Takata air bag light's appeared on when we purchase the vehicle. We searched the manual to see if there was a reason why the lights would be on. Months later we received in the mail a recall for the inflator air bag on driver and passenger. I dropped vehicle off for service were I was referred to Dodge/Jeep/Chrysler and was told I would receive vehicle before the end of day picked vehicle up next day. Drove of lot the light was off. Few days later the light on passenger side comes on and off. I have contacted place were I had airbags replaced and have not gotten a call back to take it back to be serviced. The the air bag light comes on when you hit the brakes and driving always stays on.

Takata recall. The driver airbag inflator repair and replacement has taken too long to replace. This is disgraceful and despicable. I am in fear and danger of my life. I am considering legal action if this continues to be unresolved.

I called autonation Chrysler Dodge in centennial colorado where I purchased my vehicle and they refused to fix my safety recall for a driver airbag inflator. They told me they didn't have time and I would have to leave my vehicle for days until they got around to it because their dealership isn't "a doctor's office!" I am appalled. I am pregnant and have a 4 year old daughter in this vehicle everyday. I can't just leave my car until they get around to it. Please help.

Passenger airbag inflator housing in my vehicle may rupture ,fca us llc os conducting a safety recall registerd in florida. I being calling to schedule a service appointment since June 1915 but they did not order the parts for repair the vehicle. Thank very much.
Takata inflators-I have repeatedly contacted the local dealership about the recall & I have been told each time the parts to correct the problem are on backorder & they have no time estimate for the parts to be available. My 1st call to the dealer was 6/22/2015 & I was told it would be 3-4 weeks for the parts to arrive. I called again on 7/24 & was told the parts were still on backorder & there was no time estimate for parts availability. I called again today & still the same message. 6 months seems a bit long to wait for a recall item.

2006 Dodge Durango. Consumer writes in regards to replacement parts not available to complete driver airbag inflator recall notice. Consumer has previous correspondence on another vehicle in artemis.
I received two safety recall notices from Chrysler for my vehicle - recall notices are p40/NHTSA 14v-354 and p78/NHTSA 14v-770, both dealing with an apparent defect to the airbag inflators. We have now checked with three Dodge dealers in the greater san antonio area to get this safety recall handled. Every dealer has indicated they do not have the parts in stock, Chrysler has not released the parts and/or Chrysler will not allow the dealers to special order the parts. This has been ongoing for several months. Therefore, I am filing a complaint at this time. It seems to lack common sense for a vehicle manufacturer to issue a safety recall notice, then fail to provide the parts required to address the safety defect. Please advise what action, if any, can be taken to remedy this issue.
