There has been a fuel pump relay recall since 2019. I have tried several times and as late as today 3/23/2021 I get the same excuse. I am told it's on a national back order and they don't know when they will get to me or I've been placed on a waiting list. I don't understand how this is so because a malfunction of this part can result in death. Again this has been out since 2019.

Dodge has issues a recall to the fuel pump relay. In the recall letter is states "a vehicle engine stall while driving can cause a vehicle crash without prior warning". I've called the dealer and told the recall parts are on backorder and would arrive in 2-3 wks. I called, the parts are restricted meaning they are only shipping 1 part per dealer per week and talking to the parts manager my car will not receive it's recall parts for months out. My car is unreliable and unsafe to drive in winter conditions in chicago. This is completely absurd. Dodge customer service provided absolutely no remedies after talking with a customer service manager.

Fuel pump relay NHTSA v62, 19v-813 while pressing the electronic ignition switch to start my vehicle, my vehicle went into a no-start condition where the vehicle cranked several times before stalling out completely. After pressing the electronic ignition switch to the off position and opening-up my driver's door to reset the vehicle. I was able to press the electronic ignition switch again and start my vehicle. This is concerning because I have had the latest v62 recall repair done corning this matter.
Fuel pump relay was replaced under campaign number: 19v813000 to resolve ignition turnover issue when starting my car. After recall was fixed in January 2021 the issue still persists.
Yesterday when attempting to start my Durango, it turned over but did not start. As this is the 5th time, I already knew what the problem was. I checked the fuse for the fuel pump and replaced it. It started back up fine. Although this time, this put my family and I in a very dangerous situation. When driving through a railroad crossing, the vehicle died on me. Moments later the barricades came down and I jumped out quickly to push the vehicle while my wife and kids were inside. I managed to get them out of harms way before the train arrived. Chrysler needs to recall this problem, like the 2011-2013 vehicles that are experiencing fuel pump relay switch. Obviously 2014 models are affected.

The vehicle has had an open recall for over a year about the fuel pump relay. My vehicle has stopped running a few times while being driven on the freeway. At first, it was able to restart after a few minutes. Then, the vehicle did not start at all. Dodge says they still do not have the proper recall repair part made yet and would still replace it with the current part that has been recalled. I did need to have that done to be able to drive. After 2 months of driving an 80 mile daily round trip to work and home, it has stopped running again. I have called Dodge and tried to get the vehicle towed and fixed properly but they act like it is not their complete concern. They are currently not providing towing or a rental. This is very unacceptable for a manufacturer to post a recall and then not get it properly fixed in over a year time frame.
3 weeks back I have noticed my car is not getting at first start. It is carryon cranks, but do not give start but second or third attempt only it get start. With remote start it donot make trouble to me. I got checked my battery, they says battery is good and may be the problem with fuel pump and replacement is very costly. I contacted my friends who own Dodge Durango, most of them said their car have the same problem specially 2014 model. Funny things is that this problem appeared to everyone in the last few months only. Look like this a manufacturers defect. Kindly request to recall this batch and advice company to get replacement at free of cost. My kind request is that if many a car owner faceing same problem then company should address it as serious matter. Kindly note that, we all Dodge Durango owners are planning to start a facebook group to air our concern in the public flatform until the management solves our difficulties. Awaiting for a reply/ contact.
1. Recently 2 weeks back my car during starting it cranks more time and after switch off and second attempt it starts. When starting with remote the engine starts normal with normal cranking. Battery voltage everything checked all ok. Dealer is telling may be fuel pump to check even they ask more money. My concern is my friend also bought same model car on same week purchased and when I checked with him he also have the same issue and problem came same time. That means the component have some manufacturer defect which will result in safety. Manufacturer should look into the matter and recall for the defect and fix due to same batch car have same fault or defect. 2. My car engine have some ticking noise which was noticed just after finished the warranty. So when checked with dealer hey told warranty finished this is valve lifter issue and it should be changed which the price is too high and I asked for just crossed warranty kilometer of 60000, it came around 65000 km and when I told dealer they advise to change and nothing can be reported I have to pay full and it wil not harm you can drive, now car drove around 118000km with that sound and now I can hear the sound is more this also some manufacturer issue which dealer did not notify the manufacturer teling just change the parts valve lifter and may be camshaft etc. If this issue us coming just after warranty period the company should take unti account the issue and find solution by recalling and fixing the issue.
