On several occasions (5 to date) the engine has stalled while the vehicle is moving at a steady speed. Each time the vehicle has been moving at less than 20mph and has been running for a relatively short period of time 5-10 min from cold start. We took the car to the dealer, but no codes were set and they couldn't find anything wrong. They say the engine is not due for maintenance for another 15,000 miles. We are extremely disappointed in this response given the seriousness of having the engine stall while the car is moving. Heaven forbid it occur while on the highway.

While driving, the engine stalled. My wife had to pull over while turning to restart the van. This happens intermittently. This issue happens weather the engine is cold or warmed up. When the van stalls, an engine light comes on. The light goes off after a few days. My mechanic can't find the problem. I see that Chrysler had a recall for their 2010 models because of an ignition switch issue. This is a very serious issue. My wife is afraid to drive the van because she doesn't know when the van will stall and loose all power. This is serious because when the van stalls, she looses all power steering. My wife has to try to put the van into neutral to get it started while driving and or turning the vehicle. This model year van has no recalls from Dodge for this issue . What am I to do . I do not want to wait for an accident to happen before someone fixes this issue. I have read the chat forums, and many people are frustrated because there are no solutions to this problem.

This is a repetitive, almost daily problem. When vehicle is first driven in the morning, it stalls during driving after about 1 to 2 miles of travel. This stalling has occurred daily at speed around 30 mph, and I have to quickly push control to neutral, try to restart ignition (usually starts in about 2 to 3 seconds) to regain power steering and power brake controls. This condition has almost caused an accident on several occasions as steering and braking is significant reduced as engine stalls (I. E. No power). I saw in reading internet stories, that 2010s were recalled after 2 accidents. I fear I may be an accident, and have taken vehicle to repair, but no trouble has been found yet. If Chrysler/Dodge know about a faulty/defective problem, I really hope they will notify me immediately. I have sent an email to Dodge customer service in hopes of getting an answer quickly. Meanwhile, I'll try to anticipate the stall as much as I can to avoid an accident, as I have a need to continue to drive this vehicle even with this faulty condition.

Recurring issue of engine stalling after refueling. Usually within 5 minutes of filling, and when driving slowly. Internet search indicates this is a rampant problem, not only with caravans, but with other Chrysler/Dodge vehicles. Apparently the entire gas tank requires replacement, which indicates to me it is a design flaw and should be recalled.
While driving our 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan sxt with a 4. 0 engine the engine just stalls while driving and the vehicle loses all power, brakes and steering! this has happened 2 times in the past 2 weeks. The speed of the vehicle does not matter. The dealer said they had not heard of this before and I should check the battery. No codes come on and the battery is fine, along with all other electronics.
The van motor cut out while turning left at an intersection and another car collided with the van. The front air bags went off . There was considerable damage to the front end. On numerous occasions I complained to the dealer that the engine was stalling, cutting out, missing and lack of power. The dealer could not find a problem and nothing showed up on the computer. The dealer has a record on file of my complaints. Has anyone pursued legal action regarding similar problems such as I have experienced?.
This incident occurs every time I fill up with fuel. It began at approximately 35,000 miles and continues until this day at about 116,000 miles. Incident description: I enter the gas station. I fill up with fuel until the pump stops, not a "top-off". I start the ignition and begin to drive away. The engine stutters and sometimes stalls completely. After a short distance, 3 miles or so, it runs normally. Recently after my knee surgery, my wife was driving and pulled out into traffic, left hand turn, after a refuel. We were trying high-test ethanol free gasoline. Well she made it into the center turning lane and waited her turn. When an opening arrived she pressed the accelerator and the van started and failed completely, leaving us half-way in the lane for oncoming traffic. Thankfully the oncoming traffic slowed as they blew their horns and she was able to restart the van and begin to drive. This was a most miserable experience especially since we had all three of our small children in the van with us. Something really needs to be done to correct this ongoing and dangerous issue.

Speedometer erratic whilde driving freeway speeds. The speedometer will jump to 120 causing the engine to stall if the need is not released. This happen on the freeway and had to coast over to the emergancy lane "imediatly" . The cause was the rss speed sensor (203 c 4800879 and the outpu rss speed sensor 204 c) this is a major safty issue when it stall on the freeway with my family in the minivan. This should not have been a repair payed for by the consumer for faulty design!.

Warm start, engine may stall or stumble when accelerating from a full stop. Attempting to pull out, across an intersection may result in being stalled in the middle of an intersection. Transmission shifts erratically/randomly with harsh engagement (apparently related to engine control trying to process erratic speedometer output). Speedometer erratic/random output from 0 to 120 mph and as a result engagement of the cruise control results in engine attempting to match random speedometer reading. Cruise control problem results in random & uncontrolled acceleration.
