Customer satisfaction notification t23 (TSB 18-031-17). Under this t23 a pcm software flash and a replacement egr valve assembly were required. My dealer only did the software flash and my car now threw out an active po401 (egr flow insufficient detected"). Which is a direct result of the failed software update and the physical damage caused by this known issue. Dealer is refusing the repair along with the manufacturer.

The vehicle fails to start reliably. I have made all the necessary repairs in an attempt to have the car to start reliably. I have replaced items that the average owner would think are normal wear-and-tear items around the starting system. I have also replaced items that the average owner would not think would wear out and need replacing. All of this work was done out of pocket. A warranty or recall covered none of the work. Yet the car still does not start reliably. I believe this is a safety issue because it could lead to the vehicle losing power on the road and leaving occupants stranded. This is not a normal issue. This must be a manufacturer's issue. Producing and selling a vehicle that has known electrical and fueling problems. Also, Dodge, the manufacture clames the zf 850re-based 8-speed automatic has fluid for the life of the vehicle. Dodge claims that the transmission fluid in this transmission does not need to be changed and/or serviced. My fuel pump went out without codes. My car stalled out on a highway while I was going 65 miles an hour with my baby in my car , and would not crank back up or go into neutral . No , it has not been to dealer it is broke down and I had to have it towed home. My husband is a mechanic and has thoroughly inspected all components, the fuel pump went out . No. This is a common problem in 2021 Dodges and challengers . This is very dangerous for drivers on the highway . This issue should be fixed .

Vehicle: 2006 Dodge Durango VIN: [xxx] issue type: fuel system / safety hazard description: during refueling, the vehicle repeatedly shuts the pump off and then sprays gasoline back out of the filler neck, creating a fire and injury hazard. This is a known defect covered under Dodge customer satisfaction notification x39, which extends warranty coverage for the inlet check valve / orvr failure on 2006–2008 Durango models. The symptoms match the documented defect exactly: pump shutoff, fuel expulsion, and fuel spray. This occurs at multiple stations and with different pumps. Stellantis customer service and local dealers have been unresponsive and will not acknowledge x39 unless forced. The defect poses a clear safety risk to me and others nearby during refueling. I am requesting NHTSA involvement to ensure stellantis honors the x39 warranty extension and addresses this fuel system hazard. I am submitting this complaint regarding a serious safety?related failure involving the totally integrated power module (tipm) in my 2017 Dodge Durango. Although my vehicle is not included in the 2011–2013 recall window for safety notice r0 / NHTSA 14v?115, it experienced the same dangerous malfunction described in that recall. The tipm failed without warning and caused a catastrophic failure of the fuel pump. As a result, the vehicle would crank but would not start, leaving my wife stranded and requiring a tow to an automotive repair facility. The repair shop confirmed that the tipm malfunction caused the fuel pump to fail internally and come apart inside the fuel tank. The tipm installed in the vehicle is part number p68251629ac a, vendor code 16238da, with an additional number of 16317g. The tipm was not inspected anyone other than the repair facility and there were no warning lights or codes prior the failure. The quoted cost for parts and labor to correct this safety?related defect is $2,100. Fca has refused to cover the repair because my vehicle falls outside the recall years, despite the failure matching the symptoms and safety risks identified in NHTSA campaign 14v?115. Given the severity of the failure, the safety risk posed to my family, and the clear similarity to the known tipm defect, I am requesting NHTSA’s assistance in reviewing this incident, determining whether the recall should be expanded to include additional model years, and supporting my request for fca to cover the full cost of repairs or reimburse me for the necessary corrective work. This failure created a hazardous situation and resulted in significant financial burden for a defect consistent with an already?recognized safety issue. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate this matter and take appropriate action.

My vehicle constantly stalls at idle or while stopped at a traffic light or stop sign. I was so bothersome is that the vehicle rolls back during these endeavors. It usually happens 3 or 4 times a day. I've taken in to the dealer for the recall they replaced the recall parts, but it still continues to stall. It's more frustrating when I'm at a stoplight and I have people behind me honking because the vehicle rolls back as it stalls.