We received notification of of recall v62/NHTSA 19v-813, fuel pump relay, in November of 2019. We called the dealer and were told that a remedy was not yet available. I just called again today, 16 oct 2020, and a remedy is still not available. Coming up on a year since the original notification.
~tl-the contact owns a 2012 Dodge Durango. The contact received notification of NHTSA recall number: 19v813000 ( electrical system) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact gladstone Dodge Chrysler Jeep & ram 5610 n oak trafficway, gladstone, mo 64118 (816) 455-3500 the vehicle stalls intermittently without 60 mph, the vehicle stalled as the vehicle lost power the contact coasted the vehicle to the shoulder of the road. Where the contact turned the vehicle off and back on which resume back to normal. The dealer gladstone Dodge Chrysler Jeep & ram 5610 n oak trafficway, gladstone, mo 64118 (816) 455-3500 was contacted however informed the contact that remedy is not available for the recall repair. The vehicle was diagnosed that the fuel pump relay faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure recurred. No leaks present. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available. The failure mileage was 190,000. Ck.
1. When I want to start my car it cranks more and long and does not start in first attempt, second attempt it starts. Took the car to the dealer they told fuel pump, and when the problem started its just only 110000kms. Send the message to fca they does not care they told the car finished manufacturer warranty we have to repair and its a known problem for them. Funny part is my friend also took the same car same model with one week difference he also face the same issues on same month on 2020 oct I belive. I already reported but no response. This fuel pump can cause problem while driving also if pressure fails and no supply of fuel then itbcan cause accident. The other thing is some other manufacturer for american and german cars already called for recall due to fuel pump on Jan 2021, still fca manufacturer does not care they just ignore the complaint and issue telling warranty finish. 2. My second issue happend when around 65000 lms engine is giving noise ticking, dealer told tappet issue warranty finished cant do anything. U can drive its just give sound only. Now the sound is increased and I informed manufacturer they told y I did not tell before my warranty for car is finished, and if we go and check 2014 model Durango the problem os common and they dont want to fix they just want us to pay huge amount of money to repair our own, they knows their car have these problems and they never bothered. On my view they have to take initiative to recall to fix. If u go to complaint forum there is lot like this problm. Fca just dont care after they sell their car and want to pay huge amount of money amd does not give reliable car. Nhsta have to involve and take action. Hope I will get positive action from nhsta where manufacturer ignored.
2011 Dodge Durango crew awd 3. 6l I have been expericencing no start or stall out on the truck. I have taken the truck to anchorage Chrysler Dodge in anchorage alaska for fuel pump relay recall repair. They stated that over the 3 day they had my truck that it started every time but did stall out twice. They have refused to fix the recall stating that the no start issue did not happen while in there care but that it did start and stall out. It was suggested to me by the service manager that next time I have the issue to have it towed to anchorage Chrysler Dodge. My vehicle will at random not start or will start and stall out. The dealership states they found nothing wrong with my vehicle even though they did state that it would start and stall out for them.
Fuel pump check valve is bad. Vehicle will not start, it will not auto start nor start with brake+start button. In order to start vehicle it must first be put in on mode to initiate pressure build pressure in order to then start the vehicle. There are only 90,234 miles on the vehicle.
The fuel line from the fuel pump came off while driving down the road it has never been touched it is all factory original and I found two other hoses off to both had no clamps on it from the factory this is a major fire hazard and I want to be repaid for my repairs you should've already recalled this it's on the internet and it has been proven it's happened to multiple vehicles why has this not been recalled this is a major fire hazard and you're doing nothing about it is Dodge paying you to keep your mouth shut or you as crooked as the rest of the companies out there it sounds like it because why is it all over the internet why has nothing been done this should've been took care of years ago.

