Dodge Dakota owners have reported 1 problem related to speed sensor (under the vehicle speed control category). The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Got an abs warning lamp (stayed lit) on the instrument panel when I started the car. When I drove down the road, the speedometer didn't work. I troubleshot the problem myself and corrected it. The speed sensor, mounted in the rear end, was bad (read "open" with an ohmmeter). I purchased a new sensor ($42) from the dealer and installed it. Car works ok now.
