Took my vehicle to 1 dealership to get fixed they said they couldn’t do it because my vehicle was too old and wouldn’t be able to find parts. Took my vehicle to 2 mechanics shops that said they could fix it. Insisted I need a wire harness after completing other work they thought would fix it. My daughter came to visit and I told her what was going on. She began to look through wire diagrams of the vehicle and noticed the tipm being a common factor in the systems that were effected. She took my VIN and noticed a recall that has not been addressed. I bought this vehicle not long ago from an independent dealership… I don’t understand how it is legal that neither vehicle maintenance facility informed me of the open recall that has yet to be perform on this vehicle. I don’t understand how it is legal for a dealership not to inform me that a recall has yet to be address with this vehicle. Yet for every-time I get maintenance the VIN is to be recorded… so as I’m trying to fix the vehicle mechanics enter this VIN sees a recall that could very well be related to the recall and do nothing but charge me for parts and don’t even inform me? how is any of that legal!?.

I came into dealership for scheduled service appointment on Apr 5, 2023 10:30:00 am at edwards cdjr of omaha to get recall fixed on fuel pump relay and an oil change after receiving my 2012 Dodge Durango citadel back my lights randomly starting blanking and my vehicle stalled and it wouldn’t start or turn over. So I spoke to service rep curt at edwards cdjr of omaha 17950 burt st and had the car towed back to the dealership that fixed on it edwards cdjr of omaha. I was originally told they didn’t have a loaner to lend to me so I can continue being a caregiver to my mother and transport her and my 7 children around until 04/21/2023 and that someone would call me that day to pickup a loaner vehicle. I called on 04/21/2023 about the loaner and they said someone would call me by midday to pick up a loaner. Now it’s Monday 04/24/2023 and I get a text stating 10 things are wrong with my vehicle in this link https://c. Xtime. Com/vkepcy2nkaoa2l4fxx including the pcm, which was more items then what was originally stated when they had inspected my vehicle on 04/05/2023 during the recall fix. So I informed them that, “ I will not pay for the pcm to be fixed because this issue is a result of whoever was the mechanic that was originally supposed to fix the recall fuel pump relay, so your shop has to fix it due to negligence on your mechanic's fault. I don't want to have to take anyone to court or give this issues to an attorney, this was sent to better business bureau because I have been left without transportation and facing economic hardship due to this situation. ” then they had their service manager brent pearson reach out to me over the phone, and he said that he spoke to three on-site master mechanic at the dealership and they all said the pcm had nothing to do with the fuel pump relay recall. I asked about escalating the issue and submitting an incident report to an higher up authority, he said he can’t. I asked again about the loaner he said there’s no loaner available.

I took my car to do the recall for the fuel pump relay it worked for about a week but same problem after that I took it to a Dodge dealership and they charged me almost 900 bucks to do the recall.

Vehicle has been recalled 2 separate times for fuel pump wiring harness which causes no start and possible stall. Vehicle is still having no start issues after being serviced for recall.

When pumping fuel at gas station pump shuts off . Will not accept gas.

Periodic starting failure. Vehicle will not turn over immediately. It has a push button start. The safety of my children is at stake if my vehicle does not start during cold winter months when the outside temperature is below freezing. I am not sure I won’t shut off mid travel. It was suggested to be the type of fuel so I bought premium and it didn’t help.

I took my car into fairfield Dodge (fairfield texas). I have taken my car in about 3 times already. The first two was to do test on it. I can be driving my car and smell gas as if I stepped in it. The smell makes me sick. I can park my car and the smell is just ask bad on the outside as it is in the inside. The car dealership said OH we have found the problem. They had my car for 1mth and 2 days and changed the fuel take and canaster, OH that is it. They said it is fixed " wrong. " I smell the same smell, and just as strong as I did when I took it in. So, I called, and they told me OH well we can set you up to bring it in so we can check it out. They do not know what is wrong with it. I only have like 57,000 miles on my car and if this is a ongoing thing I think these falls under a lemon law, I bought this car new. This is very dangerous I would like to get answers on my car and not have to leave it for a month or so just to have the same thing happen again and again. Every time filling full of gas, once full it sprays gas into the air for 2 to 3 seconds. It's evident this is a manufacturing defect as multiple self reported incidents can be found online throught the years. This is vreating a significant fire risk as other vehicles can be pulling up near by. Date provided isn't accurate as this is constant if we let it fill.

I have own my Durango for about 4 years and I recently had the air bag recall repaired that it had. My vehicle also had a previous recall for the fuel tank filler tube inlet check valve. It causes gas to splash out at a large amount which splashes out at you, all over the truck and the ground. It does this every time I fill my tank. I looked it up online and mine was never replaced but “checked” before I owned it. I don’t know why it was replaced because my vehicles is obviously affected by this recall and the dealer will not fix it because it was previously checked. I’m scared of the danger this issues has. I’m a single dad and this is my only vehicle. It happens regularly every time I refuel.