I previously reported a fueling problem with this capless fuel system. This is to update the information and problem. Fuel still can't be put into the tank. The relieve valve or something in the system forces the gas station fuel pump to cut off every few seconds. The solution from the dealer and one mechanic is to replace the entire fuel tank at $1500-$1600. If you can't put fuel in a vehicle that's 3 years old with 45k miles, how can it be safe to drive? I basically have to stand there for 10-15 minutes clicking the fuel pump over and over while holding the fuel pump lever at 1/3 on. I now have no way to know if the tank is actually full or not other than guessing by how many gallons I think should be going into the tank. Guessing incorrectly results in gas pouring out of the tank, down the vehicle and all over the ground. Great for the environment.

While driving in motion my vehicle stalled in the middle of a busy intersection, I then had to coast to a street near the road, turn the truck off and restart it. No check engine light was present. It then happened again near my home, this was no longer than a 3 minute time span from the first time it happened. Weve had this happen at random times through out the year. Weve had a fuel pump relay replaced in January of 2020 which is 7 months ago and the same issue is occuring again.
8/26/2020 fuel pump relay failed, was towed to dealership, I had to pay out of pocket for for the interim repair and had to submit for reimbursement from Dodge. A week later the vehicle stalled out going down hill, twice in one day. The vehicle will have to go back to the dealership once the official parts come in, ( everything is delayed due to covid).
I am financing this vehicle as of 4 days now, there are 2 open recalls, 1. Alternator 2. Fuel pump relay (that has not been solved). My problem is my daily driver can stall out at any giving moment!!! that can cause injuries to myself and/or others. My car was left running (maybe 10 minutes tops) I put it in gear pull around my ac goes hot, my abs and traction control lights flash on my dashboard, I pull over before getting on the main road, place it in park and turn off the vehicle, it did not turn over nor turn in the ignition. I may be out of place, but how can you continue to sell, if recalls are not yet fixed? I am afraid to get on the hwy for work, I drive 15mph under the speed limit. Sincerely, a upset customer.
This is in reference to the recall on Dodge Durango fuel pump relay. Since this recall has still not been opened to be fixed, I am at the point where my vehicle is not starting because of it. If it does start I am worried of the possibility of it causing vehicle to stop while driving. I have four children and this is not acceptable. Like many others in this time of covid, I do not have the funds to fix this expensive recall. Is there any update on when this can be fixed? I have called the dealership and they said it is still not approved. This started about 3-4 weeks ago and now is getting worse. Car wouldn't start at all yesterday. I have scanned and checked everything with mechanic. He says it is recall item he believes.
My Durango has stalled numerous times. The recall for the fuel pump relay recall has been performed and replaced and two new relays have been installed. The last relay lasted two months and failed completely yesterday. My car has been towed to a dealership. There is an open recall on this issue with no timeline for a fix. I was lucky enough yesterday to get the car to a parking space instead of pulling into traffic on a busy road before it died.
Tl - the contact owns a 2013 Dodge Durango. The contact stated that the vehicle was at stand still, when the ignition failed to start. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact stated she was able to start the ignition later on. Miller Chrysler Jeep Dodge ram boise for a second time was made aware of NHTSA campaign number: 19v813000 (electrical system) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The dealer replaced the fuel pump relay. The vehicle was repaired but continued to experience the failure and was taken back to dealer. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. VIN tool confirms parts not available. The capless (no gas cap) fuel system will not allow you to put fuel in the vehicle. It has some sort of check valve that is failing and causes the fuel pump to shut off even when you are running on empty. If you search the internet, there are many complaints about this same problem. It started as an occasional problem when the vehicle was 2 years old. Now at 3 years old, the only way to fill it, is to turn the gas pump handle upside down which can cause gas to leak out on the side of the vehicle and the ground. Even this method only works 60% of the time. If you can't put gas in the vehicle, you are at risk of running out of gas on a busy interstate which is a major safety problem.
