When you fill the gas tank the vehicle cuts off and stalls in the middle of traffic and cannot restart. This has happened every time the tank was filled. Multiple times and every time.
Every time I get gas, my Charger stalls at stops and while driving. Not good!!! I have had several close calls! I do not top off and I always use premium. Something has to be done this is not safe for anyone on the road.
On 3/10/2023 my vehicle suddenly starting trembling and shaking profusely! it terrified me severely. I immediately called my mechanic and it was towed in to be repaired. I was told it needed a tune- up. Towing, 3-direct ignition coils replaced, 6-spark plugs replaced and 1- fuel injection plenum gasket set replaced. Four weeks later on 4/16/2023 a warning sign of a backwards meeting parenthesis with a lightening bolt between to the two backwards parenthesis showed up on my warning lamp-electronic throttle control (etc) indicator symbol; causing my vehicle on shake, jump and stall as I was driving on 29s heading toward 70w towards baltimore to get home. I was able to drive to side of the road and my car completely stopped. A the horrific sounds of the traffic wizzed by me and my 12 year old child, I immediately called aaa, as we were in danger and severely terrified. We were finally picked up after 3 long hours!!!!! my car was the towed up the street from my home because the huge tow truck was unable to get directly in front of my door at that late hour. As I called aaa back the next morning to have my car towed to my mechanic shop, I was told I could only get 1 tow/ breakdown. I was totally in disbelieve after all we endured the evening/ night before. After explaining to a supervisor at aaa, she agreed that we had such a horrible experience the night before and adjusted the policy to accommodate my vehicle to be towed to my mechanic for repairs. This time, my fuel pump needed to be replaced and it has been. My vehicle still feels hesitate in its acceleration and as of today my engine light is on on my warning panel. I have been contacted by a nhts recall team agent and have been scheduled for an appt.

I just bought the car, a 2011 Charger r/t awd, and drove it home approx. 400 km. I filled the fueltank full when coming home, and left the car still for 2 days now. I have been smelling a strong gas odor on the especially when the tank is full. Today while parked in my driveway I noticed a puddle of gas under the car too. The puddle was under the right rear seat. I haven't been able to take a look, as it is minus 20 degree here now and for the next week. Even if I noticed this just reasontly, this problem has been a while hopefully this will be a matter the dealership can handle, as I can tell it is a worldwide issue I hope that the car being in norway doesn't make it an issue, as it is just as dangerous problem here. Hopefully this can be dealth with befora any accidents happen.

Instrument cluster and radio “monitor “stopped displaying vehicle information causing everything to disrupt driving while driving in traffic. Steering was swaying and difficult to drive. There was a recall # safety recall v32/NHTSA 19v-203 for the same problem so it now has the same issues.

