Engine Oil Leaking Problems of Dodge Dart

Tl-the contact owns a 2016 Dodge Dart gt sport. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle misfire and stalls with the engine warning light illuminated intermittently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (san leandro Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram srt 1444 marina blvd, san leandro, CA 94577) where the spark plugs (engine) were repaired, however, the failure recurred multiple times. The contact mention that the dealer did inspect to see if there were any leaks because the contact has to add oil every month as needed, but was unable to duplicate any leaks. The parking brake has failed on two occasions, once while stationary when it was at the dealership. It crashed into a car in their parking lot in 2016. The vehicle has been in and out of the dealership over the last four years. It was in the dealership in 2015-2016 thirteen times for oil leaks and the engine either dying or almost seizing while in motion. This resulted in my vehicle starting on fire in late 2016 early 2017. The repair for the fire damage was covered by my insurance company and it was subsequently fixed by a different dealership after that. More recently, it was in my driveway and rolled into my truck and damaged the front of the vehicle's bumper while stationary with the parking brake was engaged. The symptoms with the engine have also started to reappear while in motion in 3rd or 4th gear. . . It starts to act like it's going to completely die. Needless to say, I have it back in the dealership for diagnostics. Some of the recalls listed on this website sound like things I have experienced, please let me know if there is anything I can do. My time is the main thing I care about at this point and don't want to spend another 2 years endlessly in and out of the dealership. I just want a car that operates normally.

The contact owns a 2016 Dodge Dart. While driving, the contact heard an abnormal beeping noise. Upon opening the hood, the contact checked the oil and noticed that the dipstick was bone dry. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle was consuming an excessive amount of oil. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic who performed a leak and comp test and the results were negative. The vehicle was taken to prestige Chrysler Jeep Dodge (6520 centennial center blvd, las vegas, nv 89149) where the pvc valve was replaced; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was contacted and did not assist. The failure mileage was 71,144.

I have had 5 different places change my oil and at every one the filter has either come off in my hand or create a gap in the filter seal which is caused oil to start spraying all over the car and leaking all over the ground. All five times this is happened the filter is either going off in my hand or had the seal of the filter start leaking oil. Spraying oil all over in the engine compartment and causing me to lose all of my oil on the ground and all over the engine unknown if this is caused any other problems inside the engine yet every time this is happened I was just about to get on the freeway I was able to go somewhere else and have it taken care of with minimal driving without oil . This is has happened five times now at different locations changing the oil every time it's happened when you just change the oil and also when it's almost time to change oil again or anytime in between that. If I had made it on the freeway with any of these times that this is happened it could have been catastrophic to my engine and cause me to crash.

2013 Dodge Dart. Consumer writes in regards to defective clutch system. The consumer stated after approaching a red light, the clutch stuck to the floor. Also, the turbo charger failed and needed to be replaced. An o-ring melted which caused oil to leak onto all of the spark plug tubes and destroyed the oil separator. The vehicle was repaired. The motor has had an oil leak that started at 3000 miles and they have not been able to resolve. I am worried that this might lead to an enine fire. I have had it at the dealer several times for this problem and it keeps happening. With the powertrain the vehicle will not move then surges forward. This started around the 5000 mile mark and continues to happen. It acts like the clutch slips but I have had it in the shop several times and every time I am told nothing is wrong. This issue is dangerous when sitting in traffice or taking off from a dead stop becaue the car does not want to move at first and then when it does lunge forward it is not controlable how far it will actuall go.

I bought my car April 2nd 2015 use from montrose kia of sheffield and love it for the first 2 month then I started experiencing my car just randomly stalling on my while I'm driving and then won't want to start again it. . So I took it back to the dealership and they couldn't find a problem with my car because it didn't happen while they test drove it of course so I left then a a month or so went by and it did it again so I called the Dodge hotline plus took it back to the dealer and still couldn't find anything wrong with my car and once again it happened to me tonight 4 times so I called the Dodge hotline once again told them what's going on and I told them that I have it on recording and I was gonna start recording it every time I drive. . . I can't afford to take it back to the dealership again and the lady said that's all I can do is take it to the nearest Dodge dealer and have it diagnosed but that cost $250 that I can't afford. . I bought a 2015 for a reason so I didn't have to worry about my car braking down and yet it's braking down on me! thanks Dodge!! and also it all happeneds normally when my car is cold and in motion also my car goes threw oil like crazy I go threw like 2 quarts a month and there is no leaks or signs of oil. Burning at all.

The car has been leaking oil at a rate of 3 quarts in two weeks. It is in now for the 2nd repair in that timeframe. The car lost the ability to accelerate in the middle of the highway twice after the attempted repair.

I was at a complete stop, my foot was pushed down on the brake and it suddenly released from my foot followed by a whooshing sound. My brake system failed, and I had to use my emergency brake to stop my vehicle after I started driving it. I had it towed to a dealership and they diagnosed it as oil leaking from the engine into the brake booster. On 7/15/2015 my check engine light appeared, followed by the entire vehicle shaking uncontrollably. I turned the vehicle off, restated it and though the check engine light still appeared, the car no longer shook, and the check engine light went off a couple hours later. On 7/23/2015 the check engine light reappeared so I took it into the dealership where they are currently trying to diagnose what is wrong with it, but think it has a valve plugged or an engine problem. Both of these incidents occurred after I had an oil change completed on the vehicle.
