Oct, 2022 my car did not shift out of park so I googled my car and the problem, so it said it was my monostable shifter modular. I towed it to a transmission mechanic and they did a full body diagnostic test and I was told all I needed was to buy a new transmission shifter modular and a pcm to get my car running again. I did not have the $ 4,200 for them to fix my car so I had it towed back home. Now as of today my car is not running still because of the transmission shifter modular and pcm I bought brand new installed myself and for some odd reason the electrical started flickering as if maybe the wiring is wrong or something. Now there was already a recall on the following repairs I've done and yet its documented in the recall system that all recalls were repaired by manufacture in 2017 alternator diode thermal fatigue, April 2016 transmission electronic shift lever, Jan 2016 wheel chocks, July 2015 reprogram occupant restraint control module, Dec 2019 reprogram powertrain control module, oct 2012 emissions recall m30 position valve/internal temp diagnostics. So either the recalls weren't repaired as documented or it is a factory defect and my car needs the repairs done again at no charge. When I call to the dealers the management was a female and told me me my car was to old and they longer work on my car I've been told that several times. I also have all receipts for repairs and you will see that its the same issue as the recall that was apparently repaired.

Pcm/ecm failure during driving. Caused entire vehicle to shut off during speeds as little as 20 or as high as 70 mph. Severe safety issue and potential for critical component damage to other parts of the vehicle! warning tone and lamps do not appear until after the incident happens. And it has been confirmed by 3 consecutive car shops and dealers. Happens repeatedly, day to day.

All cars to date have same probems lifters will go out, intake manfold will suck oil into the air chamber, seals replacement will not fix. Car has huge elec probem, car put togather in sections so there no sold ground, so all grounding points will fail. With 60k miles I had rebuild drive train trasfer case two axles failed, car suffers from computer rebooting wich for just sec everything reset, awd system has programing probems, the motor will fail after warenty, these cars was ment to break down, they ment to have probems as no dealership talks to headcords as they lose so much money to fix these probems, I been lie to by all Dodge delear ships, pcm must be updated as in recall only part pcm was updated all the service builtions on it they never fix, in fack they told me to leave, so now I cant even get pcm updated, to note two delear ships I went to none in the shop was wareing mask none of them I must ask why they put my life at risk.
Fuse 26 in secondary pdc in truck for power to tcm (transmission) module blown. Vehicle would not shut off completely due to shifter physically in park, but software indicating still in drive. Could not open truck with either fob button or truck button on dash to check fuses or disconnect battery. No exterior key hole to open trunk manually. This is a safety issue if car catches fire.
After the pcm / tcm cruise control recall service, the transmission has not been the same. The shifting is all off and the transmission lunges and clunks. I have taken the vehicle back to the dealer several times. They report the transmission is functioning properly. When clearly it is not. The car lunges forward when coming to a stop.
I have a 2006 Dodge Charger that randomly dies when I'm driving on the highway in town at slow speeds turning corners or sitting still in park it's died on me several times when people have had to slam on the brakes to avoid hitting the side of me and it happens no matter what gear its in or what the rpm is at I've replace the ecm the tcm alternator battery and everything I've looked up about it online nobody has a definite fix but the problem exists in a lot of 2006 Dodge Chargers, and it almost always gives me one of two codes one is loss of communication with the ecm and the other is loss of communication with the tcm and then there's other times that it gives no code.
Having troubles with my Dodge Charger heard it's a recall . I'm extremely disappointed. It's my pcm.

The contact stated that the failure lasted for several seconds. Landers Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram located at 315 goodman rd e, southaven, ms 38671, (662) 349-3006, was called and the contact was informed that the failure may be caused by an issue with either the tcm, ecm or pcm. The vehicle was not diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 172,000. Ah.
The pcm - power-train control module fail, causing the motor to rock and jerk perfidiously from side to side as if your tire on the right side is on a flat and while driving down the freeway. Can stop are stall out at anytime with out you being aware. It happen while in motion and trying to park it.

My 2017 Dodge Charger is experiencing "hard shifting" when I get in the vehicle and start driving it. I just got it back from the dealer yesterday (the second time I dropped it off) and they say they experienced the problem but because there were no codes, they are referring the problem back to Dodge. They applied computer updates to the pcm and tcm on the first trip and that did not correct the problem. This has been going on for the last couple of months. The car only has 6,700 miles on it.

My 2006 Dodge Charger hemi police interceptor I purchased from the state of oregon at 137,000 randomly dies. The lightning bolt warning light comes on. The electronic throttle control code comes on. The car has been to the dealer and the pcm $750 has been replaced and the plugs $350 have been replaced as well. I also get tcm codes. My car has died at very dangerous times, when passing or merging into traffic. The dealer doesn't know what's causing it.
The contact owns a 2012 Dodge Charger. While driving approximately 60 mph, there was a rattling noise coming from underneath the vehicle, the contact coasted over to the side of the road and was able to resume driving. The engine stalled without warning, but the vehicle was able to restart. The failure recurred numerous times. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the pcm module failed. The contact was advised to take the vehicle to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the throttle body needed to be cleaned. The dealer installed a pcm software, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 126,000.
The contact owns a 2013 Dodge Charger. The contact received a recall notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16v240000 (power train). The contact took the vehicle to the dealer. When the dealer tried to replace the part, the transmission control module crashed and the engine stalled. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. The approximate failure mileage was 17,000.
Having a transmission related issue. Vehicle makes a jolt foward when coming to a complete stop. Sometimes it's not so bad but you can tell it's downshifting late or hard when completing a stop. This happens 90 percent of the time when my vehicle comes to a stop. I have the 8 speed transmission in the sxt version Charger v6. I have done my research and have found many Charger owners experiencing the same issue with no results on what's the cause or how to fix the issue. Dodge is supposedly aware of this issue and has since came out with a pcm transmission flash update. The update has proven to be ineffective for everyone including myself. The problem affects 2011 -2014 8 speed Chrysler and Dodge. I have owned my vehicle for 4 months and have been back to the dealer several times and have been told nothing they can do unless a recall is placed.
While driving my vehicle the check engine light and the esp bas light turned on and my car went into a mode where it only allowed me to go 35mph and I took my vehicle to a auto shop and the tech told me that he put it on the computer and he advised me that the engine code lost communication with tcm, the trans code read internal control module rom, abs read streering angle sensor not activated. He advised me that I may have to get a integrated control module if this happens again.

