe my problem is in the keyless switch. . As the battery is new, and I've had both battery and alternator checked. Both ok!.
The van will shut off while driving on the road the steering and brakes didn't work, I have to make sure I make it to the side of the road because it doesn't always want to start. It could be 5 or 10 minutes before I get it to start and I have had to leave it on the side of the road over night until the next day and have a tow truck pick it up. . I could of been killed or killed someone else. The horn, windshield wipers and window wiper water is spraying, flash lights flashing randomly go on at any time some times while I'm driving, some times late at night and the only way to stop all of this is to disconnect the battery or let it keep going until the battery drains. The speedometer goes on when I open the door but when I turn the vehicle on the speedometer goes off/blank. This scares me I'm afraid to drive it!.
My wife was driving on two different occasions and the van stalled, completely powered off. All electrical systems suddenly started acting in very abnormal ways. The wipers turned on as well as sprayed. The horn started going off, the locks on the doors gut stuck. All warning lights on the dashboard turned on. The ac quit working. The biggest problem is the two occasions the van just quit working going 40 to 60mph and the brakes and power steering not responding. This I think is major safety issues because my two little kids were with her in the van.
Side window electrical does not work also doors will lock and unlock without me touching controls it has done this for several years and I can't afford to fix it.

The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler town and country. While driving approximately 45 mph, the instrument panel indicators illuminated and the defroster failed. The vehicle was taken to monroe super store (15160 s dixie hwy, monroe, mi 48161), but the cause of the failure could not be determined. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage and VIN were unavailable.
There is a recall for 2015 Chrysler town and country, but I was told it is not for my vehicle. The recall number is s44. The recall is for the transmission because if the transmission loses hydraulic pressure, the vehicle may lose motive power, increasing the risk of a crash. This is exactly what happened to my vehicle today on the highway. The vehicle, with no other known problems, just lost power all of a sudden. Please help.
At intermittent times the horn goes off and the windshield wipers turn on and it squirts washer fluid. Sometimes while stationary and sometimes while driving. The vehicle will shut down on its own whether driving slow on a side street or at highway speeds. This started last spring (2016). I've read numerous reports of this happening and that it is the tipm module. I spoke to the dealer last year about it and they said there was no recall issued. I've also seen that this has not been considered a safety issue. How so? this is very much a safety issue and it needs to be a recall. Electrical systems are not a mechanical wear and tear item. I don't have any documentation of an incident yet and I hope my wife and kids don't have have one!.
One of my headlamp lens has a defective seal, resulting in it being completely fogged over and covered in condensation. Chrysler will not repair it under warranty. I feel this is a safety hazard that affects the headlamp vision at night.
