I was driving down the highway at 70 mph and the car stalled shortly after the etc indicator light started flashing next to a "fcw off" and orange triangles appeared in my side view mirrors. The engine light came on, acc off indicator light came on along side with the esc light. It started back up so I took it to firestone for a diagnostic, they said it was some minor electrical issues but the torque converter on the transmission needed to be fixed first and informed me that they didnt do any transmission work. They referred me to a-team transmissions, took it a got a second diagnostic and I was told that it wasn't a transmission problem but suggested it was the abs system. They said they didnt work on it so I took it to a third auto care shop and they said it was the mass air flow sensor. Had it cleaned and the problem still resulted in jerking, losing compression, and occasionally wanting to stall. I couldn't get a straight and I didn't want to pay for anymore diagnostics. Hooked up my obd ii diagnostic system and the only codes I got were p0113, p0300, p0304, and p0340. Parked my car in my back yard and tried to avoid using it until it has been fixed.
When stopping car stalls every so often. Everything stays lit up do not even realize it stalls. Very scary.

When driving the vehicle it will randomly begin to stall when driving and power off. Once you let you sit it will start right back up kind rough and then drive fine. Then couple days later it will do it again. My wife was making a turn when it stalled and almost got t boned. We took it in for the fuel pump recall but no parts have been pushed out for this recall nor have been made. They told. Us to just keep driving it even though its asking g for an accident to happen. I asked for a replacement car and was denied and was told I can take it to another dealer but they said the same thing.
Fuel pump relay switch. Vehicle can stall at anytime while driving, vehicle possibly will not start. Engine light on, cannot use remote start. Called multiple times to over a year after recall notification from Dodge, was told no current fix.

When driving at highway speeds and slowing down to stop or exit the road via off ramp or turn, the vehicle will randomly stall causing brakes and steering to become non-responsive. There is no warning prior to vehicle shutting down. It happens suddenly and randomly. It always appears to be when slowing down to exit a road or take a turn. I have to coast the vehicle until it stops and put it into park or neutral to start it again. It works fine until the next time. It has happened six times in the last month.
The alternator causes my truck to stall at times, and not start at other times, I have gone through two batteries as a result of this. It happened last night while driving, I could tell that it was sluggish, and this morning wouldn't start, then, next thing you know, it starts.
For the past 4 years the car will automatically stop while driving on the freeway and in the street. I have taken the care to the shop and they can not find anything wrong with the car, but the care still stall when driving.
Car has been stalling but then starting right back up for no reason for a couple of years now. Not all the time but when I step on the brakes or make a slight turn.
Today's date is April 10, 2018. Our 2011 Dodge Durango citadel began stalling and the engine shutting off without warning on February 25, 2018. It happened again on April 8th, 2018 and then again on April 9, 2018. Each time it has happened, there is no warning. The first time it happened my wife was making a right hand turn and almost ended up in a head-on collision. The second time it happened, I was making a stop after getting off an exit ramp. And the most recent time, 4/9/18, my wife was driving down a hill and coming to a stop at an intersection. The last two times we have experienced this. The vehicle loses all power, including brakes and power steering, which proves a little challenging if making a turn into traffic. I called Chrysler in the us but because I purchased this vehicle used and was not aware that it was originally shipped and titled in canada, the us company proved not to be helpful. Ultimately, I am very concerned about this due to the potential for serious consequences. I have owned 4-5 Chrysler products (2005 and 2011 Dodge Durangos, 2003 Jeep grand cherokee and 2007 Chrysler aspen. This is the first time with an engine issue and more importantly, poor customver service. I have done research on the internet and it could be anything from the tpim control module, the alternator, the fuel pump relay, etc.
Fuel relay recall -- no problems before replacement, replaced in Dec 2015 and since have had car stall intermittently while driving kids to school 5 times. The three most recent happening at a more frequent basis -- and in last 90 days. I lose total power of the car while driving, it goes into a stall and we have to pull over, let it sit for !10 minutes and it will restart and go. Typically it is when I am slowing down and going into a turn or bigger curve on the road. I have taken back to Dodge to ask them to fix -- diognostics tells them nothing wrong and they will not replaced the already recalled (and replaced) part as they say they cannot confirm it is the cause. Meanwhile, I am driving a car that may stall at anytime even though dealership cannot find on diognostic tests.
The contact owns a 2011 Dodge Durango. The contact stated that while driving at 40 mph, the vehicle stalled and the instrument cluster failed. The vehicle was towed to a local dealer dadel and Dodge Chrysler Jeep ram located at 16501 s dixie hwy miami FL 33157 where it was diagnosed that the alternator needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired however the failure recurred. Upon leaving the dealer the vehicle stalled and was informed to replace the battery. The vehicle was repaired. However the vehicle stalled again. The vehicle was towed to the same dealer where it was informed that the battery and computer board needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and opened case # 32410393 but did not offer further assistance. The vehicle failure mileage was 111,000. The VIN was not available.
Safety issue on my 2011 Dodge Durango. While driving home after work late one night, the Durango started acting up like it was possessed. The lights would go on and off, the wipers went on and wouldn't shut off, seats went back and forth while driving!, radio, heat, ac. I was in traffic and finally managed to move over to a secure location out of harms way no sooner did I pull off the side of the road then the Dodge completely died. I had to coast down a hill. Tried to turn it over and nothing. No lights no radio no nothing. It was dead. Had to have it towed to the dealership. The dealer claimed it was the battery, installed a new one and sent me on my way. Fast forward to less than 2 weeks later- same problem. Driving to drop off my 5 year old and it starts acting up again completely possessed. How is this safe? I made it to work with it going crazy. At lunch, I went to start it and check it out. Dead. Brand new battery dead. 400 bucks down the drain- when that wasn't the problem. Not to mention the 200 bucks to tow. I brought it to a little shop around the corner and they couldn't find the problem and towed it back to the dealer. And there it sits. No one can figure out what is wrong with it over there. It is really pathetic. So now add'l tow charges-$200, no vehicle to get back and forth to work and child's stroke therapists, and had to break down and pay for a rental. What a joke thanks Dodge. They are well aware of the tipm issues and refuse to recall any of their vehicles. This is a huge huge safety issue. Everything just dies. . The engine the brakes don't work nothing.