Have tried three time to get mckenny Dodge to fix safety recall for totally integrated power module but continue to be told the parts for a fix have not been provided. Earlier this year the car intermittently lost power and they replaced the oil pump ($1432). Now I have the same problem and they replaced cam position sensor ($280) but check engine light still on and problem still exists so now they want to replace the oil pressure switch and oil filter housing for ove $1,000. But with no assurance that it fixes the problem. Could the recall issue with yhe internal fuel pump relay be causing the intermittent hesitation. Why would this recall that could cause an intermittent or failed fuel pump relay that could cause the engine to stall while driving and cause a crash without warning not be fixed after being identified over a year ago.
Fuel pump relay recall still not fixed. This is one of the vehicles that is failing. It is a danger to drive. It stalls driving down the road, takes a very long time to start. When it stalls the braking fails (my main concern). Contacted Chrysler multiple times and they tell me keep driving the car, no fix anytime soon. The recalll started last year. A deadline or another temporary vehicle should really be put in place.
So the first time I couldn't figure out what was wrong with my Durango. I attempted to start the Durango and it just kept turning but would not start. At first I though it was my fuel pump. Then I looked at the fuse and the fuel pump motor fuse was a little brown on the pin. So I replaced it with the horn fuse 20a and I when I turned it to the on position I could hear the fuel pump. During the second time this happened I was I a hurry to work. I got my kids in to drop them off and I got and and tried starting it. Same thing it just keep turning but no start. I check the fuse again and the fuse is really burnt but not blown. So I wait for my wife to get home so I can buy another 20a fuse. I replace the 20a fuse and it starts. Third time this happened yesterday 6-30-20. I checked the fuse and the fuse still looks good. Did my research and found out previous Dodge Durangos have been recalled with bad puel pump relay switch failure. Now my Durango sits outside because it wont start. The bad relay switch is something that needs to be looked at with newer vehicles. I've noticed other 2014 owners are experiencing this.
Vehicle has stalled multiple times. Either right after start up or while driving. In all cases I have found that the 20 amp fuse that was installed for recall r09 from 2015 is melting and causing the fuel pump relay to fail which is causing the stall condition. The fuse is easily replaced but the stalling is becoming more and more frequent, happening at least once a week. Dodge says there is no remedy for this and there are no parts to just replace the current set up. So now I am stuck with this issue until Dodge figures out what is wrong. Each instance of stalling has occured at 25 mph or less but its only a matter of time before it happens at a higher speed.
I had a fuel pump relay replaced in 2015, and have had a lot of small problems with the electrical system over the years. Once the vehicle passed 80,000 miles this year all kinds of things started happening. The cooling system went haywire and my auto repair shop had to replace the radiator. I've been experiencing problems with my vehicle hesitating to start like it is not getting fuel, and have trouble accelerating so I cannot pull out in heavy traffic unless there is a good break which is absolutely ridiculous having a hemi v8 engine! I've been towed twice this year when the vehicle would not start at all but then it ended up starting when it got to my auto repair shop or the dealer. I was not only embarrassed but wasted time and money. My mechanic did a lot of diagnostics and ruled out everything except the fuel pump relay. I did some research and learned about the recall so I went to the dealer and asked them to apply the fix. They hassled me and said they 'can not trust your mechanics' and made me pay for diagnostics and said there was no fix for the recall. They ended up finding another problem basically telling me my mechanics were wrong and charged me over $800 for a new pcm. They did install a new fuel pump relay at my insistence even though it was the original part and not a fixed part. It resolved the starting issue and I stopped getting any warning lights. The vehicle still didn't accelerate or handle properly and not even four months later and the same problem is happening again! the fuel pump relay is obviously failing again and I am not confident the pcm had a problem if I'm still getting the same issues. Could it be the tipm I keep reading about? the dealer didn't mention that. I'm afraid I am going to be stranded with children or worse that the vehicle is going to cut out while moving in traffic!! this is an extremely unreasonable safety risk!.