I keep receiving error messages on my vehicle, I spoke to a dealership and they stated that there is in fact for a recall.

We have been to the dealership multiple times about the electrical issues that we are having with the vehicle. The dealership has not been able to correct the issue so we are pursuing the lemon law. We received an offer from Dodge to buy this vehicle back but they are not being reasonable with the amount they are willing to give. We would not be going through this if it wasn’t for the electrical issues that we are having therefore we do not feel like we should be penalized for something that we cannot control. We are scared that the vehicle will catch fire due to all of the electrical issues that we have with this vehicle.

My car sputtered put after it was in motion. Upon trying to restart, the vehicle continuously shook while trying to restart during this time, I could not stop the car from trying with the start/off button or keys. I had to wait for the car to “give up”. The car could not restart. This is unsafe because I could have been killed by other traveling vehicles to abrupt stopping or killed while trying to restart the vehicle. The vehicle could not be put into drive or reverse and I could not stop it from trying to restart once I pressed the button. This could’ve caused a collision with other vehicles. I had the vehicle towed to an auto shop. They told me that the fuel injector fuse went bad which caused the stalling because gas could no longer travel through the vehicle. I have attached towing receipt and will post report once it’s emailed.

When attempting to start and the push button is pressed, the vehicle stutters for up to 5 seconds before turning over. This is happening intermittently, but will always turn over. Vehicle has been taken to the dealership on 2 occasions (10/28/22 @ 56. 5k miles and 12/09/22 @ 56. 7k miles) where they were able to duplicate the start crank issue, but there isn't a code appearing to provide an area to troubleshoot. It was also communicated that the service technician researched several service bulletins and was not able to find any information on the happenings. Because there isnt a "failure" we have been told that the vehicle needs to fail in order to have this fixed. We have less than 58k miles on this vehicle. This has been happening since September 2022.

I almost died, I escaped my car moments before it completely exploded into flames. I was driving down the interstate and it said it was overheating for a couple seconds and then the car went completely dead going 70 miles per hour. My steering wheel locked up so I fought to pull it off the road and stop it, I had a bad feeling so I checked the front of the car but it was inflamed once I got out and my seat was consumed in fire.

Nhtsa recall #: 09v-003; the fuel tank inlet check valve sticks in the open position, causing fuel to spill out of the filler tube when the vehicle is being refueled. Fuel in the presence of an ignition source can result in a fire. Repair description: the fuel inlet check valve must be tested for proper operation. A vehicle with a sticking check valve must have the fuel tank replaced. On 08/08/2022 during the second attempt of refueling as the current owner. There was fuel spillback during refueling. On 08/08/2022, I contacted daimler Chrysler at 1-800-853-1403, case number 83760378 explaining the incident. However, customer service (ms. Kadijah) stated that the safety recall had been completed but in fact per recall status according to fca, only an inspection was performed. This is not only a serious safety concern to myself and my family but also to the community at large. Especially during refueling, with the possibility of an explosion and fire caused by fuel spilling and igniting in the process.

Vehicle was parked in a public parking area. Engine off. No one in vehicle. Vehicle had a combustible event occur under the hood. Fire department came to extinguish. Vehicle was declared a total loss. Vehicle was in excellent condition and well maintained … no prior history of issues other than routine maintenance. No recent maintenance done under hood on vehicle. No body was hurt. Thankfully. One other vehicle was damaged … plastic melted due to heat of fire on the driver side.

At 40 mph and more vehicle stalls and shake intermittent stalls, stumble. Vehicle do not cut off. But stumble real bad. It's really bad in overdrive. 2 or more people in it.

One morning I was taking my 9-year-old daughter to school and our truck just stalled while I was driving. Thank allah that there was no heavy traffic and no one got hurt. That incident has my daughter scared. I took it to the mechanic they read the diagnostic fixed what codes came up and still my truck is not operating properly. The truck still stalls while driving the mechanic has informed me. I have had my iac, map sensor, tps, ignition coil, distributor, and canister purge valve replaced.

Was driving 2005 Dodge Durango when it stalled and stopped running at a bottom of a hill. Would not start . Replaced idiole control sensor, starter, battery, crank shaft sensor and relays. Started ran for 30 minutes again just died in the middle of the road. Will not start. If someone would of come over the hills could of hit us with sever injury or possibly death. Still wont run crank over wont run.

Check engine light came on. Code states p0440 evaporative emission systems. However, I looked to see if recall was issued for my vehicle and it states a recall was issued for this but not my vehicle VIN number.

My 2012 Dodge Durango has been experiencing reaccering issues associated with the tipm and fuel pump relay. The truck will stall, hard crank or simply not crank at all; leaving me stranded sometimes. This electrical issue also affects the fog lights, front lights, brake lights and turn signals; causing them to not work; putting me in danger of a collision on the highway or city street. This tipm and fuel pump relay have been under several recalls over the past 8 years and Dodge actually lost a class action lawsuit in 2015 in reference to this issue. The vehicle shutdown and steering is not responsive. I have to quickly put the vehicle in neutral and power on the vehicle again without getting into an accident.

