: the contact stated while the vehicle was parked in a parking lot, upon attempting to enter the vehicle, the occupant's purse became entangled with the column gear shift allowing the gear shift to move out of place without the keys in the ignition. The vehicle rolled backwards down an incline where a bystander entered the vehicle and engaged the emergency parking brake. There was a NHTSA recall, # 04v021000, regarding the automatic transmission floor shift. The vehicle was not included in the recall due to the VIN. The manufacturer was notified. : the contact stated while the vehicle was in park, without the keys in the ignition, the contact's unattended grandchild shifted the column shift and the vehicle rolled downhill and crashed into a tree. No injuries were sustained. The vehicle sustained moderate damage to the rear and left side panel area. A police report was taken. The dealer was alerted.

After dealership indicated that the floor shift ignition park interlock recall 04v021000 repairs were performed consumer was able to remove the key from ignition without the vehicle being in park. When the dealership was contacted they indicated that the recall repairs were not performed because the parts weren't available.
