1. My fuel tank will not fill up all the way and will stop at each fill up. I have to manually keep trying to pump the fuel. Almost always I can never fill fully up. This is a known issue and needs to be resolved. 2. I also have an issue with my racetrack tail light with condensation and water getting inside. I have a faulty light as I have had my dealer check for cracks or openings. 3. Auto start on/off jerky and sometimes does not start on time and will jolt forward when trying to accerate at stop light.

Fuel splashes out of the filler neck when fuel tank is filled.

The fuel tank inlet check valve is not working properly causing fuel to not go in the tank and spill out as if its full when its not. The underlying issue is that its only listing a recall on 2005 models when all vehicle affected should be added. This is a manufacturing issue and no owners should have to pay for their mistake.

Gas continues to pump after the tank is full and spill out and all down the side of the Durango until I shut it off. The handles doesn't always click off on its own. Service air bag sensor keeps coming on and off. Dealer doesn't know anything about either problem.

When I get gas it doesn't matter if I have a little gas or half a tank my gas as I'm pumping always comes out and backfires at me . . . . It just starts spitting out at me for no reason. . . Even when I'm empty and I start pumping gas it happens after about 10 seconds of pumping gas it just decides to come back at me. . So I'm wasting gas all the time it happens about every fourth time I get gas. . . .

Whenever I pump gas recently the gas pump never shuts off and just spills gas everywhere until I click the handle. I took it to the dealer and they said they never heard of that. I went ahead and had them check it out. About $2000 later and a new gas tank and fuel filler neck the problem was solved. How this was never recalled I don't know. I had gas pouring out everywhere before it was fixed!.

Gas gushes out of the fill tube when the tank becomes full. It doesn't seem to matter how fast or slow the tank is filled. When full, the automatic nozzle does shut off but only after gas has spurted out and runs down the fender. I need to emphasize that this is an ongoing problem that happens over and over again. Tl- the contact owns a 2005 Dodge Durango fuel escapes from the fuel filler neck fuel spills unto the person refueling possible faulty fuel tank the contact stated that while refueling fuel would escape from the fuel filler neck and spill onto the person while refueling. The cause of failure was not determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that the vehicle was previously serviced in August 2013 under the NHTSA recall campaign number 5v034000(fuel system) for the same failure. The local dealer was not notified. The failure mileage was 150,000. Jft.

Every time the fuel tank is filled to 3/4 or more there is always a back splash of about 2-3 cups of fuel. If engine has been running long could run down side of vehicle and ignite on hot exhaust pipes.

While I am pumping gas it starts to come back out and it's spits out . Even when I pull the gas pump out to stop the gas it still continues to spit the gas. This happens no matter if I am empty or if I have some gas in my tank.

Every time I go to fill the tank while the car is in park at a gas station the pump will stop cause the truck is full and then the truck will spit fuel back out.

Tl the contact owns a 2006 Dodge Durango. While the contact was pumping fuel into the vehicle, the fuel sensor on the tank did not work. As a result, fuel overflowed from the fuel tank opening. The contact stated that the failure began on approximately June 15, 2018. The manufacturer and dealer were not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 190,000.

When you fill the tank up, at least a gallon or more of fuel spits back out and runs onto the ground with no way to clean the gas up.

This specific model I'm currently leasing is a limited model. I've had it for maybe 3 years. According to the manual, were only to use e85 fuel so that it could run smoothly. Unfortunately, not many gas stations where I live carry that specific gas type and not many gas stations in florida and other states alone, provide e85 fuel we are given no choice but to use the alternative gas. It's becoming a nuisance when we want to travel. When the check engine light first appeared the gas gauge also stopped functioning. The truck isn't able to reach a full tank. Something is preventing it. This is becoming an inconvenience for me and my family to have to search and go to just 2 gas stations miles apart from each other to be able to put gas in! majority of the times the gas stations that do offer this type of gas are down due to maintenance. Since I've been puttting in the alternative fuel which is the 87, the truck isn't functioning properly and now I'm starting to have all sorts of problem with my truck. It's a headache. I really love my truck and don't want to get rid of it. I had a mechanic check it out and was told that my my fuel injector and fuel sensor need to be replaced. The costs are expensive and I don't think it's fair.

Most pumps do not work only costco cannot fill the tank with more than $1 - $2 worth of gas without the pump clicking off. I have tried several gas stations and I have the same problem everywhere. I have to hold the nozzle almost upside down in order to pump gas. I have only had the car 2 months and I am ready to get rid of it solely because of this problem.

Fuel shoots out of the filler everytime fuel is added. About 20 gallons into the 27 tank is when this happens. It's not once or twice, but everytime I fill up.

Fuel is sprayed on the vehicle, floor, person's upper and lower body while refueling. The vehicle is turned off, in park, at the gas station. The fuel spray occurs every time the fuel tank is filled near full. Followed with a strong fuel odor inside the cabin that lasts for about an hour. The problem started around 2010.

Every time I put gas in the tank it spills out at the end of refueling all over the car and ground.

