I drive a 2015 Dodge Dart. I was backing into a parking spot on a decline. Shifted to n, coasted with my foot in the break, until comfortable. When completely stopped, I set the e-brake. My brake pedal decompressed and pushed back at my foot. Now pedal is stiff and won't move. When leaving parking lot brake pedal halfway decompressed. I went to stop at the intersection stop sign. Pressed brakes to stop and couldn�t. . The pedal was rock solid, stiff as a board. I then pulled my e-brake, only to come to a screeching stop half way into cross traffic. I pushed brakes to shift to reverse and the pedal was stiff with no play. I shifted to reverse and backed into a parking spot, had to, again, pull my e-brake to stop. Called a tow truck and had it towed. Brake booster failure. Dodge wanted 3k. My friends shop wanted $400. Had car towed to him. When he ordered the part, it was on national back order. So I asked myself why, looked into it and found out the �13-�14 models brake booster was recalled. My car was manufactured early 2015. When I checked the VIN, there was no recall. But seeing how the part is on national back order, and I've been without my car for nine weeks now, I'm starting to think it should be a recall. If it originally was 3 days to 3 weeks, and that's now tripled. .

Hi on new years eve my brakes failed and I hit a dog going 45 mph then on Jan 5 a 18 wheeler came over on me and I hit my brakes going 70 mph on interstate but never slowed down it did make a mark in the road but no. Sounds or anything. I got over as much as I could I hit the guardrail then spun in two lanes and hit the other guardrail. Not one airbag came out. A few months before that my brake booster went out. Also I have a recall on my transmission but they don't have the part to fix it so it could be throwed I to neutral without a notice. . I have pictures of the car the accident the brake booster and a police report . The car only has about 80,000 miles on it and the 2013 and 2014 all have brake problems and online alot of people complain about 2015 brakes and airbags. I feel these cars should be pulled off the market I still owe alot of money on this car and. Forking out over another $500 or more to fix it so I can drive it.

Drove to work fine. Got into Dart to leave, started car. After 2 seconds I feel the brake pedal push out hard against my feet with a hissing sound. The alarm "service electronic braking system" pops up. I'm thinking it's just extra pressure like older vehicles, so it's ok. But no, I pull out of the parking spot and realize I have to stomp the pedal with excessive force to get any stopping response. I had to drive it home very carefully, but the braking response when pressing the pedal is about 2 seconds of slowing then a hiss and you feel the brakes let go, so you either have to keep doing that or stomp with all of your might and pretty much lock up the brakes. I'm not the original owner, I got the car about 1. 5 years ago at 48000mi, I'm now at 64239mi and very concerned about my safety. It's a 2015, and looking up recalls the 2013 and 2014 cars were recalled for this same issue, but for some reason my car (which is a 2. 4l manual, almost identical if not the exact same car to previous years) was not. I don't have the funds to replace a braking system and really don't feel that I should have to because the car itself isn't old enough to constitute a brake system failure.

The parking brake has failed on two occasions, once while stationary when it was at the dealership. It crashed into a car in their parking lot in 2016. The vehicle has been in and out of the dealership over the last four years. It was in the dealership in 2015-2016 thirteen times for oil leaks and the engine either dying or almost seizing while in motion. This resulted in my vehicle starting on fire in late 2016 early 2017. The repair for the fire damage was covered by my insurance company and it was subsequently fixed by a different dealership after that. More recently, it was in my driveway and rolled into my truck and damaged the front of the vehicle's bumper while stationary with the parking brake was engaged. The symptoms with the engine have also started to reappear while in motion in 3rd or 4th gear. . . It starts to act like it's going to completely die. Needless to say, I have it back in the dealership for diagnostics. Some of the recalls listed on this website sound like things I have experienced, please let me know if there is anything I can do. My time is the main thing I care about at this point and don't want to spend another 2 years endlessly in and out of the dealership. I just want a car that operates normally.

Issue #1: brakes when attempting to come to a stop (whether it be a red light, a stop sign, or a sudden stop due to heavy traffic on the highway) the brakes fail to fully grasp making me susceptible to ramming the person in front of me from behind. Issue #2: engine? on two separate occasions, the car has suddenly just shut off while driving. There is no prior warning to this occurring. Engine just completely shuts off and that leads me to sudden misses in being hit from both incoming traffic and traffic from behind. Battery is brand new so that is not the issue, especially since the car will eventually start after several attempts. I took it to my local mechanic who was unable to duplicate the issue. First time it happened was in August 2018, the past time it happened was November 2018.

Clutch is sticking in the 1. 4l turbo Dart while stationary. Car wouldn't start right away but did eventually. Hard to get into gear while stationary. Emergency brake has failed and is not working. Airbag light is on, on the dash.

About 1 year ago, the brakes went out while going down a hill on the way to work. They said it was the brake booster and some other part related to that. The proof of those lies is in the recall which clearly says there is no fix for this problem at the present time. That means that my brakes could fail at any time and I cannot go about my normal life in a panic about driving to and from work, or the grocery store, or have anyone in the car with me, because I am always preparing for an inevitable crash. I should not have to live this way, and they have known all along that there was a problem, and have done nothing to make it right, but have done everything to pretend it did not exist. I should not be forced to continue paying for a car that will one day result in my death or injury. This car should be bought back from me if there is any fairness at all, otherwise I have paid on time for two years on a car that is faulty and dangerous. This puts me at a disadvantage when going to buy a new car with no trade in.

I will not suggest anyone buy a Dart and expect to have all these issues dealt with at no cost as after reading multiple complaints I see its a common issue.

While gaining acceleration onto the freeway, I was forced to make a sudden stop. I had plenty of room to stop safely and was not traveling at a high rate of speed. Brake booster was to blame and replaced by dealer. Dealer stated that this was the first they had heard of the problem and I took it as a fluke. Yesterday I experienced the same thing - pop from the brake pedal then no brakes. Towed to dealer for repair - again! I bought this car to be safe and reliable. I love the car, but it's neither of those things. Thankfully I've been lucky both times and I have not killed myself or others with this defect. The underlying problem needs found and addressed ASAP.

I was pulling into a parking space at a low rate of speed between two vehicles. Putting my brakes on to put the car in park, the brakes failed and went to the floor. I have filed a complaint with Chrysler. The representative said he did not drive the car. He put his foot on the brake and accelerated. This will not tell you anything. The 2nd day I owned it, it died at a red light. Which the dealership said it was from vapor lock. That couldn't have happened as the salesman put gas in the night before and didn't top off the tank. Then the 3rd day I had it, it was jerking up a bridge in heavy traffic. The dealership said it was hill assist. I can't find that anywhere in the description of the car. He said I wasn't use to the car. I want someone to step up and take responsibility from either the dealership or Chrysler. I don't want this car. It has mechanical issues.

A few short weeks after purchasing the 2013 Dodge Dart rallye 1. 4l turbo; the bluetooth failed to stay connected. Took it to get serviced at least three times due to this issue. In addition, just recently (2014) the emergency brake has failed to work when parked on an incline; not all of the time but sometimes. Also recently noticed, the cruise control button on the steering wheel fails to work all of the time. Not until you stop and restart the vehicle does the cruise control "decide" to work once again. Even so, in the first few months of obtaining the vehicle I noticed chip marks on the front bumper. As 2014 has approached, there are about a couple hundred chip marks on the front bumper but the car has not been driven in areas to cause this much damage. The Dodge Dart rallye's were supposed to contain chip guard which does not make sense as to why the front bumper paint has chipped off so badly!!!.
