I was driving my Durango and my driver side seat belt kept beeping then the air bag light came on then my check engine light came on and now I'm hearing a thump under the car all of this happened while my family was in the car on the highway I also tried driving up to 70 mph and the steering wheel had this heavy shake I was terrified can you help me fix my 2012 Dodge Durango .

Service airbags notification keeps coming on. Scheduled to take it to dealer. Found out service recall has been made for airbags on Jeep cherokee but not 2014 Dodge Durango. Why not if the same problem is occurring with the Dodge Durango those. This should be included in the recall. My vehicle only has 90000 miles on it should not have airbag issues. Airbag light would come on as soon as I start to car then would go off then my service alarm for airbag would come on and stay on. Now service light for airbags come on immediately after starting the car and will not go off.

Airbag light and service airbag system warning constantly on. Airbag system deactivated. Very dsngerous if collison were to hsporn. Told my VIN is not included in recall p67, which is the issue I am having. The contact took the vehicle back to the dealer who stated that there was no failure with the air bags. On one occasion, while driving, the air bags deployed without warning or impact. The deployment injured the contact's left ear, which required hospitalization. A police report was filed. The vehicle was able to be driven to a friend's house. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 174,000.

Dealer stated that my wiring harness has a short which caused the airbag to fail. Became aware of this when the check airbag light illuminated constantly. This is exactly the subject of a NHTSA recall: 14v643000 apparently, my VIN is not included in this range of vins though I was diagnosed with the same issue.

Takata recall I was driving around all day and everything was fine, after I stopped at a shop and returned to my vehicle my airbag light on my dash came on, I immediately looked up any active recalls and discovered that there were 2 on my vehicle according to the VIN. Upon taking the vehicle into the dealership for the recall repair the dealership repaired the 2 recalls, however the airbag light remained on. When I asked the dealership about this they claim it is a separate issue and wanted to charge me $150 just to diagnose the issue. They released the vehicle to me, still with the airbag light on. When confronted in regards to the light being on the dealership had no concern about the light unless I paid $$$. Being a recall with the airbags I would think that the light remaining on and repairing what has triggered the light to be covered under this repair.

Air bag light stays �on � on dashboard, had to take to service station to get it checked out , they told me to check if there were any recalls for this issue . Also the check engine light stays on , code is for evap leak , changed the gas cap , checked hoses , light remains after being cleared.

Prior to the recall repair being performed, the air bag warning indicator illuminated and remained lit after the remedy was performed. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure mileage was 146,000.

Takata recall. I had the passenger side airbags repaired on 3/2/18 at glenn thomas in signal hill, CA. On this day after I was informed the job for the air bag repair was completed. I signed the papers ,and I drove off the lot. I immediately noticed that the airbag indicator light was on the my dash. I was only 10 minutes away, so I immediately called the service advisor and left a voice message. But I went ahead and drove back to the dealership so they could see that the light was on. I brought the car back in and the service advisor put the diagnostics tool on the car and it gave him a printout of possible issues. He then had a technician look at the car. I waited in the customer waiting room. Within 30 minutes, the advisor came into the waiting area and told me it was the seat tracking sensor ? (I may have the correct wording incorecct) . I was then quoted a repair price of $270 for one seat (driver's side). I was told they only have 1 part in stock at the time and that it would be 3 hours to repair. I did not have the time to wait for this repair nor did I have the $270 for the repair. I then asked can the car be driven with the airbag indicator light on, and I was told yes, but the airbags may not work properly if involved in a accident (crash). My question. . . Is if this seat tracking sensor is important to the functionality of the air bags why is this not covered under the takata airbag recall. And why is it not free to the customer. I should not have to pay for this repair if there is a open active recall and this repair for the seat tracking is directly related to the airbags. I would appreciate it if this can be looked into further. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact that the VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number:14v643000 (seat belts, air bags) and referred the contact to NHTSA. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000. The VIN was not available. Tw.

At less than 73,000 miles on vehicle and just six years old the air bag light will go off and on. The light will blink on and off at all times then will go off for weeks then come back on and stay on. This is a safety issue that must get fixed by manufacturer.

Airbag light is on. Just had the same problem and had to spend a lot of money to replace the module in the 2014 Jeep cherokee. Seems fishy. Are we sure there isn't a recall?????.

Since approximately 32,000 miles the airbag light has illuminated randomly. After 48,000 miles, the light turns on almost immediately after starting and will stay on and ding randomly during the drive.

Takata recall. I recently had the second recall done on my truck and was told that they could not get the air bag light to go out. From what the service tech told me is that it is happening to alot of the cars that come in for this recall. This causes me a huge issue as now I am without a vehicle because I cannot get a passing inspection sticker.

Takata recall. No parts ever available and airbag light is on. What if someone dies because of this and it could have been prevented? this recall started well over a year ago and still no parts for this major safety issue. Many people have died because of this. Manufacturers should be held to some standard when a safety issue of this magnitude is found, and a very tight schedule for repair be maintained. If anything happens to me or my family because of this issue, I won't stop until I own Chrysler/fiat as well as making sure NHTSA is found guilty of negligence for allowing this to go on as long as it has.

The airbag light will frequently illuminate and disable seat belt tensioners and airbag function. Same thing that is under recall with other Durango vehicles (recall p67). Dodge claims my specific vehicle is unaffected and not under recall but I find it hard to believe since the exact same issue is occurring. Any grand cherokee model made the same day as my vehicle, or the exact same Durango if manufactored two months later, is covered under the recall, but they claim my Durango is not. The grand cherokee using the identical module in their vehicle. Part to be faulty has been found to be the orc module (occupant restraint control) by a local shop, same problem as similar recalls yet they claim mine is not a part of. With current situation, driving the vehicle safely is non existent until repaired. Airbag and seatbelt malfunction would lead to serious injury if an accident were to occur.