Usually after I fill my car up with premium gas and start to drive it around it will stall out of nowhere especially when stopped or low idle.
Gas smells in the back seat of my car. . . . Where the pumps are underneath the seat. Gets older when fas tank is full.
Car will stall and not start after filling with gas. After awhile car will run but shut off randomly. This can happen while driving. Car has been stuck at intersections and will stall even doing highway speeds. All lights will appear on dash engine car will lose all power. Small ding before it dies.
Strong smell of raw gas when fuel tank is 1/2 full(+). The smell is inside and outside the vehicle (mostly on driver's side near back door & wheel well) whether vehicle is running or not. The smell is just as strong outside as inside. When fuel level falls below 1/2 tank, the gas smell reduces. Removed rear seat, drivers side fuel tank cover have a crack in it. A puddle of gas was sitting on top of the fuel pump & a brown burn mark near the electrical plug. Google search: many complaints of fuel pump leakage. The fuel pump still works, it pumps/primes when the key is switched to the acc position & the car cranks when pushed to turn on. The issue is fuel is leaking from the pump upward when tank is at or above 1/2 full. Tried to order new pump from local dealership (northpoint Chrysler Dodge) who said it calls for a different part#, is out of stock with no expected date of availability, & is not available anywhere within their network. September 8th, went online to a site that provides oem parts (world parts direct). They said the part was not available until September 23rd. Since they provided an availability date, I ordered the part & waited. The delivery arrived on the 29th. What arrived have a totally different part# with an electrical connector that must replace the factory connector. In order to install, the factory harness must be cut, spliced, soldered, & heat shrink a rubber sleeve to protect the soldered wires. I questioned the different part#, was told that is what their supplier sent, it is oem, & should work. The new connector came with a diagram showing to switch the 2nd & 3rd pin from the factory connector into the new connector. The factory (+) & (-) pins are side-by-side, the new connector separates them. Fuel pump wiring is faulty, dangerous. Raw gas encountering electrical connectors is unsafe, can be explosive or deadly. Not inspected/repaired by dealer or mfg, no cel, avail for inspection if needed. Let's not wait for someone to die for recall.
My 2016 Charger has the same problem described in emissions recall ub4, revision 5. When filling tank with gas, there is a very strong odor of gas. After about three days of driving, it dissipates. Revision 5 by added 2015 and 2016 Dodge Chargers, but I have been told that my vehicle is not included in that recall. It most certainly is a safety issue. Again, it has the exact problem as described in that recall. The gas smell is so strong, I cannot park it in the garage. I'm not sure if NHTSA issued the revision 5, or fiat Chrysler issued it.
After filling up the car with fuel (93 octane) the car stalls after a couple of minutes. This has caused unsafe situations as the car has stalled in the middle of intersections and on the road. This has happened consistently after filling up. The car does not start immediately after stalling. After a couple of minutes post stall, I am able to restart the car. At times, the car studders while moving. This all happens after topping off with fuel. The vehicle has approximately 106,000 miles.
I’ve been smelling fuel inside the car after filling up and around the rear driver side tire and found fuel leaking in the front of that driver side rear tire. I removed the back seats to find fuel sitting on top of the fuel level valve. I dried up everything and unplugged the fuel pump electrical connector to find fuel leaking from the plug itself. I’ve been having issues with me passing out after filling up my car and after me finding this it makes me believe this is the issue to my health problems.
My 2015 Dodge Charger is in the shop because of the “fuel pump and pigtail to the the fuel pump, burnt off the exhaust ” per the mechanics exact words. The mechanic told me my car has the possibility to catch fire/explode and can pose great harm to me and anyone in the car. I was also informed this problem was a manufacturing issue and there was nothing I could have done to cause it or prevent it. This problem is extremely reminiscent of the r07 recall in 2015 Dodge Chargers, yet my 2015 Dodge Charger VIN does not show this recall for my car specifically. I believe this is a matter of safety and should be explained to all 2015 Dodge Chargers.

I am tasked with maintaining a fleet of Dodge Charger police vehicles. I have a constant and concerning problem that needs to be addressed. On nearly all of the vehicles in service, the fuel pumps crack and leak raw fuel onto the ground, hot exhaust. Aside from the toxic fumes trapped in the vehicle, this presents a major safety issue as the raw fuel could be ignited by the exhaust system. I have video of raw fuel leaking onto the ground after filling the fuel tank. When posted on social media, followers complained that their vehicles also did this with as little as 30k miles. Dodge has yet to address this issue and if the warranty is expired, they charge full amount to replace the fuel pump.

The gear shift, camshaft. Have to keep taking it back for repairs after having repairs done on car.
Engine stalled while driving 3-5 times. Almost caused a collision.
Car has strong smell of gas inside. Seeing by the other reports here that there is a regular problem with the fuel pump causing this issue. Is a safety hazard for obvious reasons. Drive shaft failed last year at less than 60,000 miles, but luckily had it replaced under dealership warranty. Others have not been so lucky, as I can see in these reports. Like tons of other reports here, door panels are also warping and disconnecting from the inside of the car. A completely cheap and poor design, and am shocked to see that nearly every problem I've experienced with this car is commonly experienced by other owners of this car. No idea how there haven't been more recalls, it's criminal that owners of this vehicle are left to foot the bill (thousands of $$$) for all of its defects.
Car will shut off and or stall after filling up.
Abs wiring had a recall and replaced but the abs module is now out air bag had a recall but now the air bag clock spring is out fuel pump had an extended warranty but is now out and fuel pump needs replaced crank shaft main bearing seal needs rplaced for an oil leak but other parts have been replaced for an oil leak within the past month.
Two days ago my fuel pump stopped working. Upon inspection the top of the fuel pump had a pinhole on top from the metal connector inside getting to hot. . . Gas was spilling out under pressure and when the tank was full. I replaced the pump. . . The problem is the old pump shows burn marks on the inside from the original connection. And it got so hot it melted threw the top . . Please help me fix this issue as I am afraid of fire. Replacing the pump is not going to fix the problem with your connection on top being wired the way it is. . . I have read many reviews online of Chargers and chryslers having this same issue and I drive my family in this car. I can not be worried about the fuel pump arching and blowing the car up. Please help.
My air bag light is on and im having problems with high idle after replacing map sensors, and replacing the throttle body, and replacing the fuel pump my car is running horrible.