My car often loses power, this is due to a fuse/relay to the fuel pump. This was a recall item, that continues to fail, while I am on the highway, city streets, and other tricky locations, sometimes even in a parking lot. This has been a recall incomplete, remedy not yet available since November 2019. I continue to buy the replacement part to repair my car, with no reimbursement from Dodge. I have had my car into Dodge 2 time for them to repair, I have purchased 2 additional and purchased at least 9 additional relay switches from amazon. So this is fails quite often, 13 relay switches. Part number is 5600 7080 ab. I need a fix soon.
Car will not start. It will turn over but not run. Recall was looked at but not fixed permanently . This is the 4th time that I am going to have this problem fixed in the past 5 years . Dodge claims that there is no solution yet . Its a fuel pump relay how hard could it be to fix . Today is 4/10/2020 it took 5 tries to start the car. Does some have to die before Dodge comes up with a solution? car can stall out when on the highway !!!!.
Car will not start. Car turns over but will not run . Recall was looked at and temporary fixed on 9/1/15 it was the fuel pump relay . On 6/18/2019 it was fixed again . It was also fixed one time before this date ( I do not have that date) today is 4/10/2020 it took 5 tries to start the car this morning . Dodge claims they do not have a solution to the problem yet . Its been 5 years !!! does someone have to die before they fox it. The car can stall out when on the highway . This will be the 4th time I will have this fixed. . Dodge fix this before me or my grand kids die!!!!!!!!!!!!.
Its been about 5 months I have called numerous times to the dealer . Every time I call they state theres no fix as yet. I lost count how many times my SUV has stalled out on me . Especially on the exit ramp of the l. I. E here in nyc. A few times I have stalled out in traffic and I mentioned this the my dealer . On April 7 2020 I took my SUV to the repair shop and they put in another fuel pump relay but my truck is still at the point of stalling out. I was told this is a temporary fix until the manufacturer has a fix on the recall. I am very afraid of stalling out on the highway at high speed . Please help. My hope is that in contacting you that there will be pressure on the manufacturer to remedy this problem before someone dies.
This vehicle has consistently given me problems with stalling. Year after year with this vehicle and I'm to the point to where I can barely drive it yet still have to pay payment after payment while fearing for mine and my children's safety in it. It's already had a recall fixed a few years back with something involving the fuel pump relay and that yet has to stop the stalling and the dealer can never tell me what the issue is. . . I can be driving 70 mph miles down the highway or 30 mph in residential and it just completely dies out on me and I lose control of power steering and all electrical goes out on dash. Sometimes I can just keep turning over ignition and it will pick right back up then other times I have to put in park and restart. I have at times, but not each time, associate the stall with hitting potholes or going over railroad tracks, bridges or anything that makes the vehicle feel a bump yet other times it does it for no reason whatsoever. I either need it to be fixed or given another vehicle of equal value. I've paid so much already and still owe 11 payments and can not afford to just purchase another vehicle. Would appreciate some help resulting in a solution to benefit me and my family's safety. The date below for when did it occur is today's date as it done it today and has done so over the last 5/6 years I've had it. .
My car broke down I took it to a Dodge dealership tel me a start went bad a fuel pump and condenser then I drive back from queens NY back to albany my car stalls on me like it did in queens now Dodge is telling it's a electric problem now plus fuel pump.
My 2012 Dodge Durango has lost all power while I have been driving it. Today is the 4th time this has happened in about 2 months. I have been driving and without any warning the car stops running and all electrical is gone, my dash is blank. I was almost in an accident today. I pulled out on a busy street and lost all power. I was able to stop in the middle turn lane and put it in neutral. It is very scary each time it happens without warning!!! this issue must be addressed and fixed. My safety and my family's safety is at stake! I am afraid and won't drive it on the interstate. This engine failure has happened 4 times in the last couple of months. This sounds like manufacturer recall # v62, NHTSA recall # 19v-813 with the stall condition while driving the vehicle. A fuel pump relay failure.
