Was driving and the engine stalled and cut off w/o warning in traffic due to low oil pressure. 2. 4l engine consuming oil due to scarring of the cylinder walls from the pistons. I was told this by the mechanic at the service center. It was not that long between oil changes when this occurred.

While driving at various speeds, but mainly at lower speeds and while at a stop, the engine will stall and all power is lost to steering and brakes while several warning lights then appear on the dashboard - I have read on chat rooms of hundreds of these occurrences, and most seem to pint to a low oil condition that does not first light the oil light on the dashboard, but some indicate other electrical issues.
Engine stalls, has happened 4 times while driving in past 2 months, vehicle mileage 69,000. Dealership, pocomo in hampton, va. Had vehicle for 5 days and could not duplicate.

The dealer stated that the engine oil might be releasing through the exhaust system and that the 2. 4 liter engine was known to be faulty. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact was concerned that the engine may stall in traffic on the highway. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 43,600.
This is the third time this has happened. The engine will stall randomly while driving. The same issue happened again today. This has happened to a lot of people, but still no recalls. This is extremely dangerous. When the engine stalls, you loose power steering and brakes. This can cause a major accident. Luckily, it's only happened on low rpm. This issue needs to be looked into and fixed.

This is the second time this has happened. The engine will stall randomly while driving. The first time it happened, we had to have it towed to the dealership. They said it was a sensor covered under warranty. Ok good. Well a few days after, the problem happened again. This time they say it's because the oil needed to be changed. The hud showed over 50% oil life left. The same issue happened again a few days ago. The problem seems to resolve after an oil change. I've noticed this has happened to a lot of people, but still no recalls. This is extremely dangerous. When the engine stalls, you loose power steering and brakes. This can cause a major accident. Luckily, it's only happened on surface streets. This issue needs to be looked into and fixed.
"engine stalls out and completely dies". This has happened to me several times already with my six year old in the car. I haven't taken it to the dealership twice already and this will be the third final attempt for repair. I've brought a new battery even after it passed successful testing, and the alternator passed as well. The first time it stopped on me I was on the highway (had the car toll to the nearest autozone for a new battery) had the dealership look at it they stated they could not diagnose the problem since the vehicle was working and could not find anything wrong with the car, 2nd time it stopped two days later on the interstate had the car (this time I had it toll to the dealership) and they put in the work order what I stated did nothing to the engine and only completed the recall on the brakes. The third time it stopped on me while driving was on the highway oct. 2017 had to get a jump and he kept stalling out before it completely stopped this time I contacted Dodge roadside assistance to toll me to the nearest dealership for documentation. I have open a case with Chrysler corporation and feel like I'm getting no where, and the dealership has not even bother to contact me. I'm going through all of this when the car is only 3 years old with 48,000 miles still covered under warranty. All the times I vehicle has stopped on me on dark roads, in traffic, on the instate my daughter has been in the car with me. This car is a danger to me, my, family, and anyone else on the road if I drive this car. For now it continues to be at the dealership while I drive the loaner car they gave me. But I'm still having to make car payments on a vehicle I'm not even driving.
Tl-the contact owns a 2014 Dodge Dart. The contact stated while driving at approximately 60 mph, the engine stalled with warning. After four attempts, the vehicle was able to restart. The failure recurred numerous times. The vehicle was taken to dealer where it was diagnosed that the altinator needed to be repaired. The vehicle was repaired but the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was unknown. Ak.
When starting to slide on ice the anti lock breaks kicked in but the engine stalled for a second and all of the electronic dash went out. No speedometer no stereo nothing was on it seemed but when I let off the brakes and allowed the car to slide again everything came back on.
2013 Dodge Dart . Engine stalls when going slow or stopped at a light. Sometimes it takes a while to start back up. The car is new and I had its oil changed at 5000 miles at the dealership. I took it in the first time it happened and they could not find a issue. I took it in today and they don't seem to be aware of this issue. Engine light came on.
The clutch pedal stuck to the floor preventing me from being able to shift out of gear or disengage the engine from the transmission. Because I am a mechanic I was able to avoid a crash. This is a complex issue and most consumers will freak out if they can not put there vehicle in neutral and the engine stalls from them trying to use the brakes.
