When involved in a accident the air bags failed to deploy. While driving down the road at night came across a cow in the road . When I noticed it was to late to slow down or move out of the way, when approached at 65 mph. Hit the cow, straight on in the middle of the front grill, when came to a stop, the hood was buckled grill and metal guard along with radiator and all of the front buckled in about 1 and a half feet pushed in, during im pact the airbags failed . I hit my knee on the dash hurt my shoulder and sternum. Doctors were amazed that my injury were not more . I really think the airbags should have deployed . I have photos of what the truck looks like now .

Vehicle: 2005 Dodge Dakota with 24,000 miles on the odometer. The airbag warning lights for both the passenger and drivers side airbags continually go on and off presumably indicating that the airbags will not deploy in an accident. This started about 3 - 5 weeks ago. The dealerships service advisor said to make sure there was nothing under the seats (there isn't) and other than that, since the vehicle is out of warranty, be prepared to spend a lot of money hunting for the cause of an intermittent sensor failure.
2005 Dodge Dakota was involved in a frontal collision. The passenger side air bag failed to deploy and the seat belts failed to lock. The driver hit his head on the steering wheel which knocked one of his teeth out.
