Left side rear passenger door stuck in the lock position, unable to open it neither electric or manual, neither from outside or inside. The engine just turned itself off in four separate occasions, twice while crossing the intersection. Gaskets (y conector between hoses) of the cooling system blown off while driving on the highway , toxic antifreeze spilled out of the system, dangerous for passengers and environment. Rear calipers jamed because of excessive and unusual rust. Steering wheel jamed few times while driving, being necessary to stop the car, turning the engine off and on to be able to continue driving(this happened on the highway, and in the city, extremely dangerous). I have a transmission manufacturing defect that should be afforded the same consumer protection as the 2012 Grand Caravans with engine sludge. My pump and axle seals began leaking while I was driving at 45 mph. I didn't notice until 20 miles were on the odometer. The dealership refused to examine it before I had to release it to ams vans for wheelchair conversion. It was returned to me with 36 miles on the odometer and it was leaking during the additional 16 miles. Unless Chrysler is willing to provide documentation that this transmission cannot be damaged by running it without fluid it should have been replaced under the 5 year 50,000 mile drive train warranty. But Chrysler and the dealership have refused to do so, replacing only the fluid and seals and leaving me with a damaged transmission on my new vehicle. This leak was documented by more than one technician not working for Chrysler or the dealership where it was purchased. Updated 04/13/12 . . Updated ivoq 04/19/12

the consumer stated the check engine light did not illuminate and the vehicle is not being driven, because of the loss of transmission fluid which was installed at the Chrysler manufacturing plant for the purpose of lubrication and cooling the components, which reduced any possibility of protecting the moving parts and seals. Therefore, the transmission is as unsafe as the 2012 Dodge caravan engines that are being replaced under recall for sludge. Updated ivoq 05/22/12 updated 05/24/12

I have been having a problem with my transmission leaking from the transmission coolant hose. Vehicle was still under warranty, took to Dodge dealer and they replaced hoses and clamps, 1 month later leaking again and they stated that it was probably a bad part. They replaced them again. 1 year later problem returns and now they want to charge me to replace the hoses, the reason this happened according to them was the hose clamps they used. Now they have changed the clamps, this should not be my responsibility to pay for since they are changing a manufacturer's part. This should be a recall.

Power train:transmission cooler lines leaking.
Transmission fluid leaks. First it appeared that it was leaking from the transmission oil pan, 3 weeks later the transmission hoses and clamps, two weeks later, its leaking from the transmission coolant packs. The vehicle is only two and a half yrs old, this should not be happening. Between each visit it stopped leaking for a couple of weeks.
Molded transmission cooling lines leaking at left front. Had to repair at local garage due to excessive leakage and long mileage to dealer. Was informed of large back order on molded lines, so bulk lines were used. Mechanic has seen same problem on Dodge minvans on other occurrences.

When we towed our vehicle to the dealer, they looked at it for two days and reported that there was nothing wrong with our vehicle. We urged them to investigate a bit futher. Two days later they found transmission fluid to be contaminated and pump failure. Cost $1200, and that too to rebuild the trans, not new one. I checked on the daimlerchrysler web site about the procedure in such a case, and tried to follow all the steps they have described there. It took me more than three weeks to contact the district manager; they would not give me his direct number. In all, my vehicle was at the dealership for more than 6 weeks. Went back and forth with the manufacturer and the dealer; I ended up paying $600 because I needed the vehicle before the summer was over. I have not settled in any way. I received extermely poor service from the dealer, and the manufacturer.
