2007 Dodge Durango. All 4 valve stems, metal is corroded. One valve stem broken off at the threads when filling tire with air. Tire dealer says they know of issues with corroding on valve stems with tpms but doesn't seem to be covered under warranty or recall/TSB. . . I cannot put air in one tire.
2005 Dodge Durango slt 4x4 tire pressure warning light
I purchased this vehicle new with approximately 35 miles on it. We test drove the vehicle and noticed the tire pressure warning light was on. It was taken to the service department as we were in discussing financing. It was brought out to us to take home and the light was still on. It was taken back to the service department to be checked again. One hour later it was brought back out and the light was still on. We were told that we would have to exactly duplicate the speed that caused the warning light to go on and maintain that exact speed for 15 to 20 miles for the system to reset and the light to go off. Mission impossible if you ask me. We now have 800 miles on the Durango and the tire pressure warning light is still on. I am told by my dealer that they have checked the tires and nothing is wrong they do not know what else to do. He offered to see if they can disable the light, but then what safety am I getting for this feature? I am beginning to think this is a material defect of some sort in the technology. My sister has a 2005 Ford expedition 4x4 and is experiencing the same problem.
