My Durango has stalled numerous times. The recall for the fuel pump relay recall has been performed and replaced and two new relays have been installed. The last relay lasted two months and failed completely yesterday. My car has been towed to a dealership. There is an open recall on this issue with no timeline for a fix. I was lucky enough yesterday to get the car to a parking space instead of pulling into traffic on a busy road before it died.
I was informed by the dealership that the fuel pump relay got too hot and caused the car to fail. How does a person know when or if this is going to happen and is this not a huge safety issue?.
Car doesn't start.

Satellite radio/cd player sounds goes in and out, regular fm/am does not work and this is the second time getting it fixed.
My 2012 Dodge Durango has lost all power while I have been driving it. Today is the 4th time this has happened in about 2 months. I have been driving and without any warning the car stops running and all electrical is gone, my dash is blank. I was almost in an accident today. I pulled out on a busy street and lost all power. I was able to stop in the middle turn lane and put it in neutral. It is very scary each time it happens without warning!!! this issue must be addressed and fixed. My safety and my family's safety is at stake! I am afraid and won't drive it on the interstate. This engine failure has happened 4 times in the last couple of months. This sounds like manufacturer recall # v62, NHTSA recall # 19v-813 with the stall condition while driving the vehicle. A fuel pump relay failure.

2012 Dodge Durango has history of starting and stalling problem. While vehicle was under warranty, it would stall right after you start it. The dealer performed fuel pump relay recall, and problem was not fixed. The next dealer remove the external fuel pump relay and replaced tipm, problem was still not fixed. Dealer then re-completed the fuel pump relay recall, problem still not fix. Now the vehicle is stalling while driving down the road and seems to happen when you turn the steering wheel. There is a recall for this issue (t36) but Dodge is saying that my vehicle does not qualify for that recall. This is a very dangerous issue and is can/will lead to a vehicle accident when we can't control the vehicle going down the highway as it keeps shutting off.
I started my truck up the engine light brake light and power steering light all came on at the same time, then my power steering went out and my dash started to blink in and out.
Engine shuts off while driving without any warning. Will restart. Dangerous can cause crash. Has been previously recalled for this problem and the repair doesn't solve issue.
I purchased my 2012 Dodge Durango two years ago and it has been one of the most stressful issues I have ever hadz. Two days after purchasing it all the lights lit up my dash board the head lights wouldn’t go on the heater or air wouldn’t work and my windows in front would not roll down. This usually happens when I start it in the morning but it also will happen when I’m driving I almost got into a accident on the hwy at 530 in the morning coming to work when my head light just shut off. It has been back to the deal shop I bought it 3 Dodge dealer ships and my personal mechanic and they can not find out what the issue is. Over the past two years it has been in the shop bout 10-15 times it has been parked more than I have been able to drive it. I am in a loan I can not get out of.
When I drive at times truck cuts off but starts right back up and I proceed like nothing never happen. . . . And another problem I'm having I will drive normal and it seems like it goes in another gear . So I took it to autozone it's a code p0733.
The 2012 Durango will randomly stall put driving down the road. When it does so I loose power to everything including power steering which is a very dangerous situation. I have had this happen multiple times now and seems to be getting worse. I will no longer be driving the car but can not afford the $300 diagnosis fee from Dodge.
While I was driving in the street I saw some white smoke coming out from the hood I parked and open the hood and notice that in back of the engine there was a fire. Luckily I caught on time and I was able to stop it but some of the wires got all burned up.
While driving down a 2 lane highway the vehicle lost power and once pulled over on the shoulder we noticed a funny smell and flames coming under the hood. The car burned up and its totalled. Luckily noone is hurt.
Vehicle cuts off while driving or want start at all without a jump off check engine light is on.
Car shuts of suddenly at any speed, it can be restarted while in neutral. However it wont go back into gear even though it lets me put it in drive. When this happens it's very dangerous as all of the cars functions go dead power steering lights gauges, door locks windshield wipers. It causes a very unsafe situation especially at high speeds on the highway because I can't always get over to a safe lane to pull the car over to restart and reengage the transmission. Dodge needs to fix this free of charge to the customer.
Tipm is malfunctioning causing the vehicle to stall while at highway speeds. All emergency warning lights come on and gauges will not function. Dodge says that they do not have a recall on the his item even though they do admit that it has become a major problem. It is not safe to be driving with such a malfunctioning part.

This is the 3rd time in the past 3 months I've been taking this vehicle to service for different service issues. The most recent one is the dash and whipers started going crazy, a sudden smell of burnt wires/electric burn. The vehicle shut down while in motion locking the steering wheel and the gear shifter didn't want to engage. I tried starting the vehicle but it wouldn't start. The vehicle is not comunicating with the starting key. The vehicle got towed to the deelsrship and after two days they called me back saying that the vehicle is not comunicating with the tipm (totally integrated power module) therefor the can't make a diagnosis. They will have to check each wire one by one abd that check up is going to cost 4 hours of work at a cost of approximately $400 before they can run a diagnosis.