While traveling on the highway at approx. 70mph at night the vehicle shutdown completely resulting in the loss of throttle, power steering and lights. This is an safety issue that can cause death or serious bodily harm to the driver and other drivers along a motorway as the vehicle is no longer able to be seen in low light situations and the vehicle is unable to be properly controlled due to the loss of power steering. Issue was deemed due to loose bolts for the power distribution center.
The primary fuel pump (under the rear seat, driver's side) was leaking gas through the electrical connector. The electrical connector on the top of the fuel pump (exposed by removing the back seat and plastic cover), had two of the five metal pins where the plastic had melted allowing raw gas from the tank to leak through the connector. Gas would leak through connector when the tank was full of gas down to about 3/4 of a tank. The gas would collect on top of the fuel tank in the well created for the fuel pump and retaining ring - the gas leaked through at a sufficient rate that it would fill up the well and then dribble down on the ground underneath the car. The smell of gas in the car was horrendous, and when driven the gas would spread all over the rear underside of the gas tank and rear end of the car. There are many references to this issue on the web/youtube for the Charger/300/etc - hard to believe it is not a safety recall especially since the leak is through an electrical connector that feeds power to the fuel pump!.
I've owned this car a little over a month. I filled up the gas tank today, after leaving the gas station the car stalled in the middle of a busy intersection. Thankfully no one was coming the opposite direction at the time before I could get the car restarted. At the next light it stalled again, and then was able to restart the car. I was able to pull into a parking lot to access any issues. Nothing looked wrong visibly. While idling the car stalled again. I researched the issue and found other similar issues with this year and make of the car stalling after filling the tank. This is a huge safety issue as there was no warning and the car completely stalled and had no function. If cars were coming at me in the intersection or I was on the highway which was the next exit, it could have been worse for me and others on the road.
My 2006 Dodge Charger has approximately 51,000 miles on it. Last fall when I filled it up with gas and left the station to go home, my car stalled 5 times on a very busy road just trying to go home. It always restarted. It now does the same thing every time I fill it up with gas. It will either stall once I leave the station (sometimes multiple times) or jerk back and forth when trying to drive it. So far it has always restarted, but I am very concerned about my safety if it happens to stall when driving or turning at an intersection and there is an accident because of it. I understand that their is a lifetime warranty on this problem on these vehicles (extended warranty x53); and I would like to get this problem taken care of before I get in an accident. I have read up on this problem on Dodge forums and will be calling Dodge in the next few days to see about having this problem taken care of. This is a definite safety issue and needs to be handled ASAP.
Since owning this car everytime I fill up the gas (not over filling) or even going above 7/8 of a tank, my car stalls 3-10 times and chuggs while driving. I have already replaced the purge valve with no luck. After doing much research it has come to my attention that there has been a recall on cars just like mine. But when I look up my VIN it says no recall available. I am terrified to drive my car after putting gas in because I don't want to get into an accident.
Gas tank and fuel pumps are located under passenger seat. The primary fuel pump is located on rear passenger side. I have been getting a gas smell after fueling. I thought maybe some gas spilled or it was my fuel filler neck so I had it checked perfectly fine. So I fueled again today and smelled gas. Lifted rear seat and noticed crack on black plastic cover. Removed and a pool of gas on top of driver side fuel pump. Researched online and found several Charger challenger Chrysler owners with the same exact issues. I also found where a minor accident caused the death of 4 people car went up in flames. My kids sit in this back seat and it is very very alarming. I'm surprised that there is no recall on this as of yet. It's a well known issue amongst owner just google fuel pooling on fuel pump. Shoot there's even a manufacturer making reinforced covers so this doesn't happen. What happens is the weight from sitting in the back seat smashes on the covers and the connectors causing the plastic fuel pump to crack after a while also possibly damaging the connectors. This is a very expensive fix it not deadly. The car almost becomes not drivable. I hope this gets addressed and all owners receive compensation.
One of the pins on the fuel pump & associated harness got hot enough to melt a hole in the top of the fuel pump causing it to leak gas.