I just purchased a 2007 Dodge Durango and noticed that every time I fill up the truck at a gas station, instead of the gas pump automatically shutting off once the gas tank was full, gas would spit/back out of the nozzle area and run down the side of the truck. I at first thought it might have been the gas station, but it has occurred three more times at different gas stations. Needless to say, this is very dangerous and apparently, this is a very common problem with other Dodge owners. I called the dealership and they said that because I purchased the extended warranty, I'm responsible for the deductible. This problem should have been a recall on Dodge behalf. I'm afraid that because I have to wait to come up with the deductible, a more serious accident could occur in the meantime. Cannot fill fuel tank properly. Without messing with how far to put fuel nozzle in or flip entirely upside down. It will not fill the fuel tank. It has been happening for the 22000 miles I have owned this brand new Durango. But today I have had enough.

When attempting to re-fuel, immediate backflow/discharge of fuel causing hazard. This occurs even when fuel tank is below 1/4 tank level. Re-fueling must be done at a very slow rate to reduce number of backlow discharges that occur during a single re-fueling session.

I have had the same issue with my Dodge for 2 plus year. I will go to fill up my gas tank and after a few minutes gas starts flowing back out of the tank. I have taken it to the dealership three times for repair. The first two times they have told me they replaced sensors, well it has happened again. Now they are telling me they have to replace the entire fuel system, tank and all. They have stated that my car is unsafe to drive and the dealer will not give it back to me to drive because it is completely contaminated and the entire canister needs to be replaced . They are waiting on the part to come in but that will not be till mid July because they have 4200 on backorder. This is clearly a major issue with Dodge Durango and no one at the dealership or Chrysler is trying to help fix this issue. It needs to be looked at! while driving I would have a large smell of gas in my car and it would just cut off and not start back up.

Tl- the contact owns a 2017 Dodge Durango. The contact stated that while attempting to refuel the fuel would not properly enter the fuel tank causing the fuel nozzle to continuously shut off. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer suburban Dodge/Chrysler located at 32850 Ford rd. Garden city, mi. Who indicated that the part(unknown) needed to repair the vehicle was on back order. No further information was available. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 2000. Jft.

1. Air bag continuously pops up whenever driving, I have received multiple emails from westgate and taken to them with no repair. Recent accident airbag did not work. 2. I am unable to open gas tank from inside, I literally have to get out go to back of truck and pull a lever, I found out how to do this by another owner who did it on youtube. I almost got hit by car twice. 3. I was in a car accident where I ran into a Mini mall, I pulled up and parked then the car just took off on own, it happen so fast and only thing I our police could think was I pushed wrong peddle but I did not, I did take to westgate for repairs, there was a recall and was never reimbursed for $500 deductible or pain/suffering.

I have read Dodge is aware of this issue, and no one has done anything to protect the consumer. The gas tank does not fill and spits fuel out when about 2/3 full. Also the tank is collapsing do to the pressure that builds up. This is a big safety concern that needs some kind of action taken. People need to stop turning their heads away from these problems. I have taken this to a mechanic who has stated this is a real concern. We researched this to find out no one is owning up to a poor design. And a major safety issue. Not sure why, just have no words. Dodge needs to step up and take care of this. I am currently looking into how to file a class action suit. Since everyone denies there is a problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can not fill the gas tank,fuel starts to come out of neck about2/3 full this has been an on going problem.

Vehicle was being filled when at gasoline starting pouring from in front of the left rear wheel. The problem ceased when the fuel tank level reached 3/4. The dealer advised that the problem was due to the fuel filler neck becoming separated and the failure of the clamps. The dealer replaced the fuel filler tube p/n 68243686ag.

The contact owns a 2005 Dodge Durango. The contact stated that the check engine indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that there was an emissions leak and the fuel tank needed to be replaced. The vehicle was taken to mt. Ephraim Chrysler Dodge ram (620 n black horse pike, mt ephraim, NJ 08059 (856) 931-2000) where it was diagnosed that there was a very small evaporative emission system leak. The dealer stated that the vehicle needed a new o-ring, lock ring, and the fuel tank needed to be replaced. The contact referenced NHTSA campaign number: 09v003000 (fuel system, gasoline) and stated that the vehicle was previously repaired twice; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 112,680.

Every time I fill my tank, fuel burps back out and spills all over the side of the SUV and on the ground. I called Dodge, and they said the recall for this was already performed, and that repairing it will cost me around $900! if a recall, has been fixed, and still the problem persists, then the recall should be re-performed!.

After fueling, when tank is full, it will begin dumping (spitting) fuel from gas filler tube. Vehile is turned off and stationary when this occurs. This occurs at every fill up.

There is a noise coming from the fuel tank (right side second row) I had taken the car to the dealership and they stays that there is no noise, they had brought another Dodge Durango with the same fuel tank and that particular vehicle did not make the noise as mine does.

Gas tank spits fuel back out and over flows no detect automatically when close to full no warnings given , transfer case malfunction dropped out of gear while driving down the road and refused to go back into any gear.

Fuel tank overflows every time when fueling. I try to pump as slowly as possible but fuel still runs down side of truck when about 3/4 full every single fill-up. Last happened previous Saturday. This has been occurring last 15,000 miles. Local dealer claims nothing is wrong.
