Car stalls at stop light. No reason. Car started shifting into all wheel drive by itself. I could hear it shifting as I opened driver door, and car was not on. Did not know what the noise was. Car sounded like it was grinding the gears when moved into drive. Towed to shop. Transmission guy could not figure out why it changed all by itself. Cargo lamp is one if I open rear hatch. It will only go off if I close the hatch twice. Now airbag light is on, since new battery was replaced.

The car stalls alot whenever you're at a light or going slow speeds. Will turn off and needs to be turned on. The ignition locks and the key wont turn when trying to turn the car on. The airbag light is constantly blinking when the driver seat belt is not on. When the seatbelt is on, the airbag light is permanently on. This morning the front passenger tire area make a loud clunk when I turned left. Shortly after as I was going about 35 mph it felt as if I had a flat tire so I pulled over. Turns out the entire ball joint had broken and the front passenger tire had fallen to the side.

Customer care is unable to have repairs done because there is no dealership on island maui. Said if I pay cost to get car to honolulu then they would be able to open a new file on my car. Having an older recalled vehicle in a humid hot environment makes our situation much more dangerous then most with defected airbags. I would like to have them do a buy back. 3 grandchildren in carseats and a my legally blind husband. A long with my 12 year old son and self only have this vehicle. Airbag light comes on frequently indicating a possible death trap scenario. Dodge does not care by my dismissed claim file . I am on fixed social security income and will never have funds to transport car inter island or trust in a mechanic whose work on the vehicle will not be guaranteed. Please investigate and see if a buyback or replacement seems necessary to protect our lives. My contact number is 1-808-276-4128. I don't think they have a basis to erase my filing until I have financial ability to pay surrounding costs for replacing or repairing this vehicle at their cost. Sophie mataafa.

The vehicle air bag light keeps coming on and throwing a code so the vehicle can not get an inspection sticker. The code is for the clock spring with electronic stabiltiy control. This part is not available and is back ordered per the dealer. Called Dodge and got a lot of I don't know with no resolution . This part is a $900 part you would think they would have an answer as to when it would be available. They should supply an extended waranty on this part seeing as every Durango seems to have this problem. No airbag would deploy without this part.

While operating the vehicle I noticed the airbag light had come on for no reason. I remembered the notification to contact someone about this recall. I was only a few minutes from home so nothing serious happened. Also, two days prior to driving it today I had it parked at my moms while we drove out of town, so maybe the excessive heat had something to do with it.

The air bag light goes off and on and also dings. . . Very annoying. I see other complaints regarding this issue. Should be a recall!!!! I have only owned the vehicle 2 month and have had to replace the cluth fan on the a/c and the visor recall. . Not happy with Dodge so far. Wish I would have kept my GMC, I had no problems.

My airbag light has been illuminating and when I did a recall search an airbag recall did come up but there is no fix? also when I fill the gas tank I get major splash back. Huge fire issue. I know there was a recall on some 2005 Dodge Durangos for that problem but the dealer said my VIN was not included and wouldn't fix it. How can I get my VIN included? another issue is the engine light comes on and reads code p0456(very small emissions leak). . But the emissions system has been gone over and gone over but there is nothing that would indicate a leak.
Air bag light goes off and on with warning sound. R.
My airbag light kept flashing on and off then came on and has been on every since the seatbelt light doesnt work- and was told the airbag wont work in a crash until I get the part fixed and they are asking alot to fix it at dealership was wondering if it was on recall? anyone else having issues? only on my passenger side-.
The air bag light for both the passenger and driver side of the vehicle come on and off during driving.

The airbag light for the front drivers and passenger airbags was intermittently turning on and off. We took the vehicle to a Dodge dealership for service on August 20, yet the light wasn't on at the time and we were told they would not be able to diagnose the problem unless the light was on. The airbag light has been on consistently over the past month, took it into the same Dodge dealership service department, they said "confirmed air bag light on for b1c29 left side seat thorax squib circuit open. Performed wire repairs to left air bag wire jumper harness between r5 and r7. " we were billed $299. 50 for repairs. The vehicle is a 2012 model and we feel this shouldn't have been an issue with the vehicle being 2 years old.
While driving my vehicle at 45mph the airbag light came on and stayed on for several weeks. I talked to Dodge dealer and they said that they have had a couple of complaints about it, but there are no safety recalls or TSB's on this issue. It went off on its own and stayed off for about a month. Same speed different time of year, the airbag light came on and this time blinked and then came on solid intermittently for about another two weeks. Called Dodge again and they said there was still no recall or TSB for this issue. It is now September and it has once again decided that the airbag light wants to come on and stay solid. Had a service appointment with Dodge and they said that they would have to charge me for a diagnosis.
