1 Transmission Gear Indicator problem of the 2015 Dodge Durango

Failure Date: 07/27/2019

Chronic intermittant problem with transmission failing to go in correct gear. When going from park to drive or reverse the vehicle stays in the last gear. I have had to turn off vehicle and wait 15 seconds to reset power train module. While driving the gear knob light starts flashing. The vehicle was showing drive but it was still in reverse and went backwards. I have taken the vehicle to the dealer three times to have the power train module to be re-programed. The power train module has subject to recall at least twice!.

3 Transmission Gear Indicator problem of the 2001 Dodge Durango

Failure Date: 08/17/2001

When gear shift lever is put all the way into park positioning, sometimes vehicle will not indicate it is in any gear at all. There is a square which surrounds the p, d, n, etc. On the gear indicator, and none of them will be outlined. In addition to sometimes not indicating the car is in gear, it can be in a different gear than indicated. It can say it is in drive but when accelorator is depressed the vehicle does not go anywhere. It simply revs as if it is in neutral. I consider this a safety problem as the vehicle could roll over my small children if I think it is in park but it actually isn't. The vehilce has been in for repair 3 times and I am told this happens but there is no repair for the problem.

4 Transmission Gear Indicator problem of the 1998 Dodge Durango

Failure Date: 03/20/2000

Upper and lower balljoints and front tie rod ends had to be replaced at my expense due to being totally worn out and front tires where worn bald on the inside due to this problem. Gear shift indicator is also not aligned properly since purchase, sits in between neutral and drive while in drive position, transmission will hang in first gear or slip when accelarating causing high rpms, have mainly experienced this problem when vehicle is low on gas, as strange as that may be. Have also experienced problems with the vehicle leaking a clear liquid on the passenger side floorboard which appears to be coming from the air conditioner condensation.
