Dodge customer care hotline claims both of my vehicles (VIN 1b4hs48n82f161343 and 1b4hs38n82f183241) are not covered by this recall. Both of my vehicles exhibit same conditions described in recall notification. Recall id # 69542 - power train:automatic transmission:lever and linkage:column shift-- recall date: Dec 04, 2007-- model affected: 2002 Dodge Durango summary: vehicles equipped with automatic transmissions, the ignition/park shift interlock system may become inoperative. This can allow the shifter to be moved out of the "park" position with the ignition key removed (or in the "lock" position). This can also allow the ignition key to be removed when the shifter has not been placed in the "park" position. Consequences: either of these conditions could allow the vehicle to roll away causing a crash without warning.
