Front seat belts don't release on my 2003 Dodge Durango. When seatbelts are worn and engaged the locking device won't disengage. I have to giggle, rattle and pull on the mechanism for the seatbelt to unlock. The defect has been occuring for months and is continous. The problem has not been corrected.
There has been no incident yet, but the driver side seat belt is coming apart and is so twisted as to be unsafe. The red button in the center of the buckle is coming out of the casing. I am concerned for my family's safety.

Almost every time I go to put my children in their car-seats the safety belts have been released from the children wiggling to get into their car-seats. We make a big issue of our children being properly installed intheir car-seats. We have read all the user manuals and even taken classes to insure we are installing them properly. None of this does us any good when the seat-belts release so easily. I have problems with this almost daily. Will it take one of my family being injured or even killed before there will be something done. This has happend more times than I could even count.
The vehicle was involved in a rollover collision. Both front driver and passenger safety belts did not lock or retract, resulting in occupants sustaining serious injuries.

My 2yr old daughter was seatbelted in middle seat in a car seat. When I had the wreck, the seatbelt that was holding the carseat came unbuckled. My mother was sitting back there, and she caught my daughter. The third seat in the Durango had bent all the way up to the middle seat. I am also having a hard time getting my insurance to replace any seatbelts or the carseat. What can I do?.