After purchasing a used 2023 Dodge Durango gt, issues arose almost immediately following delivery. I took the vehicle to a Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/ram (cjdr) dealership for inspection and service. Diagnostic scans revealed multiple stored and active fault codes, including but not limited u0415 / u0401 – implausible or invalid data received from abs / ecm / pcm b195f-12 – power liftgate chime control circuit short to battery b15a1-00 – active electrical fault multiple body control, module communication, and liftgate-related fault codes the vehicle experienced intermittent starting failures, creating safety concerns including: potential inability to move the vehicle when needed, including in traffic risk of being stranded in unsafe locations uncertainty regarding whether the vehicle would reliably restart after being shut off the vehicle was removed from service and sent to an authorized Dodge dealership for further diagnosis and repair. The manufacturer/dealer elected to replace a fuel line as part of the repair process to address the starting hesitation. The vehicle has been inspected by an authorized Dodge service department. No police or insurance inspections have occurred. Symptoms occurred intermittently and without consistent warning lights, including: delayed or hesitant engine starting requirement to press the brake pedal firmly in order to start the vehicle intermittent electrical system fault codes retrieved during diagnostics symptoms first appeared almost immediately after vehicle delivery. The vehicle has a documented history of multiple electrical communication faults, including body control and power liftgate chime control circuits. The selling dealer (westside Hyundai) was unable to retrieve these fault codes, resulting in the vehicle being out of service and pairs being coordinated at their expense. While driving the vehicle occasionally stalls without a check engine light or codes showing up.

My vehicle just clicks when I try to start it. The engine will not turn-over; it just clicks. Risk is that there wasn't any engine light warning or anything, and it is 19 degrees fahrenheit with a -14 windchill outside. My vehicle was brought to the Dodge/Chrysler dealership a few times for noises and overheating issues, but they said there weren't any problems. I knew there were issues because my vehicle's temperature gauge would go high for no apparent reason. I've been consistent with oil changes and fixed recommendations of wear and tear.

Push start vehicle stalls 3 to 5 times. While driving the dash board flickers on and off. Navigation system screen blacks out radio turns on when I have it off. Reverse camera also glitches and works sometimes. The inside lights dim up and down. The passengers window goes down on its own. And has caused the rain to damage personal items of ours.

My fuel tank was practically emptied by "gas thieves". The fuel filler compartment remains unlocked regardless of whether the vehicle is locked or unlocked. And the filler tube where the gas nozzle is inserted is capless, with just a rubber seal that expands when the nozzle is inserted. In previous models Dodge used to have a button inside the cabin right below the headlights switch to release the fuel filler door, and a safety puller string in the back of the vehicle, should the button fail to release the locked door. Not anymore, and this appears to be a cost saving change/decision in detriment of the consumer. This lack of safety feature is also true for ram 1500 pick up trucks. Dodge does not offer a locking cap option for the capless fuel filler tube, nor could I find an aftermarket one. A major concern of mine is what would happen should the vehicle roll down or lay on a side? would the fuel in the tank come gushing out, and possibly cause a fire or even an explosion? will appreciate your further investigation and response to this issue.

Fuel pump stopped working prematurely and had to be replaced prior to 57k miles. Satelite/antenna/module failure. Headlight drl have failed prematurely. Taillights burned out due to constant water buildup. Yes vehicle is available for inspection upon request.

Vehicle engine shut off while driving approximately 50mph. No prior issues or warning lamps. The failure happened without any warning. I had over half a tank of fuel at the time of the stall. Loss of engine propulsion is extremely dangerous as I was in rush hour traffic on a major highway in houston, TX. Luckily the stall occurred at an exit and I was able to safely get to a area to pull over. Dash read out said I needed to be in park to start the engine. Engine started without issue and I finished my drive home.

When driving home from work the car started malfunctioning wrong , accelerating by itself and I started to smell smoke when I pulled over to the side I started smelling smoke as soon I exited the vehicle it started flaming. Everything in my vehicle was burnt the fire department came and stated I should look up any recalls they said it was electrical. I bought the vehicle 30 days ago , dealership will not help neither the loan company I'm stuck with a vehicle who was sold with electrical problems almost to my life.

My car has had 2 repairs for fuel pump relay issues. 2014 and 2020. Recently, I noticed while driving my car will stall while accelerating on the highway. I had to pull over into emergency lane 3 times during 1 trip before, because the car stalled while driving. Just recently I noticed and took videos/pictures of the car going 40 mph but the rpm moving sporadically between 0-7000. It has always felt like a fuel pump issue but Dodge servicers does not know whats going on. There was never a warning light until it stalled recently. Red lightning bolt popped up. I have pictures if that also.

While exiting i95 in jacksonville, FL onto i10, the vehicle stumbled and lost power. Felt like it was running out of fuel. This happened at 500pm on Thursday, 14 August 2025. Thankfully, I am good driver and alert and made a two lane change onto a shoulder. The vehicle barely made it off the road with cars having to scramble to avoid us as we slowed. The vehicle would crank but not start. Upon investigating simple things, I discovered that fuse 70, the fuel pump motor had blown. I replaced with another fuse but the vehicle would still only crank but not start. We even added fuel to ensure it was not a pickup issue. My wife and I were towed home (we rode in the two truck) after a few hours on side of the road. It appears this fuel pump issue is fairly common. I am out of warranty and will pay for a repair myself. However, this could have been a very serious situation had I not been alert and had the room to maneuver across the lanes. No warning lights or any such thing is present on the dash. Also the car was not out of fuel.