My 2012 Dodge Durango was serviced under NHTSA campaign 19-v813. This called for the replacement of the fuel pump relay to correct a potential no-start or stall situation. This also prevented fuel pump failure due to the unit not being switched off by the tipm when the car is turned off. This repair has not corrected the problem. The car would be available for inspection upon request. The safety of the occupants could be at risk. The problem is intermittent and has not been able to be duplicated at the dealer. There are no warning lamps or codes that can be read. The car will crank over for an extended period of time but will not start. This is an intermittent problem and occurs two times a month or more, has been happening since fall of 2020, and has been increasing in frequency. The fuel pump relay was replaced in June 2021 and the car had a no-start two weeks later. The check engine light does not come on. No codes are found by the dealer. The engine has not quit while in motion, but possibly could as this problem increases in frequency. On two occasions while the car was in motion the right rear window went down for no reason. The window could not be raised until the car was brought to a stop, turned off and started again. The window could then be raised using the driver's door control. This poses a danger to the occupants of the vehicle especially during severe weather and is at least a distraction to the driver. The common denominator in these two problems is the tipm. I think the fuel pump relay problem is actually a problem found deeper within the tipm. Chrysler is simply saying that the "flix" is a relay and not the real culprit, the much more expensive tipm. The dealer says they cannot diagnose this problem unless it is happening on their lot. They have inspected the fuel pump relay work that was done under recall and said that the installation was correct.

Crank wont start engine light etc sign and abs and crank forever then start then cut off within 5-10 secs with high rpm.

I believe that my vehicle falls under the Dodge r09 recall. As I accelerated on the gas, my car stalled out causing me to coast to the median. After about 30 minutes the car began to run without issue again. My vehicle acted exactly like the description from the recall for the fuel sensor. However, Dodge told me to pay out of pocket because it was not under the recall.

All current recalls have been performed on this vehicle. While making left and right hand turns after coasting down from a highway speed (55mph or greater) the vehicle will stall. We will loose all power steering and brakes. No warning lights come on and everything appears normal except the engine is not running. Something in the fuel or electrical system is intermittently failing. I suspect it to be a "dumb" device. Something that is told to turn on or off but there is no feedback to the computer to set a code when it fails. The vehicle is available for inspection at any time. This started occurring after one of the fuel pump relay recalls. It happens at random and is hard to duplicate, while we do have video of it, the dealer has been unable to duplicate it. The vehicle shows no codes, or anything wrong when it happens. Once the vehicle is stopped, shifted back into park, it will restart and run just fine. This has placed us in unsafe conditions in the middle of the opposing lane, in a turn, trying to restart the vehicle before another car comes around the turn. It is also hard to steer and stop a large SUV when power steering and brakes have been lost. There have been several close calls of getting the vehicle stopped prior to going off the road. The dealer has checked the vehicle over with no solution found for the issue. There has never been any warning lights associated with the vehicle stalling while driving. The vehicle does not know anything is wrong.

Fuel erupts from fuel filler neck every time the fuel tank is filled, even when filling very slowly. A half-gallon or more of fuel ends up violently spitting out of the filler neck onto people in the vicinity, onto the side of the car, and onto the ground—every time the vehicle is refueled. Many owners apparently have the exact same issue, judging by the large number of complaints on Durango and Dodge forums. Apparently, there was a recall covering model-year 2005 Durangos for this issue, but the issue is present on our 2006 Durango. This is a clear safety defect that could easily create an extremely dangerous situation.

I had just picked my car up from getting brakes and an inspection (obviously passed). I was driving home and there was smoke from under the hood with an electrical fire smell. My dash went crazy then I completly lost power. I had no stearing or brakes- couldn't even put on my hazards or roll down the window down to tell cars behind me to pass me. I immediatly called the garage that had just done the work to get it towed. They called today and told me that the alternator blew up and fried the battery and possible the computer (tip module??) I looked up recalls and noticed that there has been problems with this happening but my VIN didn't come up for this. I just wanted to check into the recall before I spent thousands of dollars.

We have had engine issues since the first couples months of having this car, the engine has been replaced 2 times, and now tipm and start/stop is having issues, this car needs to be recalled.

Several repairs for sensor labor: check and advise the check engine light is on and the vehicle wants to stall when accelerating. I'm unemployed and the truck costing more repairs. The plastic on radiator has cracked all the way cross and leaks coolant, stop radiator leak encourage by dealership and to seal leak or replace radiator (it's upsetting and its cost me thousands of dollars, my last two SUV was Dodge Durango and I love them but this one has given the most problems and cost me financially. Plus, when I purchased the dealership replace windshield because of flaw in glass and it wasn't repaired correctly and oakland county sheriff said my truck was dangerous, but you said it was fine.
