On the evening of 03/04/2021 @ 9:00pm. Whilr driving home from the grocery store doing approx 35 mph, my van suddenly lost all power and ability to use power steering and use of brakes. I had my children in the vehicle at the time and they were able to help me get the van out of the travel lane and safely into a parking lot. Van did not want to start after cutting off the ignition switch and cutting it back on. When I restarted the van it wouldnt accelerate passed 15mph with the pedal all the way down to the floor then it constantly stalled out 8-10 times the last mile from home.

Van has failed to turn on multiple times, park turn off vehicle and in as little as 10 minutes later it would not start. I replaced alternator and battery apparently after going to multiple mechanics that didn't find the problem with diagnostics I found out it was neither it was a faulty tipm. 6-8 months later started having issues with the car stalling out and having an issue turning back on. I have stalled on multiple occasions on the freeway I have contacted Dodge and the recall is not for my year of vehicle. Parts for this are expensive along with labor. Dodge needs to recall this issue because the last time this happened to me I was driving 60 mph on the freeway car behind me was close and my van stalled could of got hurt or killed and so could the other driver. Brakes need to be changed often as well more than I've ever had to change them for any other vehicle.

Vehicle stalls completely while in motion (driving, about 10-30 mph). Electrical shuts off at the same time as well as power steering. Car is able to restart normally after put back in park. Happened a second time 30 seconds after restarting. Haven't driven the vehicle since. Dealer found no issues.

The braking system is horrible, transmission slips, stalls when it wants, or just doesnt start. And what is going on with the senors?? like come on you guys know this "family" van is not safe!!!!!! recall the whole damn van all this has happened over the years of me having this van.

Within the last week (may 8, 2020 - may 15, 2020) my van has suddenly stalled and died 3 different times. Incident 1 - driving on a 45 mph straight road when suddenly the engine died and lost power to all electrical components. After pulling off to the side and shutting the ignition completely off it started right back up and ran well. Incident 2 - driving on a 30 mph straight road. After just having crossed a bridge suddenly the engine died and lost power to all electrical components. Again, it started back up just fine and ran well. Incident 3 - pulled into a parking spot and placed the vehicle in park when the engine and electrical components shut off.

Vehicle seized up and stalled during driving. Previous cranks but won't start 1 year many times. Did a relay bypass wire to start vehicle. Transmission problems and not acceleration.
Vehicle, stationary, car does not start on the first try if it sits for over 4 hours. Cranks then stalls, or cranks over and over until eventually catching. New: car battery, battery tender/charger, new/upgraded spark plugs, new/upgraded ignition coils. Appears to be tipm failing. Has been getting progressively worse over the past few weeks.

My van,2002 Dodge Grand Caravan, randomly stalls while driving down the street/road whether on straight road or a curve, or with a full tank of gas or less, gas seems to be irrelevant . After stalling will not restart. I have replaced all Mini-fuses,battery, starter, and still will stall. Sometimes while driving above 25 mph while still moving it will restart on its own. This is a huge safety issue.

When pulling out onto the main road from the neighborhood, steering failed (stiff as if no power steering and vehicle propulsion failed (foot on the gas produced no forward motion). Vehicle was quiet. Almost like a stall or as if the vehicle was in neutral, but there was no indication that the vehicle had stalled. Driver turned the vehicle off and back on and was able to resume normal driving. This is the third or fourth incident.

Car will stall a few minutes after filling the gas tank. It will stall in the middle of driving on the road and will not restart for 20 minutes causing a dangerous situation.
Mileage: 100,000 the engine will cut out while driving. Dash lights will flash, warning chime will beep, and the vehicle will rev and lurch forward before dying. This leaves the car at a coast. When the vehicle is brought to a stop, it restarts without a problem. Has happened in cold and warm weather alike. . Has happened while coasting, braking, and accelerating. Most stalls have been while driving straight in the city. No highways stalls to date . Cause: unkown; we have not been able to reproduce the event reliably, though it now occurs with some frequency (e. G. Driving more than 20 min). I suspect the power control module (pcm) or the ignition switch somehow moving between on and accessory modes. Available data: issues similar to this one can be found on forums, it does not seem that many have been able to resolve the problem, despite replace the computer and alternator.
Dodge Grand Caravan 2012 stalled in motion while driving on an expressway at the 65 mph speed limit. The following morning I took it out on a country back road and again it stalled in motion while driving 55 mph speed limit. I was able to steer the car without power steering, and apply brakes but the spedometer, gas, and engine all died as I was driving it as if the car was turned off. I am doubtful the rear brake lights were working and am lucky no one was behind me. From looking it up I am told that this is an issue with Dodge jeeps and vans related to the tipm module. If I was aware of this issue before buying the car, I might have reconsidered, it is seriously dangerous and someone could easily be killed if this happens while someone is driving behind you and the van just dies.
Vehicle stalls/dies while driving. My family was on the freeway and the Dodge caravan just died. Lights still worked but engine suddenly quit running. Had to coast to the side of the road after almost being run over by other vehicles. A police officer had to push vehicle off of freeway. This has happened intermittently on city streets and 3 times on the freeway. It happens at slow and fast speeds. It is extremely unsafe and scary. We had a fuel pump relay bypass installed as we've read this could be the problem. But vehicle still dies while driving. Someone is going to get hurt or killed. Please help!.

The van started randomly shutting down/turning off/stalling (however you want to term it) while in drive and in motion. Happens at any speed, any road conditions, all gas levels, and any temperature. Last occurrence was 4 times in less than 10 mins. 3 separate mechanics have no idea what's wrong and since it can't be produced at will, they are unable to diagnose. It's only a matter of time before something happens and results in an accident. This has been ongoing since September 2018.
Saturday 15, 2018 my family and I were driving back from the mall, I was driving at about 55 miles an hour when the vehicle stalled and just died in the middle of the highway without any warnings or signals on the dash. I managed to use the momentum and pulled over to the shoulder, it restarted after 9 times try. Thankfully we were able to make it home. A month before vehicle was parked in driveway and it wouldn't start, towed it to mechanic and replaced alternator. Till now vehicle always stalls when slowing down or coming to stop. This vehicle acts like it have been taken over by supernatural forces and what happened last Saturday was very scary to my family. I have read a lot of the same complaints on this site about this vehicle and it is very upsetting that the maker have not taken responsibility in addressing this safety issue. I wonder how many people will have to die first before they address this safety issue. Let it be clear I will sue, god forbid any happen.

Over the last 6 months we have encountered the following issues: all have been a stopped position. 3 times the van would not start. It would not turn over. The van has started to stall on regular basis. The van takes 2 to 4 attempts to start. On October 17, 2018, the van would not start at all. We had the van towed. They stated there was no pressure to the fuel pump. $900 dollars later, they state the van is ready. We go to pick it up. The van would not start for 3 attempts. Then the van started with a different key. Drove it for 4 minutes and then park and turned off the car. Went to start it again, it kept stalling. It stalled about 5 times. We switched back to the first key that would not start the car. It actually started twice. We left the van with the auto repair place. They stated there were no issues with the van. We got it back on October 18th. It has only started one time since then the first try. It has stalled occasionally since then. Once on oct 21st, the braking system did not engage while the van was being back out. Once before the issues started to happen, the gas pump did not stop and the fuel over flowed.
