I was driving my vehicle straight down a city street at 36 miles per hour through an intersection light and my car began to shake really hard and the car began to drop speed on its own, I went to press the gas to acelerate and the egine light began to flash and the air conditioner started blowing really hot air and I lost all power to the vehicle. I tried to push the gas to turn off the busy street but I had no power so I had to pretty much coast to the nearest place to get out of traffice. Once I pulled over into a parking lot the car started to have a smell as if something was burning underneath the hood, at that point I put the car in park and pushed the off button, I sat a few minutes then tried to restart the car but it would not start and kept making a noise so I turned the car off got out and got my toddler out of the backseat and called my husband, he arrived about 10 minutes later and tried jump starting the car but it would not start and was making a weird noise when pushing the start button, at this point I figured the car stopped due to the alternator recall that was issued so I called my insurance company and had the vehicle towed to my local Dodge dealership where I had a diagnostic done on the vehicle and was told my engine is completely burned up due to lack of oil which is not true becuase I checked the oil dipstick 2 days after it had been sitting at the Dodge dealership and there was oil in the car and no oil leaks, I just had an oil change in March of this year (2018) so I believe my engine was burned up completely due to the alternator and a circut shortage cased the car to over heat and burn the engine, I need this to be investgated to see if this is secondary to the recall so that I can see if im responsible for the damages or not because now I need an entire new engine which is over $8,000 in costs.

Takata recall. Bad noise coming front under the front of the car when go over a small bump sounds like somethings going to break. Engine light tire pressure light and traction control like won't go off. Took it to multiple shops and I get a different story every time. . Traction control like came on one day and I can't go over 60mph without the car shuddering violently and losing a little bit of power.

Took car to the dearlership for tune-up;and transmission service on march13, 2013; on April 17, 2013 the car totally shutdown as I turned into the gas station. I got it started, it jerked as if it was choking,I managed to get to the dearlership and it shut down again, just before I made it up to the service lane at the dearlership. I was told that the rear axle seals were leaking, which I had repaired, also that an updated memory chip should have been installed in March,so that was done. Pickup my car on April 18, 2013 and while sitting in traffic, the car was shaking and felt as though it was about to cutoff. I put in park while at the traffic light and pressed on the gas to raise the engine;as I turned into my driveway, it stalled again. I took it back to the dealership, they intitally said there was a coil that was misfiring but the diagnostic machine could not detect it. I picked my car up on April 25, 2013 only to have something electircally draining my battery down to 4 or 5 volts every other day. Took it back to the dealership, technician said their diagnostic machine couldn't find any problems with the battery, alternator nor any of electrical parts. I had no problems with my car prior to having the above services done. After speaking with a mechanic, I was told that I am not the only person having these type of problems, especially after a new software chip has been installed. Perhaps this and other issues need to really be addressed with Chrysler.

Brakes have locked up x3. Vehicle almost skidded into the back of another vehicle @ 40mph. Afraid to drive vehicle. Had it checked out by dealership & repair shop, nothing wrong. Repair shop did note brake squeak and vehicle shaking even at low mph during test drive- he had just put new rotor and brake pads less than 3mnths ago! vehicle also has a noticeable 'kick' or 'jarring' when driving- even at 5-10mph in parking lot when accelerator pedal is not even pressed. I am very afraid to drive this car especially w/my child. This is my only vehicle and as a single mother and educator -safety, security, and reliability is important.
Dodge Charger. Rotor/brake trouble. Squeaking during 5-15mph, and violent vehicle shaking when stopping during 30+mph.
I purchased this car on August 4 2008. Initially, when I test drove the vehicle, the car would mildly vibrate on a complete stop. I told the sales representative about the problem and we both agreed it might have been a minor issue. He stated the problem will be corrected prior to purchasing the vehicle. I did not think nothing of the issue. The day I purchased the vehicle the sales representative stated that the problem was corrected through the maintenance department. One week later, the check engine lighted up on a Saturday morning prior to me going to work. I drove to work with the light on with no others problems. After arriving at work, I called the dealership requesting a appointment at earliest Tuesday morning. On that Tuesday morning, the maintenance representative suggested that the engine sensor revealed " flex plate" also that I should leave the vehicle with him for arrival of the part the following day. I agreed and waited for two days. On Friday morning, August 15 2008, I picked up my vehicle under the assumption everything was okay. After signing the maintenance invoice, I noticed the technical name of the problem was a "flywheel. " I felt a little misled. Later, that afternoon, the check engine flickered on and off for a few minutes and the vehicle started vibrating very hard when stopping or slowing down.