On the morning of July 8th our carbon monoxide detector went off. It woke us up at 4:00 a. M. , I went down to check what was beeping open my garage door to see where the smell is coming from and my garage was close to 100°. I woke up my boyfriend and we tried to get the car out of the garage and into the driveway. The car was towed to a dealership near us, and they have had the car ever since, today is September 2nd we still do not have our car back and it still does not run right due to the fire in the gas tank they suspect that it was a faulty fuel pump. My car insurance has paid for these repairs thus far. But the car could have exploded and could have harmed me or my husband or my grandkids or my neighbor it's a very scary incident and we really do not want the car back.

Dodge Durango rt has developed the evap system failure. After stopping to refuel the gas tank the engine will not restart till after several attempts and even after restarting it idles erratic and sputters even to point of a miss and shuts off. Then it will restart and slowly clear up, and operate normal till the next refuel. I've had it into several repair shops and dealerships only to have to purchase parts and pay for repair and experience the issue again. Considering it's fuel vapor related and could cause a explosive or flash fire event in the dry summer season possibly if the vapors become a large enough volume under the hood or in a closed space.

Car has trouble turning on.

My Durango has been in and out the shop since may. It was the fuel pump and everything connected to it which is a pain in the rear. Also the design of the taillight should be assessed as well. It’s very pricy to fix when it gets the water and dark spots in it . All of us aren’t blessed with a house with a garage.

Car having trouble starting, turns over with a long crank then doesn’t start. Cranks on the second time.

Fuel spills out when you fill it up. I read there were safety recalls due to this issue for 2006 Dodge Durango's but a recall isn't appearing for my vehicle. When filling it fills fine until almost a full tank. Once it reaches full tank the gas pump clicks off then a gush of fuel spills out of my car. I bought it last year and it does it every time we put a full tank in it if you don't catch it and manually shut pump off before full. Bought the car used.

Cylinders 5 misfire egr valve malfunction.

Fuel system- had the Durango 1 month spent 50k. At least 50% of the vehicle attempted starts fail. The second attempt the vehicle starts every time. Started researching this, this is very common on the newer Durango's as well as the older ones. I have a huge fear of being stranded and the cost associated with that. I had it looked at the dealer I bought it from and they could not replicate the problem, however when I got into leave it did it the first try. Fuel line disconnected from fuel rail, causing gasoline to flow onto engine while going 55 mph, stalling motor with resulting loss of power steering and power brakes.

Car shut off while driving.

First we thought the fuel pump went bad due to the vehicle not starting. Pump was replaced and about 3 weeks later the same issue persisted. When the shop investigated it turns out the fuel tank harness and body side connector needed to be replaced due to connections becoming loose and delivering low voltage to the fuel pump causing it to burn up.

My car is having identical symptoms to a recall for it, but Dodge is saying my vehicle is "not affected", despite having identical symptoms from an identical cause. The check valve on my fuel tank has failed, and it overflows when I fill it with gas.

On [xxx] I drove my new Dodge Durango to sam's club marion illinois. I picked up prescription and attempted to start the vehicle. The vehicle had 800 miles on it. The vehicle would do nothing but click and would not start. The vehicle is equipped with the assist button and I engaged it. The vehicle was sending off codes of transmission codes, air bags need service, and vehicle was not in park. The representative in my conversation went dead as did all communication between vehicle and android auto. I thank goodness was at [xxx] because I was stranded. The manager aaron attempted to jump start vehicle no success. As this was happening a marion police officer was dispatched to find me because the vehicle apparently thought I was in a crash. The vehicle was now rendered helpless. I called and couldn't get ahold of my dealership (who was less than a half mile away). My wife managed to get ahold of another dealership who stated they could dispatch a tow truck and I would have to cover the cost. Aaron stated that we could try a new battery (after placing a tester on the battery which revealed 11. 6 volts and a capacity of 600cca. The new battery was replaced and just like that the vehicle resumed normal operation. I had to purchase a battery and it was 218. 87. The vehicles battery is under the front passengers seat, it is what I would consider a hidden compartment. The core charge was waived so I could take it to the dealership on [xxx] to find the problem. The vehicle was placed on the computer to find out the issues were all from low voltage. I am very blessed that the marion police officers body camera was activated the entire time. As did [xxx] on the lot. I can't express enough how unsafe this situation is. The vehicle was stranded as I was and would not move. The vehicle is all wheel drive and doesn't seem to have a override that will let you move it without a battery that is functional. There have been several times where I am stopped at a light or stop sign and the car stalls. It happens when I try to start going from the stop, not while I'm stopped. I believe this an issue that has been recalled already, but obviously, it did not fix the problem. My vehicle will also not turn over sometimes. It just continually try to turn over multiple times and I have to wait for it to stop on its own before I can try again.
