Front Seat Belt Anchorage Problems of Dodge Durango

While driving 47 mph the vehicle was involved in a front end collision. The drivers side seat belt became detached from its retractor which resulted in the driver being injured.

Consumer states was wearing driver's seat belt when involved in a hit and run collision. Consumer states seat belt failed to restrain and driver was thrown through the front windshield. Consumer advised just received recall 01v119000 in mail regarding seat belts. Nlm.

Driver seat belt doesn't always fasten.

With regard to the rear seat belts. It is my understanding that as of 2000 all vehicles seat belts must be able to be used without the "h clip" when securing a child safety seat. On my Durango I can not figure out how the seat belt works without the use of the "h clip". I even had an engineer friend of mine who works with gm safety restrants systems take a look at it and he could not figure it out either. I am looking for some help as well as how this vehicle passed the inspection. Thank you!!!.

Gen three seatbelts are in this vehicle. They need replaced to gen 4.

I have the gen3 seatbelts and Chrysler refuses to recall these vehicles.

Seatbelt are defective and prone to unlatching improperly.