I have received 3 recalls notifications and only one its taken care off iaw dealer - ferman Dodge in sr54, tampa FL. I received a p60, p45 and p50 or p54 don't have the recall doc with me. The dealer is stalling on getting the parts according to them. But, I bet its a paying customer that comes with same problem and the parts I bet it will appear very quick. On 12. 25. 2014, I was going at 45 mph and suddenly and the speed slowed down and had to pull to the side, turn off the car and start it again, a verify scary moment with family in the car. Its been now 2 months since I mentioned to them the car is suffering of long cranks. Have to play with ignition to get it to start. The car only have 51+k miles and should not have this happen. Need to get this issue resolved or I will keep pushing to the top to get my car fixed.

I have been down a car now for almost two weeks waiting to hear something.
This is the known issue with tipm failure, the car just stalled and lost all power and would not start back up. The engine would turn just fine when starting but would not start. Had it towed to my regular mechanic and he let me know today that it is the tipm which is currently unavailable with long wait times.
The 2011 Dodge Durango started having issues with failed starts. It would take multiple instances to get vehicle to start. Sometimes the the fuel pump would continue to pump even though engine was stopped. This causes a very smoky burning smell coming from exhaust and engine. Took car to dealership and they report the issue is a faulty tipm module. The part is on back order but vehicle is unsafe due to potential issues with stalling while running. Repairs estimated at $1200.
We attempted to start our vehicle, but the engine would not start. After several minutes vehicle started but stuttered, as if their was no fuel going to the engine. There had been no engine or service lights at the time. I researched the issue online and found that many Durango and cherokee owners have experienced similar issues, and the cause was the tipim. I took my vehicle to the dealership and they tested it, and found it was a problem with the tipim, which was failing to engage the fuel pump. Luckily our car was parked at the time the problem started. My wife generally drives this vehicle with my two small children. Our warranty ended at 36000 miles, so it was not covered. My options were to replace the tipim for 1200 dollars, or pay 428 dollars to have an external relay installed to bypass the faulty tipim (Chrysler star case #s1308000399). We chose to have the bypass installed. Vehicle is running fine at this point, but we are worried other issues (air bags deployed etc) will be a future problem.
The problem first manifested itself in an occasional difficulty starting the vehicle, typically after it sat overnight. Upon pressing the start button the starter would engage but the engine would not start. Pressing the start button again to stop the cranking and then re-pressing the button would get the engine to start. Weeks would sometimes go by without the problem recurring. Around the middle of July 2014 the problem started to get much worse, the car sometimes not starting multiple times during the day even after short stops. Around the end of July my wife had the problem happen to her, got the vehicle started, but as she backed out of a parking spot the vehicle stalled in the traffic lane. After that incident I took the vehicle to a Dodge dealership where they "cleared several fault codes" and sent me on my way. Three days later the vehicle once again wouldn't start, but the "reset and repress" tactic would work and the vehicle would run. Around August 7 2014 the problem got much worse. The vehicle took multiple attempts and 1-2 minutes to get running on several mornings, now though the vehicle would stall once started and before moving. Once running, in gear, and moving the car would run fine. Car failed to start then each morning Aug 15-17, taking 1-2 minutes each morning and multiple stalls. On afternoon of August 17, 5 minutes after making a dealer apt for next morning, I was driving at about 10 miles per hour and the engine died completely, power steering and brakes went out as well. Only after 3 minutes did finally using the remote start function on the key fob get the vehicle to start and run, this on a very busy roadway blocking a lane of traffic. Next day vehicle would not start at the dealer either, they diagnosed a bad tipm module and offered me a new module for $1200 or a "relay kit" for $587. New module cured problem for now.