While driving I-405n at approx 63mph, my cel & tc lamp illuminated and car stalled out leaving me with no steering functions, then suddenly it turned back on and red-lined for almost 20secs straight leaving me at wot speeding straight towards the vehicle in front of me. The dash flashed something in the instrument cluster right before it shuts off but too quickly for me to be able to read it, the white box that highlights the selected gear turns orange and highlights all gears, then tachometer and speedometer fall to zero. This has happened on multiple occasions. I was able to record the the dash display on my phone when it was occurring back -to-back. I pulled fault codes(u0101,u1110,u1120,u11bc,u0121,u0100,u212). I took the car to dealership 2 weeks previously, they just reset my cel lamp and said bring it back if it happens again. This is dangerous and needs to be taken care of before it causes serious injury or death! I believe the problem is with the ecm and tcm programming, or the modules themselves. Included is screenshot from the video I recorded as it stalled on the fwy for the 3rd time in 10 minutess.
While driving on the highway in traffic at approximately 70 mph the car stalled with no check engine light or engine misfire/stuttering. The stall was as if the key was turned to the off position. The car coasted to the side of the road, restart was attempted and the car started perfectly, I continued to drive. The car stalled again after a few miles, restarted and it stalled again - this continued, each time with the time driven being less. All this time the check engine light did not illuminate. I finally made it to a shop where the car was diagnosed and the crankshaft position sensor and camshaft position sensor was replaced. This did not solve the stalling issue. The car will have the pcm replaced in hope that this will solve the problem. This is a very unsafe failure especially when traveling at high speeds - the car loses all power and is very difficult to move into the shoulder when it stalls (no power steering). This is a very serious safety concern that can be catastrophic.
This vehicle while driving 40 mph down the road suddenly had the battery light come on then the transmission light then all the warning gauges came on and started blinking as this was happening the vehicles engine was accelerating and decelerating, and the vehicle would not go past first gear road the shoulder until I could get safely off the road. Shut vehicle off it seemed to correct the problem. Went to have battery and alternator checked both were fine. Since then every few days the battery light will come on and then go off after vehicle is restarted. Today 2/11/2015 the battery light came on again and the vehicle started to buck around 40 mph then stop if I accelerated or decelerated. And at one point when idling at a red light it stalled and then started back up. I have heard a lot of similar issues with this problem with this vehicle. We as the consumers should not to be made to shell out thousands of dollars for things that the manufacturer should stand behind. We pay enough for the car to begin with we shouldn't have to pay more for something that is obviously not isolated to one or two incidents. Some of the parts that are rumored to be the problem are fcm, tcm, and ecm. All are supposedly fixed with a computer update. Well then so be it don't charge us the consumer.
The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Charger. After refueling the vehicle and driving approximately 25 mph, the instrument panel gauges malfunctioned and stopped operating. The pcm, tcm, bcm, and abs sensors illuminated. In addition, the vehicle suddenly began to accelerate and then slow down repeatedly as the driver released the accelerator pedal. The dealer stated that the pcm, tcm, and bcm needed to be updated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was unavailable.
I have a 2006 Dodge Charger r/t hemi. I have had this car for 5 1/2 years. It only has about 47,000, don't drive it much, but it has start giving me problems. Today, I almost got rear ended by a semi truck because my car shut off at the red light and the light turned green and the car would not go into gear. This was on the way back to the shop. . I took it to the shop last month on March 7, 2012, to have it fixed, they put it on the diagnostic machine and supposed to had found the problem they said it was wires and other thing around the tcm. They claimed to have fixed the problem but didn't. Out of my pocket $241. 00. This is what it was and is still doing: driving along at about 40-45 mph and you hear a ding sound and it jerks and the lighten bolt light flashes in the control panel on the dash the rpm gauge will drop and it acts as if it's going to shut off. Within a 20 mile radius it did this 8 times. It then shut off on my twice at a red light, the engine light, oil and the lighten bolt light came on. And once approaching the red light I punched the gas and it took off. Just afternoon the dealership called and told me that it was my tcm wanting to charge me another 600 + dollars to fix it. This is the same problems that was suppose to have been fixed last month at the dealership and I am really p. . . . That they are turning to charge me again for something that they had claim to have already fixed. I am on a fixed income with a family and I don't have that kind of money laying around. I noticed a few months or even a year ago, I was leaking transmission fluid and they claimed they replaced an o-ring or some kind of plug. I see now there was a recall on something similar to this and I was charged for it. I have never received recall notices in the mail about my vehicle and now I am reading these recalls and there are 3 that I was not aware of and that worries me.
