I have repeatedly taken the van in for repairs for fuel mileage and pinging under acceleration as well as rattling in the steering column, intermitant wipers will stop working intermitantly. The most resent problem is the vents on the drivers side of the dash board cannot be shut off while the heater is on, this causes my head to get very warm while my feet are cold. The wiper switch, body computer and motor have been changed at 4 seperate trips to the dealer and this has not repaired the problem. All of these complaints have caused the van to be out of service for 14 days at the dealer, none of the problems have been resolved.

Your NHTSA campaign id number 00v268000 identifies a recall that is not being honored by the manufacturer or the local dealership. Fuel leakage is present currently. This fuel rail was recalled on the 3. 5 engine in the Dodge caravan but not on the 3. 8 the fuel rail is the exact same part as was recalled on the 3. 5 but was not recalled on the 3. 8 I had top repalce the fuel rail on my 3. 8 with the same part as was recalled on the 3. 5 engine. I feel that Chrysler should be made to recall the fuel rail on the 3. 8 engine just as it had to on the 3. 5 wengine. I do not believe I should have to pay for this repair which was just under $325. It is unbeleivable that I should have to replace a bad part on the 3. 8l engine with the exact same part as was recalled on the 3. Engine. Please contact me about this.

Recall number 00v268000. Vehicle is experiencing recall problem, but not selected for manufacturer's recall. Fuel is leaking from fuel injection fuel rail. Please give any further details.
When I took the car in for routine maintanence, it came back with a recall for the fuel rail that can cause a fire. However, the dealer claimed no inormation yet on this recall, so it is not yet fixed. After research, I discovered that the recall date was 9/14/2000 . This is 16 months ago. The manufacturer did not provide me with notice via first class mail as required. This seems like a long time between recall and when I found out. Should not this recall information and the fix needed already have been taken care of? how long does it take after recall to get the fix to the dealers?.
